Talking Daisy Chain's Personal Diary

Day 53 (week 7) - Friday 30th July

Good morning everyone. I'm very happy that today is Friday! Phew!

So next Tuesday is my 2month weigh in and I'm looking forward to it. Although I know that my results will be nowhere near my first month, I know that I've lost more weight (as I cheated last week and weighed myself!) so that's a good sign that everything is still working well!

My cm's are still upsetting me a little bit. Over the last three weeks they haven't really changed. Two weeks ago I went up 3cms, but I had TOM so put it down to that. Then on Tuesday this week I had gone down by 3cms so I'm back to where I started 3 wks ago??!! Ugh... Really not sure what's happening there, but when I look from the start to now I'm still over 50cms down so that's what I'm focusing on.

The program has blended into my everyday life now quite easily. I think a huge part of that is the support of my beautiful family. As most of you already know my sister is a huge support to not only me, but a friend of mine on the program too, and my hubby has really stepped up and is now cooking my meals for me so I don't have to cook every night - that's amazing!!

My mum is my best friend and she is such an amazing woman. She now has me over for dinner every Tuesday night and also makes my lunch for the next day (yay mum!!) and she keeps trying new foods for me. Last week she made me the most delish roast... mmm... it was beautiful! Then on Tuesday this week she made me a casserole with the water in it so it was like a soup. Just divine!
Then last night as a treat she made me Chow Mein, she just changed the recipe to be water instead of chicken noodle soup and swapped around the veggies to what I could have. She suggested serving it on my saladas "as toast" and although I wan't keen I did it and it was soooooo good!! (have that for lunch today too!!)

My mum is my rock thoughout this, everytime I walk up to the front door she says "woo hooo... look at you shrinking lady" or something like that! tee hee... dad said he got a shock when he saw me on Tues as he hadn't seen me in a week and I had changed again apparently.

There is nothing better than receiving compliments, and I have been very fortunate over the last few weeks to be hearing lots of lovely things about how I look. The only difficult part is when everyone wants to lecture me about what I'm doing, and how does it work and what does it mean and then I even had the odd person telling me 'not to overdo it' as I'm already at my right weight now with my loss... little do they know there is still another 20kgs to go!! hehe

Anyways, I know that everyone means well so I take it in that vein and just roll with it. I also know that there are those out there who don't want others to succeed. Well they can just buckle up for the ride ahead because I'm on this train and I'm not getting off!!

So this weekend I'm off to the footy - GO PIES - and then Sunday will be spent trying to get myself organised and packed for our Cruise! We leave on Friday night and I can't wait to relax and enjoy and get some sun!! It's freeeeeezing in Melbourne at the moment!!

I'm sure that I'll log on next week at some stage, but if not I'll speak to you all again in two weeks!!

DC

Oh what a lovely family you have! My Mum and Dad are the same. Mum doesn't cook for me but they are both very proud and supportive of me. It is a nice feeling.

You sound to be quit content with everything at the moment. I know the feeling of it just fitting into your life like you have been this way forever. Good on you.

Keep up the great work beautiful ladie!

Hiya DC! Girl, your diary is sooo long! Can't read it all to catch up but you are doing amazingly! Don't stress about the cm loss as you'll find there are fluctuations between cms vs weight on the scales. It's called intergration!

While I was offline, McPsych tried to send me photos of the amazing cupcakes but I couldn't get the link (stoopid computer). So, naturally, as soon as computer was fixed the first thing I did was head to see the cupcakes (call it the chef thing). Just stunning sweetheart. You can come work with me anytime! Although Canb is probably colder than Melb... Sad but true. Amazing effort - for someone untrained you have an amazing creative eye! Who were they for BTW? Thought the Bratz patty pans were hilarious!

Looking forward to seeing your eight week weigh in on Tues - should be close to the 20kg mark???

