Re: Panda's Diary
If I have a large apple, I cut it in half and that's two serves - large apples are about 200g without the core, so then I feel entitled to a small Mandarin or something later on to make up the fruit allowance. But I struggle to keep the 2nd half for long! I'm yet to find a "medium" apple so go by the weights as I don't really know what a medium apple looks like. |

Re: Panda's Diary
Help needed please - how do I set up a new thread? If it's super easy and I'm being techno-stupid, please be kind and respond as if it's really difficult..... spare my sensitive feelings.
If it's really difficult to do or you need to ask a moderator, could someone let me know as I've hunted and searched and sorted and filtered, but no, just not getting it. |

Re: Panda's Diary
Hi Panda, go to the part of the forum you want to start a thread, at the top left of that page will be a little box which says 'start thread', click on that, put in your title and away you go.

Also found it easier not to have chewing gum - too many bad experiences lol. Years ago I chewed like it was going out of fashion and ended up with such a huge dose of colic, I didn't touch it again for a loooong time. Then 1 day I decided to have another ago and lost a filling in my tooth, Expensive piece of gum that turned out to be. Haven't touched it since,. lol |

Re: Panda's Diary
Hi MumChum - yes I'm waiting for 2.5 hours - same as with crackers, but if I have yoghurt with fruit and sweeteners with a fruit portion or even half one, then I want an apple for morning tea around 10.30. On a bad day I could eat the remaining half around lunchtime. But I've been better today - given up chewing gum and also yoghurt with sweetener, so I'll see how the week goes. I also have sinusitis again - already had 4 doses of antibiotics, so taking lots of sudafed, panadol, anti allergy stuff. Probably not helping either.
Glad to know I'm not alone on the chewie front! I felt like such an addict but feel more like a normal person. today. |

Re: Panda's Diary
Ewww darling Panda! Sinus.... you poor bugger! I've only had it 'bad' once (a girlfriend had me bend over a hot bucket with a towel, then she'd rip it off me and put a bag of frozen peas on, then alternate back... let's just say it was TOTALLY gross). I hope it doesn't last!
I can't believe your three fifths of the way gone too!!! I wan't to come play in 'only 20kg land too'!!! hmmm, me thinks I'll just keep stalking you and trying to be a good as you. XXX |

Re: Panda's Diary
WSM - thanks for popping in. I've got used to it and usually go the drug route, but maybe the old hot water and vicks is a good idea thanks, especially at night. AND you are doing so well - you will be in the 20kg bracket before you know it.

Re: Panda's Diary
Panda, have had a sinus infection once in my life and I can still remember the pain - I hope it doesn't last for much longer! No suggestions other than to do as little as possible til you're better. But how's that goal kicking! You are rockin' it!

Re: Panda's Diary
OK I'm verrrrryyyyy happy. Reached another goal - 88 kgs and 2/3 of the way to my goal. Every week I just feel better and better and fitter. I still can't believe my good luck that I've found Dr Cohen's plan - and I can't believe that it just keeps working and working and working and I keep losing. I love it.
C-Jaye, feeling better now thanks. Turned out it was either viral or allergy so the antibiotics were doing absolutely nothing. Wish I'd known that earlier and saved my tummy from the onslaught. |

Woooo - hoooo! Nana fest for Panda. 32 kgs down is totally amazing! And an 80's girl to boot. Many congratulations. I completely echo your sentiment about being SOOOO thankful for finding Cohens (or the other way round). The gift of health and the sense of acheivment is priceless. ff |

Re: Panda's Diary
28 jumping beans! I am sooooo honoured FF. Thanks.
And yes McPsych, beginning to work out the Latin medical terminology in medicine through personal experience. There's "virus" as you've kindly defined as no idea what's wrong. Then there's "sub-clinical" which roughly means it won't kill you (yet). Come back when it moves into the antibiotic territory and then we can talk business. And let's not forget "allergy" which means not only don't I know but I'm going to get you to find one of those vitamin, naturopath kinda freaky people. I can't refer you because they are not real doctors. |

Re: Panda's Diary
Hi Winghama - thanks sooooo much. I'm starting to feel like on the home run, although still a long way to go. I've read of other's struggles when their weight is lower so I'm ready for whatever challenges pop up in the next 2 or 3 months.
Kenga - thanks so much for your good wishes and congrats. And would love to do a Sydney catch up. I haven't had much time on the forum recently so missing lots of posts and diary visits. I'm free after school hols - away till 18th, and only one booking for a dance comop (not me!) on Sat 24th. So organise away and I'll be in it.... |

Panda - you've done 2/3 of the losing bit - that is 66.6666666666666666666%! More than half way to goal! Actually a lot more than half way!
I was thinking that you'll be in Maintenance Land for Xmas but I really think that you might get there for Father's Day! How does early Aug sound to you for a catch up? |
