Thank you Odette I do feel fantastic! I know I've still got a way to go but I am already enjoying the compliments and smaller clothes and just feeling happier in my smaller body! I'm looking forward to the last of the fat stores saying goodbye and then hopefully my body will firm up and I'll be able to maintain my slim figure

You're going to be in this same enjoyable place before you know it!

I haven't posted lately cos life has been busy but I got a lovely surprise today when I tried on some of my smaller jeans, thinking that they still wouldn't fit but they do and what's more, they are very roomy around the legs!! I love this about Cohen's ...... that we are guaranteed a smaller body and at a rate that is faster than we can even believe!

Finding it hard to get into the Christmas thing. Haven't made my Christmas cake or finished my shopping or planned my food. I will be working Christmas Eve which is when we normally do our hot Christmas meal (cold leftovers on Christmas Day) but I just look at all the Christmas treats in the stores and because I have no intention of eating any I can't seem to buy any for my family either. I'll have to get my shrinking butt into gear soon though - less than 2 weeks to Christmas!

What should be a good motivator for keeping me on track is that I have a blood test due between Christmas and New Year ..... I hope my local Clinipath is going to be open!

Monday is weigh in day so will post again then.

Now that is awesome to fit into the smaller jeans.

Good luck with the prezzies and food supplies. I am guilty here too. Still have heaps of shopping to do.

Let us know about your weigh-in.... drum roll.... curios#

It would be awesome to update the ticker to a number smaller than 8kg to go.

Thanks for your visit EEE I'm happy to report a great loss this week - 1.7kg putting me in sight of the 60s (oh so close!!) and 6.3kg to go to the top of my goal range.

I've woken up feeling hungry the last few mornings, not unbearably so, but have been fine during the day. I think that as I near goal weight it's going to be a fight between real hunger and the mind games, knowing that I will soon be able to eat more and in my mind thinking this is the end of the journey. I will need to remind myself that this is not the end but only the beginning of my new life, my new way of eating and maintaining the slim body I've been working towards.

I also only have 2kg to go to be the lightest member of my family ... my 19 year old daughter who is not at all overweight.

At the weekend I decided to advertise my daughter's wedding dress for sale (not the one she wore - she had 2 beautiful options but could only wear one of them). The best way to take the picture was to put the dress on and as she is in Switzerland on honeymoon I put the dress on myself so my hubby could take the picture. (Headless shot ) I couldn't believe it when I fitted easily into the dress!! My daughter that just got married had the dress made to fit and she takes a size 10! So stoked!!

Anyway, that's my update for this week.

Feeling strong and looking forward to being in the 60s next week.

Louise

Now, that is KICKASS!

WELL DONE! WELL DONE!

And to fit into a size 10 wedding gown is something to be very proud of. Keep your eye on the goal, it might be here sooner.

I also can't wait for refeeding and maintaining. But I have a long journey ahead of me prior to refeeding. In the meantime... Keep Calm and Cohen on.

Thank you for your visits EEEE and Audree <3

It's been a tough week at work with all the naughty goodies on the lunchroom table but I'm hanging in there. I want goal weight more than I do the naughty foods.

My highlight of the week was someone telling me I had a skinny butt!! Lol - it's not been my main feature for many years so I was thrilled to hear it

Another good thing from this past week was my manager telling me I was getting thinner every time she saw me but in reality my weight (apart from last week) has been going down quite slowly. I guess the cm are taking their turn now and I do feel thinner each week so something is definitely happening. I do wonder though if being perimenopausal has something to do with the slower weight loss as I am not as "regular" with TOM as I used to be. In fact, I haven't seen TOM for 2 months and no, I'm not pregnant.

I am also trying not to weigh every day at the moment so it will be interesting to see where my weight is tomorrow (weigh day).

One thing I'm sure of - the quickest way to goal is sticking to the plan - which is what I'm doing

I wish somebody would tell my butt to get skinny - lol. But I am sooo happy for you!

