Hi, I'm a new one at this, too. It is good to know that there is support here. I feel a bit nervouse because I have never been a part of an online community before.
Thanks,

I have a quick question.. I started my Cohens on Monday and I know I am not supposed to but I stepped on the scales this morning and after 4 days of struggling to get into this I find I am now 1kg over my start weight.. So after crying for about an hour I have decided to ask for some help here.. Is this the norm? I am doing everything I am supposed to be doing and drinking all my water, why have I now put on a KG? I have not deviated one bit.. Please help

ahhh Hopefull .. relax hon ..... it could be so many things ... firstly there is a reason why the doctor says weigh monthly .... your weight will fluctuate a lot during 4 weeks .... not always in a good way.

Try reading this :

http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthr...ear#post191058

and then take a walk and breathe ... stress will stop losses too... just relax and trust in the program ...w e have all thought it wouldn't work for us .. every one of us .... and I am yet to hear of anyone who was following and it didn't work, have faith ....

Connie

Hi MsInspired,

Yep, you are doing it absolutely right.

Do you wanna know a secret? Sssshhh - just for you... (left click and hold, and drag your cursor over the blank area below ) No-one else now...

Your diary has now been Approved, so be ready when it MOVES to the Personal Diaries forum - very soon now, I'd think

This is a new initiative (as you'd know, being one of the first to use it) but I think it is a good move. This way, people can "get going" with their diaries, and then, once approved, they are simply moved to the Personal Diaries forum. Too easy really, and it allows people to get up to speed quickly.

Since we are also "learning" this new way of doing things, don't worry if things don't happen quickly - for now, just keep updating in that "New Diaries" area.

Hi guys I am new on the forum, I have not ordered Cohens, I am just researching at the moment and seeing what progress people are making with it. I am interested as my cousin has recently lost 26kg in 18 weeks, what a transformation. I am on bodytrim and I am struggling to lose 500g a week, not really enough of an incentive to keep going. If I am putting the effort in I want to receive faster results. I too am reluctant to try another program, and so is my husband, He has been very supportive and just wants to see me succeed, but after all it is $800. Please convince that it really works and I will never have to do another program
Thanks Andy

Hi Andy72,

Wow, that's a hard one (trying to choose one or two posts to help convince you, that is). Best I can think is to take a bit of time and look around. Starting here in the "New Members" area is a good start. We tend to highlight areas that most new people want to know about in this area.

Then again, the Personal Diaries are pretty inspiring too.

Take your time, Andy, look around and see if YOU are happy with what you see. It's hard to pick any one or two threads over others - but (here I go ) THIS one takes a lot of beating:-

Physical Changes apart from weight loss

Dont be in a rush, Andy - there are many signposts in here (MANY of the best are in the "stickies" (these are STUCK right up top, because we feel they are deserving of recognition). And then, there's this one:-

This forum has hidden gems

And, I almost forgot THIS one (which might be closer to "what you want to know")
HOW MUCH WEIGHT DID YOU LOOSE (Approx Total) TO THE 4 WEEK WEIGH POINT?
DO keep in mind though (after reading the "4 week loss" poll) that the FIRST month is usually almost twice as big as each other month following - not always, but mostly.... Still, over time, a few lose 2Kg a week, many lose around 1.5Kg a week, and most hover somewhere between 1 and 1.3Kg a week (in my observation).

Of course, MANY factors affect how YOU will go - check here:-
http://newyouforum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=226028&postcount=3

Let us know how you go, eh?

Koh

Hi everyone,
I am about to start Cohen's tomorrow and figured I could do with the support as I am out in the middle of nowhere by myself (for work) for the next 5 weeks (and I like reading about everyone else's success stories and tips) I have almost 25 kg to lose and scared, excited and curious to see what this next part of my life will be.
Thanks,
HiddenButterfly.

Welcome aboard, HB.... Since it seems you already do have your program, why not go to "Your Cohens Journey" Section, and start up a Diary in New Diaries - do read the rules in the sticky in that section though.

There are several other "starters" in that area, so post them a reply too, or at least read their Diaries - hopefully you'll find a running mate or two (or several).

Good luck for tomorrow - I suppose you know about "the first 3 days" already - I hope you have your Nurofen handy Once through those first few "horror days", you'll step out into the sunshine - so hang tough for those first few days,

Koh

Hey Peta,

Welcome to you I see you've already applied for a Diary - good girl !!
Now, feel free to go to the "Your Cohens Journey" section, look for "New Diaries", and post a new thread to tell us all about you. What you post there will become "your Diary" - so, do name the thread that way...

We've recently introduced this New Diaries area, and it works well - as, you're all in a small pond, can get to know each other, and find "running mates" before we throw you into the Big Pond (the Personal Diaries section).

Do check out the "stickies" in any/every forum section Peta - most of the good stuff is already encapsulated right there. There's lots of good stuff here, Peta - and I'm sure you'll find it all over time...

Any questions at any time, just ask - we don't bite unless you ask us real nice....

Well....I used to be a regular around here...Did quite well but I let my excuses get the better of me and I've gained it all back plus a bit more....

I'm sure you've all heard that story before....

I'm sort of at that point now where shame of having to restart is outweighed by the necessity to do something about my weight. I've tried on and off by myself over the last 18 months but never managed to stay with it..

Cohens has been the only thing that has worked...and the forum for support...

I've already started on my plan and over the next day or so I'll get a ticker together and apply for a diary.

and continue on the journey.

Hi Debs,

If it's the same Debs I'm thinking of, you sort of never left (in a way).

Even if a different Debs, welcome - any/all are welcome when facing the Cohens journey. Settle in, grab a green tea, an hour or two, and have a good look around - we're (still?) a friendly bunch

Hi Debs,

Sorry I didn't get to reply last night - I was heading for bed (late) when I caught your nick - and I just had to leave the message in case it was "you" .... and it IS !! So, welcome back, darl.

You'll see we've changed the rules re Diaries somewhat - scoot down to the "Your Cohens Journey" section, look in "New Diaries", and do read the sticky post (which explains what happens now).

If you wanted your old Diary resurrected, that can be done - but I see you've gone for a "fresh start" and have started a new Diary, so you're on your way. Do be sure to fill in the Request form though

Lovely to hear from you again,

Koh

Hi Everyone
My name is Kate, Im into my 3rd week of the program and have lost 8.2 kilos.
Absolutly wrapped!!

I am stressing a little about the "hair loss" factor as my hair is quite fine normally, but hoping that it won't happen to me!

I have 75kilos to loose so with 8.2 down ive only put a dent in that 75kilos but even still its 8.2 that ill never have to worry about again!!!

Kate
