Well done S2BS - you had a lovely drop and have entered into a healthy BMI range as well. I cannot wait to read your refeed diary!

Your pictures are amazing too - amazing transformation, and I totally agree that you should have another photoshoot done! I also want to have one done - with a little hair and makeup makeover - as a wedding anniversary gift to my hubby (and me)! I've seen the pics in Mich's diary and since then I really believe that we girls owe it to ourselves to have something like that!

Thank you so much everyone for visiting my diary and for all your lovely comments And yes!! I am in the healthy BMI range now N2M - good spotting!! Thanks

I have a blood test planned for next Monday, weigh in day but not sure if I should order refeed as soon as possible and start when my body feels ready or wait until I start having refeed symptoms before ordering it. Any suggestions would be helpful

I would say - if you're not deviating (which you're not) it is safe to order your refeed using those bloods, and then just wait out the symptoms. It is good to be prepared - even if you're not having the symptoms now, there may be a day that you feel you HAVE to start immediately and then you will be grateful to be ready and prepared.

Most definitely order it when you're at the goal range, because when refeed hits it can hit hard and fast and you need to just start!

Thanks N2M and Ciors - I will do as you say Order refeed as soon as I can and start when I'm ready. I appreciate your input and am so grateful for everyone who has gone before me ... last time I got to 65kg but never got refeed so I'm looking forward to finishing properly this time around.

Thanks for your visit and kind comments Ladel. It's very confronting to look at the fat photos but so encouraging to see how far we've come. I hope you're taking progress pics for yourself too

Louise

Great job!!! Refeed is really important from what I've seen here and from family members who have gone before me. My husband completed it and is maintaining very nicely and easy. I'd still like to lose a little more, but I think I will settle here for now.

I'm not quite at 66 yet (the weight that I can order refeed) and struggling to hang in there, been hungry every day this week and constantly thinking about food!

I have a blood test due on Monday and it's also weigh day so we'll see what happens then but I think I'm just about ready for refeed

In the meantime ... I was having a lazy lie in this morning and really just enjoying the feeling of being skinny but I was surprised at how much my hip bones seem to stick out. I have also been enjoying seeing my skinny legs and thighs!! The biggest boost came when I tried on an old dress that I loved wearing about 15 or 16 years ago. It's been hanging in my cupboard for all this time because it didn't fit and I was reluctant to get rid of it because it's lovely and comfortable and I was hoping to be able to wear it again .... one day .... WELL, today is the day!!! It fits!!! So stoked

I also bumped into a colleague at work whom I haven't seen for a few months and he was gobsmacked! I wasn't in work uniform but he was asking if it was really me and said he hardly recognised me and kept commenting on how good I looked! Nothing quite like a genuine compliment to make my day

Of course I have to kick myself for wasting so many years on being fat but I'm not fat any more!!

Louise

Yes, we may have "wasted" some/many years by being bigger than we wanted to be but it is now our choice, controlled by our actions whether we waste anymore.

Enjoy your new body and your new found confidence and appreciate how good life is - well done

Awesome Louise! It is nice when someone almost doesn't recognise us! Generally quite amusing. Love your dress story, as N2M said in her diary - retail shopping in our one day cupboard!

Fingers crossed that the lovely 66 appears so you can order refeed. It would be excellent timing with your bloods too!

I try not to think of those years as wasted, rather that I didn't have the knowledge to make that change happen. I tried many things that didn't work, but now I have the right information xxx

You're soooooooo close S2BS!!! I also have clothes in my cupboard that I wore 10 years ago that I'm looking forward to getting back into. These are my indications of how I'm going, even more so than the scales and the tape measure...

I hope refeed comes quickly and that you don't have to suffer the hunger pains for too much longer.

Thanks for all the visits and lovely comments everyone. I did get hubby to take a picture of the dress and I will reluctantly post it. It's an awful photo and doesn't nearly do the dress or my slim figure justice and of course ... the face!! Lol, don't know what I was thinking but it doesn't reflect the joy I feel inside ... anyway, for what it's worth, there it is

Also ... weighed myself this morning (official weigh in tomorrow) and I had only lost 600g for the week so far so 66.3 ... then I went to the loo and one good BM later I weighed myself again and 66 on the dot!! TMI, I know, but I think we've all been there, done that Whatever gets us there in the end, yeah??

Thanks Ciors

Logged back into the forum because I realised I hadn't commented on your message about not seeing those fat years as wasted but rather as not having had the right information. I LOVE that perspective and it's so true - if we knew then what we know now, things would have been so different. Thanks for that

I love the dress...your smiling in side on photo...that is a start Well done louse, Congrats...re feed is on it way

At the end of the day , loosing weight takes time patience and consistency. No other ' diet ' I have ever tried to do came with such strict guide lines. Also you really have to want to do it from the start. Life gets in the way, we get comfortable in our selves and our size. We refuse to see ourselves, then something twigs. We start to crave for change. A long term plan and change in the way we live our lives, and Cohen's gives us exactly the eating plan we need to get back to goal, re feed ( no other diet I have ever heard of does this ) and maintenance.

Your plan really should work for you for years to come.... My original plan worked and had me dropping the weight as fast as the new one, but I never made it to re feed the first time, and decided if I was going to do it, it was all or nothing.

Take care lovely and please don't disappear when you get to maintenance....That can end up being a trap for gaining some of it back that you have fought so hard to the end to loose.