Hey WSM
Thanks for your note - and your compliments on my cupcakes! I really enjoy making them. Love cooking, and if I ever relocate and change careers I'll take up your offer!! hehe

They were for my niece, her 5th birthday party. She said she wanted 'pink & purple butterfly cupcakes' so I had to think of something special to do.
I've attached a few pics of some others that I've done as well. I have done heaps and heaps, but these are a few of my personal favs.

I'm not even close to 20kgs yet. I'd say that I'll prob loose another 4 or 5, which would make it about 12ish? Will see on Tuesday, thanks for your advice on the cm issue too.

Hi Mum of Daisychain and Aimz,

OMG, you certainly know how to SMS - lot of practice eh?

Even though I found it hard to read (I'm not that young) there was no mistaking the emotion you are feeling seeing your girls succeeding - just lap it all up, proud Mum.

Seems to me like you have done a damn good job along the way to turn out these two as proud, focussed, determined young ladies.

Hats off to you Mum

Hi Mum of DC & A

Had to laugh at your text - although as not as old as Koh - I too found it hard to read! My step-daughter texts as well as you do... usually takes interpretation and a long time to respond...

Anyway, it's obvious why the girls support each other so much - good role model! Loving you cooking Cohens too!!! Well done Mum.

Day 56 (week 7) - Monday 2nd August

Hello muffins!!

How are we all doing today? Really good I hope!

Thanks for all your gorgeous messages, and how beautiful is my mum!! Owwishh!! Love her so much. She has requested her own login so she doens't confuse with Aimz's one, so we may see her pop back in again as Mum of DC & Aimz... stay tuned! tee hee
It is very funny to see the way that she types, it's like an sms - and to think this is the same woman that used to be afraid of the computer and texting!! How far we have come hey..??

I'm really feeling wonderful today. Had such a momentus day yesterday that I have to share with you all. I decided to pack for my cruise, as I won't have any time this week and we leave on Friday night, and as part of the cruise we have to take two to three cocktail outfits. Well.... I decided that I would try on a few of my 'pretty' dresses and see if they fit me a bit better now to take away with me. Well did I get a surprise!! Not only did they fit better most were actually too big! YESSSSSS!! Hi Five!!

I also had some brand new ones with tags still on them which I now fit into really nicely so I have some beautiful 'new' things to wear on my holiday! Also had to buy some new bathers and cargo pants to take away (size 14 - yesssss!!!) as my others were to big.

It's hard to describe the overwhelming feeling when you look in the mirror and you're actually proud of the reflection that stares back at you. I have spent way to many years looking for things that were loose, or you could put a scarf with, or that didn't gape where the buttons were etc etc and now I look in the mirror, and although I still have a ways to go, I am actually pleased with the reflection that I see. Amazing feeling.

So anyway, my adventures in the wardrobe ended up being a full on clean out! (picture clothes flying left right and centre over my head as they were tried on and deemed 'to big') In that I also found a lot of other clothes (most new with tags - woops!) that fitted really well. So it's like I have a new wardrobe but I didn't buy anything!

I've also had some beautiful compliments this morning from some people at work that haven't seen me in a while. I got told today that "I have no neck anymore". lol. I knew what they meant but it sounded funny to hear!

So I hope that you are all staying strong and focused, and remember that this is a journey for not only our bodies, but our souls too. We are strong, and powerful and can achieve anything that we set our hearts too.

Love to all, talk to you soon!

Talking Daisy Chain's Personal Diary

Day 57 (week - Tuesday 3rd August

Well goodmorning everyone!! It is a VERY exciting day in my world today!!

My sister is trying to give birth as we speak with my first niece! I'm SO excited I feel like I'm going to bust! Not happy that I'm stuck at work, wish I was able to be at the hospital, but I guess it's one of those things - being in a high profile position it's harder to sneak away during the day isn't it?!

Also some more exciting news, I weighed in this morning for my 8wks and I'm another 5.7kg down in month to. That makes it a total loss of 14.5kg in two months... wow...

Off to update my ticker! Yessss!!

Will be back soon with some excited aunty baby news!!

Love to all

Daisychain
