Good Morning,

I just voted again! Hope it still goes through - better to try than to not I suppose.

And I am only repeating the sentiments of everyone else here Asy, but you are an absolute winner. All the very best.

Can't wait to hear the news!

Have a wonderful day,
Twiggy.

I was also able to vote again today so they must be still taking the votes Asy.
Did you talk to everyone at the piggy roast?
I was going to stop in Harrison on my way back home and plug into J's electricity so I could run the air but then I went to the other side of the state with the nephew to get the tools Mr. Pudge wanted one day. So then didn't have to drive part way home and stop. We left the next day and drove all the way. Pulling the trailer made for a long day. It took 12 hours instead of 9 or 10.
well I better get to feeding or horses will think they got there throats cut.

Hey Pudge!

I did ring in to the piggy roast, TWICE!

I had such a good time when I rang in the morning that I rang back in the evening!!! Spoke to lots of people, I got passed around for about two and a half hours in total!!!

Even got to speak to some Yoopers! Chet's funny...

No idea what's going on with the fonts, sorry.

Me too, me too, I AM VOTING FOR YOU!
Congrats on your wonderful successful journey! I know it will never be over and we will never stop the fight against fast food/fast life but we are in here together and therefore we are much stronger.

I am a newbie, started the program a few days ago...and stories like you "YOU" keeps me going.

Go ASY Go ASY!

Thanks heaps SL!

I'm really pleased you are taking inspiration from those who have completed the programme!

You are right about the continual fight against food. It's not so much fast food that's my killer, I don't like it much, it's toast that does me in.

I have to give myself a weekly toast allowance and limit it to that. It's like a drug. I know I should probably give it up altogether, and I know I could if I had to, but while I'm maintaining my weight I'll stick to my allowance and see how it goes...

asy

PS: The late nights don't help, either...

Just had to tease ya about the font size. :-o No big deal.
I wish we could have been to the piggy roast. We are going down to a tractor show in Troll land in a few days. So will probably see J.
I have wedding pic.s but they are saved to big to post on here. So unless I can send them to your regular email and you can downsize them I guess I can't post them.

Hi Asy,

Just received notification from my clinic that Christie won the comp. I hope you are not too unhappy. You did an amazing job and if it wasn't for you we would not have this fantastic tool to keep us all on track. Hope you're well and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Nah, I'm not upset at all!

Good on Christie!

I'm really pleased for her, and the other finalists!!!

Don't forget, for me, I won. I won the rest of my life. That's just too cool!

Also, I've won new friends and new things to do, one of which is keeping the forum running. I may not be posting on a daily basis, I prefer to let it evolve by itself without a 'big brother' posting, but I'm around.

Thanks to EVERYONE for their support and good wishes, much appreciated.

Yep asy you got the big picture. You really did win no matter it wasn't in the mag. How cool is it when people don't reconize you, you can do things with your kids and enjoy it rather than say I can't do that or be so tired after/during you think you will die. Now you can do so much and more it is unreal.

I am very proud of you and look at you when I am down and go if she could do it then so can I.
Have a good day and hope things are looking better with the ex thing going on.

Thanks Pudge!

Things are looking better, because I won't let them look otherwise.

Every day is a day closer to being on the farm, one way or another.

Still no verdict. Court case finished early May, and STILL no bloody verdict. Damn that judge, I wish he'd make his mind up one way or the other and let us know.

Congratulations Asy, YOU will always be the BIGGEST WINNER for me, regardless of the mags choice! Why? Cos it was YOUR story that inspired my jaded, lost all hope, tried everything (truly) pissed off, self loathing SELF, to pick up the phone and take the steps that now see me 10kg lighter in only 10 weeks with only 3-6kg to go! How many other lives have you touched out there Asy with your story and with your inspirational, magical, FORUM that many of us know has been the major lifeline we needed to get us thru the days. And your influence is ongoing, maybe you should write a book, lots of others do! thank you AGAIN, a light in the darkness that was like a prison for me until i woke up from my dreary flabby days! Yoohoo! Here comes summer! Pandora

HI Asy

I think you've knocked the nail on the head... You won your life....