It is really hard work before the butt shrinks.

And off course the self esteem bonus when other people notice your are fading away.

Well done to be honest to yourself by sticking 100% to your plan because at the end, it is only yourself you are cheating. And it is only you who want the results.

Take care over this Festive Season.

Keep Calm and Cohen on!

Great job in passing up the goodies! I've had to do the same at work. I to desire to lose this weight more than I want the food. I've not weighed myself but feel thinner . Congrats on such a wonderful accomplishment!

Can't wait to see your progress. Hope Christmas wasn't too hard. I gained a little and I am back on plan for a few weeks to drop the extra 4 kgs.

Hi AZ and Audree

Thanks for popping in to check up on me.

I found the whole Christmas period incredibly hard, much harder than I thought it would be. I think it's because I'm an emotional eater and with my daughter now living in the UK and my Mum and Dad (and brothers and sisters) living so far away and the constant bombardment with food I really struggled. However, I didn't eat a single mince pie, had no Christmas pudding, passed up on all the choccies etc. that were on offer in the staff room and even worked extra shifts to help me through this time. BUT, I did eat lamb instead of beef and eyeballed cauliflower cheese (scraping the sauce off) for Christmas lunch. There were also a few other minor variations to my eating plan but all in all I felt in control.

My weight loss has been extremely slow in the last few weeks but it is still going down and I've left the 90s, 80s and 70s behind and am in the 60s at last! Just this week I've had 5 people at work tell me I'm getting thinner every time they see me but it doesn't feel like it because my losses are so slow at the moment.

Anyway, I'm hanging in there and looking forward to being at the stage of not having to weigh all my food all the time. It's not that I necessarily want to eat bad stuff, I just want to be able to eat without weighing everything

I haven't had much time to catch up here in the last little while but hoping to do so today and over the weekend.

Thanks again for your visits <3

Hi S2BS

You are way better than me! I had ice cream on Xrissie. I think I will sell my kidneys for ice cream. Aren't we all emotional eaters.

You did extremely well. I wish I could be leaving the 70's...sigh.... but I got to win the battle with the 80's for now.

I get that you don't want to weigh your food all the time. You are going so strong and almost there.

How long did it take you to loose 22.7 kilos?

Well done on your great losses, I envy you.

Well done for great effort over Christmas - you sound as though you were focused which is what needed at that time of year.

The last 5 kgs are the exciting kgs - when you really notice a difference. I imagine you are going thru a re shaping stage where while it is not noticeable on the scales, it will be on the tape measure.

Thanks for your visits and comments in my diary E, WB and Ladel. Your support and encouragement means a great deal to me.

To answer your question E ... I started this journey in August but probably would have finished by now if life (i.e. daughter's wedding, Christmas etc.) hadn't got in the way. While I was as good as possible I wasn't able to be 100% during those times and had to eyeball some quantities and make the best of the choices I had. This has likely contributed to my slow weight loss recently but now that it's all over I'm looking forward to normal losses and finishing this stage before much longer.

Just yesterday, while pondering the end of this part of the journey, I realised that I don't have to get to goal to celebrate how good I already look and feel. In my mind it's been as if I am only permitted this joy when I finally get to goal but then I realised that this is a lifestyle change and there is no reason I can't enjoy the new me now, there's no reason to "put it off" any longer

I have also started noticing that work colleagues who I had previously considered as being slim and fit aren't as slim as I am now! That was a huge wake up! My perception of what thin/slim looks like has obviously changed as I've lost weight.

Needless to say, the celebration of my slim body will not include "forbidden" foods but rather just be about knowing I look good in most clothes now and feeling SO much more comfortable in my skin. One small thing that I enjoy every working day is not having tired and aching feet and legs at the end of my shift and being able to crouch down on my haunches for extended periods without pain.

Yep, definitely loving the thinner me!!
