Today -- no idea - they've packed the scales. Yesterday was 65.2.

Well, gentlefolks, my life in currently in boxes en route to Perth. We're leaving Singapore on Monday to go to the UK then Perth.

I'll be MIA for a few weeks but will do my best to hold it together.

FYM.

Last week's weight 73.6
this weeks weight 73.6

Cohens goal 71
Currently 11 weeks pregnant

Not to bad! Recomended weight gain in first 3 months is 0.5 to 2kg so I'm more or less on track. Have been making healthier food choices this week and it seems to have paid off.

Hi EdQ
I notice in your stats that you started refeed at 89.9 and finished at 94.7? When you went 2kg up on your start weight did you go back 2 days in your refeed plan?

Snap LB - I noticed EdQ's increase in refeed and was curious...something in there spiked!

For those who, like me, could probably put "Allergic to starchy carbs" on a Medic Alert bracelet, in the hunt for some dinner party recipes tonight I found this link;

http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/collections/low+carb

Now, some of them have potato in the title so use discretion, but I figured it is a good start...

I think it is time for me to drag out my 500 law carb receipes Womens Weekly cookbook. Time to face facts - Onion is not my only allergy *sobbing into the mashed taters*

Hello all Maintainers and Welcome this week to Ed. We all wish you a successful and happy graduation into maintenance land.

FYM - have taken yesterdays weight as a guide. Safe travels and we'll look forward to you coming back in a few weeks,

Jlou made me smile your comment re: "allergic to starchy carbs" humph - do I relate to that. Have almost come to the conclusion that carbs must all most be non existent in my diet. Special occasion food only ! ! ! much to my disappointment.

Mumandnana - impressive little doll. Howd ya do that? Down to 48 Wow you would have to receive the GOLD star award.

NGU - you are worried cause of your current weight? I think you have set yourself a very tough boundary line. You may want to consider reevaluating. Your personal danger zone is very low. Your choice of course.

Have a great week everyone. Try and make it back into the black so you have a little lee way for Christmas. Cheers Narelle

A medic alert bracelet. What a GREAT idea. I seriously think it would be a great and constant reminder (not a real medic alert bracelet as it may create a real dilema in a a medical emergency, but one with an engraved disc that does say that!!)
Wonder if it would look good on a pandora bracelet
I'm going to investigate

you see- i have always though my medicalert bracelet should be like Garfield "when the carb level in my blood gets low, I get mean"
or
how about- in case of emergency administer I/V bourbon
or
"allergic to work"

Cohens Range 55-58kg
Maintenance Start Weight 60.3kg
Personal Alert 62kg
11/11 59.9kg

18/11 60.8kg
25/11 60.1kg
02/12 60.7kg
09/12 59.9kg
16/12 61.3kg

Hhhmmmm, bit of a hike there. I did over indulge on slice on the weekend but am sure it has more to do with all the codeine based pain killers I have to take for my shoulder at the moment. All meals are cohens and weighed so definitely not in panic mode yet.

Maintenance start weight 64.3kg
Personal alert number 67kg
Last week 67.3kg
Today 66.3kg

Happier this week! especially after carb blow out dinner party at friends on weekend.
And yesterday was my 5 month anniversary of maintaining

Thinking more about the medic alert bracelet and knowing some of us struggle to avoid carbs in social situations where our control over what is put on our plate is limited, I was thinking in future if they have a special dietary needs option I will simply put on there - low carbohydrate - which will mean I don't get pasta, rice etc.
If there is no option like that and I am concerned at offending the host (eg if I don't know them well), I am contemplating adding to my list of allergies (onion is already on there) and stretching the truth to say that I have recently found out that I am gluten intolerant but I don't really like all those gluten free products so prefer just to have meat and salad or vegetables if that is ok with them? I doubt most people would go to the trouble of doing special gluten free stuff but if they do, having a small amount to appear grateful would have to be better than having a full whack of the gluten loaded stufff...

need to think on this on e a bit more....ideas???

Cohens Goal Range: 59 - 62 kg
My personal alert maximum: 65 kg

25.11.10 - 62.9
02.12.10 - 62.9
09.12.10 - 63
16.12.10 - 63.4

Late post - lost the internet for hours this arvo due to storms.

Love your idea Jlou. Thinking of taking that on board myself. Tis all very well when you control the food but what about when the control is out of your hands. This then becomes the issue.

Be back late tomorrow with the chart.

Narelle I find that is the hardest hurdle. It was easier on plan because you say you are on a special diet and you actually look like you need to lose weight. Now that we are in maintenance and look slim and healthy it is less obvious. Friends think that we need to chill and that 'just a bit won't hurt' and functions are less accommodating.
What I find the hardest is when I am in the middle of a carb reset and it happens.
I am just going to stick by no starchy carbs in the meals I prepare/can control so that if I can't avoid them the damage is mitigated somewhat!

I'm serious about the "medic alert" thingie. Or a least something engraved with allergic to processed carbs and sugar". I told a dinner host something like what you mentioned jlou and was then presented with the choice of creamy seafood pasta or the dreaded rissotto with truffle (big deal I thought through clenched teeth). Should have gone one step further and taken my own. Even the salad was floating in creamyish dressing.

Grr... just wrote a reply and got booted off as guest despite being logged in.

Thursdays weight: 89.2
Heaviest this week 95.1 (must be TOM )
Goal 87 - 90

Can anyone speculate why when i was at this weight (starting refeed) i was sooooo exhausted, and now after gaining some back and loosing it, i have so much more energy? Not complaining, just curious.

Happy camping loosers, Ed
