Same weight as yesterday morning. It's nice to see lower but same seems to indicate stability and it's better than seeing a rise on the scales. All is going well. Christmas is coming up. At one time we had a lot of Christmas functions to attend. Now that we're not working there are fortunately relatively few. Christmas Day is the main (big) one for us.

Well done on your new low and especially on the lower blood pressure. That is so very important. Your husband must be so pleased. My BP was high at my last check-up in February - a combo of white coat and stage 1, according to the doc, so I was not put on any meds. I hope that it is improving. I have a monitor here at home but I have not checked it lately. I will once I get to normal BMI.

I look at very overweight people with a lot of compassion - there go I but for the grace of a plan.

I am thinking about Christmas too. I will be traveling for two weeks, but hope to stay close to plan and at least maintain, if not lose. I will be doing a lot of walking, so I will probably just increase my veg and protein. It is too hard to get back on plan once I go off. It took me 6 or 7 months to get back here this year. What are you planning for Christmas Day?

Same again. I broke the rules a bit yesterday with my Cohen Pizza and used real pizza dough, which tastes much better than Craft Premium for a pizza. I worked out calories in the crispbread and used pizza dough with equivalent calories. Even though calories were the same I was concerned there may have been some negative consequences but fortunately not (and my pizza was much nicer). We're going to have drinks with neighbours tomorrow evening. DH has some chicken nuggets for me to nibble and will take some Coke Zero. He's determined I mustn't have any weight increase hat then has to come off again. He's also determined to have me walk every day.
I also feel sympathy for overweight people. I know how difficult it can be if they don't know about Dr Cohen.

Onwards and downwards.

Up 200 gms this morning. I managed last night fairly well, did nibble on a couple of potato chips and had a couple of rice crackers but avoided all the other tempting foods on the table, and didn't have the crispbreads DH too for me. I drank coke instead of champagne. One of the other guests commented several times how slim I was looking.
Today DH has been cooking and the house smells of freshly baked bread. The loaf looks very tempting, but I'm resisting.

Well done, resisting temptations, AJ. I can just imagine how nice the cocktail spread was and how good the fresh bread smells.

Isn't it nice to have people notice and comment positively on our weight loss?

And congrats on the new low!

Thanks Heidimama. It's also good when people start to comment negatively about our weight loss if we can interpret properly what they are saying. "You're too thin." means we're thinner than them. It's time you stopped means something similar and also that we are near goal.
Tomorrow I am going to see my doctor again. She should be pleased with me. I think that mostly when she tells people they must lose weight she is disappointed. I had hoped for a 10kg loss, but unless I have a record-breaking loss today I won't quite make it. Still, 9.5 kg is pretty good.
It's a lovely, still day here today. DH is wanting to go for a walk, or rather, is wanting me to go for a walk.

I can't wait to read about your doctor's visit. She will be pleased with you and you will probably be coming home with a lower dose of BP meds. DH is your personal trainer in addition to being a good Cohen's cook. How lucky are you to have each other.

Thanks, Heidimama. This morning I had lost exactly nine kilos and my doctor was pleased. I'm easing up on BP medication, depending on how I feel and what my readings are. DH has taken charge of doling out my meds. I'm also on medication for hiatus hernia and she wants me to cut that out if I don't suffer any pain when I do. I'm pleased to take as little meds as possible.

Thanks for the encouragement Louise. I'm still stuck around the same place on the scales. Everything is going well, just wish the number on the scales was going down faster. I didn't walk yesterday and I think the exercise helps my metabolism. I'd better make the effort today.

Onwards and downwards everyone.

Hi AJ

How did you go today? Did you manage your walk? Hopefully the scales are catching up and you are rewarded with a nice loss soon.

No change on the scales this morning, despite a walk yesterday. No walk today unless the weather improves a lot. No boats out fishing today and not many walkers. Yes, still eating mainly stir frys Louise. DH eats Meals on Wheels food, which at least isn't tempting for me, except the desserts. I'm usually feeling hungry so eating nothing but stir frys isn't a problem. I've had a couple of people comment that I've lost weight, which is always encouraging. I still can't see it.

Hi AJ. I also eat mainly stir-fries. And like you, am grateful for them because I am so hungry at meal times. I have found the compliments seem to come just when I need to hear them. . And for every comment, I have realized, there is someone who notices but says nothing. . You are doing so well.

No change today. I haven't walked for several days and even though I don't walk far or fast enough to actually burn calories I think it keeps my metabolism working better and that helps me burn calories. Losses are slower than last time I did Cohen but I was very busy then and moving a lot more. This time I'm mostly sitting or lying. Amazing really how quickly the fat burns away.
