LOL! No, I meant that I'm crap at measuring so never sure if I'm actually measuring the same place each week! But I'm starting to get into clothes that are 3 sizes smaller, so I know I'm shrinking.

We've stayed there before, including after the Tsunami when it was deserted, so I e-mailed and asked for a special rate! And the flights were $0 (plus tax) because I booked ages ago.

(And I'm also hoping to be in a nice (as opposed to black, and hidden under a big tee-shirt) cossie by then. Think I'm a bit long in the tooth for a bikini!

It's fantastic you are getting your head around being slim!!

Oh and as for bikinis - go for a tankini rather than a one piece - no more flesh exposed than a one piece but much nicer and yummy mummy-ish!

Can't believe how quickly I'm going through clothes. Things that I tried on 10 days ago that were too tight are almost too loose.

(Or perhaps my taste is changing away from loose clothes).

Hi Future Yummy Mummy, congratulations on your loss ! You are so steady and going strong. If you get time put a jug on your food scales and pour in water until you see 1.3 kgs and imagine that is melted fat, that is what left your body in the 7 days to weigh in last time, now pour it on your plants and it is gone. A friend did that for me when I was a bit disappointed with my loss and it made me realize just how much weight it really was.

Hi mumandnana

My son weighs about the amount I've lost so far. I can't believe I used to carry the equivalent of him about with me all day, as I struggle to carry him at all!

Hmmn, actually feeling a bit fed up about other stuff, but regarding the diet 100% on track. I've even stopped thinking about the speed of weight loss - it'll happen when it happens. But it will happen.

Oooh, a few weeks ago I bought a red crushed velvet jacket (nicer than it sounds) in the sale in size 14, figuring that I can alter it smaller if need be. There was a 3 inch gap all down the front. Tried it on yesterday and the buttons do up. I mean it looks stupid at the moment, but it actually does up.

Looks like it'll definitely be too big!

Feeling very stressed. Desperately trying to finish my MBA project, which has been going on for about 15 years it seems. I've taken ro working in IKEA cafe (a la J K Rowling) as there's no Internet or little boy to distract me. The trouble is there's wafting food smells!

Ok, weigh day:

Week 1: 5.1kg, 8cm gone
Week 2: 1.7kg, 4cm
Week 3: 1.6kg, 8cm
Week 4: 1.2kg,8cm
Week 5: 1.5kg, 3cm
Week 6: 1.2kg, 3cm
Week 7: 1.4kg, 0cm
Week 8: 1.4kg, 7cm
Week 9: 1.3kg, given up measuring as I'm so crap at it. Clothes sizes are getting smaller, that'll do me!
Week 10: 1.2kg,
Total: 17.6kg

Lots of compliments at work yesterday. Two "you look really slim"s, one puzzled "I like your scarf" and a puzzled "Is your hair different?".

Ok, gotta go. Teaching all day SAt and Sunday so have to make lunch to take both days, and get back to IKEA...........

Have a good weekend everyone