You won every day to be able to move freer and live many years longer...An amazing gift that you gave your husband and children too.....

I bet 3 years ago you wouldn't have even thought you'd be a finalist in a slimming competition, much less come second!!!

Your graciousness to Moni winning is an amazing testament to the great and generous heart you have..

You are an inspiration to so many...so many you know.... so many you don't know...so many you'll never know...

I too understand the frustrations and stress that is caused by blended families and ex's...so my heart goes out to you o that side of things...

Thanks for everything Asy

Thanks heaps guys!

By the way, I didn't come second. There was one winner (Christie) and three runners up. I wasn't in the final four.

Still, I have enjoyed my "Cohens ride" and the best thing I get out of it now is being able to help others achieve their dreams. Especially through things like this site. I don't 'need' it, I maintain it because I really enjoy helping others and giving all of you a place to come and make friends and achieve YOUR goals. That, to me, is winning.

To that end, I've also been helping out at the Cohens Clinic in Brisbane! I'm REALLY enjoying meeting new people coming into the Cohens process and telling them my story in the hope that it might help some of them out. I had one person ring today and say to me "You don't understand, I weigh 167kg, NO-ONE understands what that's like", and I Was able to say... Well, not many do, but I DO. It was GREAT. I really felt as if I was DOING something positive. I sure hope I helped that person out, and to feel like there WAS a light at the end of the tunnel, and it's NOT a train...

Anyway, hearing your stories, reading your diaries, having people say "your story inspired me" is, to me, the best 'WIN' of all.

Thank you all,

asy

I'm so glad you have put a face to your story.

Sometimes people only believe what they see and I'm one of them. Meeting you in Brisbane in June was such an educational and inspiratoinal day, you cemented in my mind what I wanted and needed to achieve and that this program was going to do it.

I have not only had the support from you but from all the others here on this legacy of yours.

Thanks once again.

ASY
I just love your pup - I have an old dog who is very loyal to me and have only ever had blue or red dogs all my life - its a bush boy thing I suppose - but your dog is great and I just couldn't let it pass with out saying something - and just in case no one else noticed this should get your diary up the list as well !!!!

Thanks Andy!

That's Oliver: AKA: Oli-dog.

He's named after Oliver Wood, the Gryffindor Quidditch captain in the first books. Can't half tell we're Harry Potter nuts, canya? hehe

Oli's about 8 months old now, and a Blue Heeler Cross. We think maybe with Whippet or something skinny. He's got the colouring of a bluey, but definitely not the body type. FAR too skinny!

He's just the best dog ever. Quiet and well behaved. Best thing is he and my daughter are inseparable. They've formed the most amazing bond it's astonishing.

He's funny, if she leaves the room he'll sit bolt upright and listen, if she's gone to the loo he'll lay back down and you can see his ear up - he's making sure she's coming back. If she's not gone to the loo he'll leave and follow her. Won't be away from her for a minute if he can help it.

Hi Asy,

Oliver is absolutley gorgeous and lol can you tell me your secret for bring up such a well behaved dog?

On another note, I was reading the last few posts in your diary about you inspiring people. Yep, fully agree here!! I was still umming and ahhing about Cohens when I spoke to you on the phone that night months ago but after I put down the phone I was convinced and went ahead and did it.

I've got you to thank for that and I sincerely DO thank you. Not just for that but for being a constant inspiration as well as your support, advice and encouragement and sometimes your kicks in the butt (but only when needed)! Also gotta thank you for this forum - its awesome!

Thanks again Asy and I hope everything goes really well for you - you truly deserve it esp with the court case etc - hope everything gets resolved soon if you havent heard already.

Nat

Lovely dog, Asy. Unfortunately for me, hubby's not a dog fan or I'd have a kelpie cross in a heart beat! Love the mix of kelpie and bull terrier.
