Hi All,
Thank you everyone for your comments and well wishes - I still get a buzz out of getting so many replies. It is nice to know that people are reading my diary - and hopefully I can help them in some small way as they have helped me. Thanks to Mette, Flamie, Sam, Shanara, Paula, Shazza, and Jeannie for visiting.

My week end was great - If having less stress helps with this weight loss than that is my secret weapon. While I am down there the worst stress is that I can't drink alcohol and eat the same as everyone else. But I can still eat crab and I did....

You know as much as I want to hurry up and finish this I know that the longer it takes the more I am learning. It is just amazing when I have to say no to the offers of food how it makes me realise how much I used to eat before eg the no's I had to say to Chocolate Mud cake, lollies, chips, bacon & eggs (on mothers day too), Alcohol, etc etc etc In the last month I have celebrated a birthday, wedding anniversary and of course Easter and Mothers Day and my kids normally buy me chocolates or my fav drink Kahlua, so they have resorted to vouchers at Target so now I can spend it on clothes and more clothes. I even got my $900 from the government so I am looking forward to a few more kilos to drop off and then hit the shops for some more size 14's or maybe I will even try on those size 12's. It has been a long time since I wore a size 12....

Thanks again and cheers
Rosemary

Hello rosemary, your determination is wonderful and you know that that's the only way to go to lose weight. Yes, you are absolutely right about saying no and how much junk food we used to put into our body. I also just realised that I've also resorted to saying no quite a bit especially from people who think that I've already lost enough and so a bit of deviation is ok. NO NO NO, IT IS NOT OK! I KNOW THAT AND I DON'T WANT TO GO THAT WAY.

You and I are really at about the same weight loss point. I'm 68.9 today while you are at the other end of 68 . So cool if we can get to refeed together.

Oh yes lady, you should go ahead and try out the size 12. I'm pretty sure you can fit them cos I can. We have about the same goal weight remember? Size 14 pants are a definite but size 12 skirts fit better than size 14 so be daring lady!

Hi Rosemary,
Thanks for the post in my diary. Have finally dropped a couple of kilo so only 4-6 to go. Starting to get excited about that. I will look forward to continuing to see your progress. My family also had bacon and eggs on mothers day. A bit of a test, but there will be plenty more to come and i have a hunch that when i am able to have it, it won't taste quite as good as i remembered it!! Have got so used to no fat that i reckon it will be a bit yuk having a dose.
PS Enjoy the size 12!!

Hi all,

Not a huge loss this week, only 500 grams. But I wasn't expecting a big drop. I had a few hitches this week. Firstly I forgot my kitchen scales when we went to the beach hut so I had three days without weights and then I have been out for two lunches this week. Also one day I was abit sloppy with crispbread timing and accidently had an extra fruit forgetting that I had one with yoghurt in the morning. I have to be more aware of these things as I get closer to that goal.

I reckon that I am now lighter than I have been for close on 25 years (before babies) so these last few kilos are going to stick to me. (Some of you girls aren't even 25 years old TOTAL) It must be harder for us older chicks........

Never mind I will power on with the knowledge that I will get there.

Flamie - I haven't tried those size 12's yet, maybe next week. I am trying to stay away from the shops.

Jeannie - So great to see you have lost those few kilos and you are moving closer to that goal weight. I will follow with interest.

Cheers
Rosemary

Hey rosemary, 500g is a good loss nonetheless despite not weighing food for 3 days! Also the distance between our weights are drawing further apart. You are certainly powering on very quickly to the finishing line. I'm even way way slower than you. Well, in whatever case, can't rush things...too busy this week with marking for the body to relax and lose weight.

Good for you to have entered 67kg and already halfway into it...so nice!

Hi all,

I am up another 200 grams today so I don't know what is going on. I wasn't going to bother making this diary entry but then I thought how other ladies who read the diaries and are having small gains feel and just to let you know that it happens to all of us (Flaime - I was thinking of you.) Sam, Flamie and myself seem to be going through a similar pattern at the moment and we all started around the same time with similar amounts to go to goal. So I know the mind plays tricks and we are all tempted to deviate but we won't. Lets do this all together and stick it out and hopefully we will all be in refeed together, well at least we should make maintenance around the same time.

Good luck girls.
Rosemary

OMG rosemary! You are so right! My weight loss is crawling downwards currently. It has been like 200g per day. So strange. Guess it is the week before TOM so I'm not hopeful of any fantastic losses for about 1.5 weeks till TOM is well over. Starting to bloat and the feeling of FAT is coming all over me. I'm also very tired this week...typical of PMS....oh how I HATE this cos I need to stay awake to complete my marking as much as possible. Gather that I prolly won't be able to sleep much tonight and tomorrow night...*sniff* there goes my 200g drop even.

Rosemary, hang in there, you'll have a big drop this week I'm sure. I am a bit annoyed with my scales, 1kg this week and NO CM's!!!! I haven't even bothered updating my diary, coz I'm so annoyed! Kicked the scales to the curb, not even quite sure where they are, maybe in a box...

I'm over it, but really want to get it done We can do it!

Hi all,
Had a lovely week end with my sister and her two little ones - we went to The Wiggles in Townsville and then off to Sizzlers for lunch. My fav there at the moment is the 125 petite eye fillet and I just don't eat the lot and then only take the salad items I am allowed and not even sneak a look at all the lovely salads and other stuff on offer. mmmm I can wait. Had large family (24 of us) over last night for pizza night, so we had a salad and I had cooked some of the spicy chicken patties for me (Had them frozen, so it was easy as) and to be honest the pizza was not as tempting as Sizzlers. Highlight of the week end was finding out that I am very close to my younest brothers weight- 2 kg different !! He must have heavy bones cos he is skinny skinny as, but he is tall. I really do find that hard to believe.....

Had a funny week as I have said earlier, today is the first day I have had a loss, other days I either remained the same or gained 100 grams or so, and now I am probably heading for TOM so I will see and the best I can do is look forward to the big drop after TOM.

Sam - You are so close to refeed.... When did you sneak away from me ????? You should update your diary - 1kg is 1kg closer to that goal.

Flamie - Hope your week has been better - I am heading over to your diary now.

Thanks
Rosemary

Going great guns, Rosemary! You're really doing well on the program and handling all the challenges! You'll be at goal in no time, and then you'll be able to have those other salad items too!
Stay strong and keep smiling!

Default week 17 Finished

Hi all,
Just a quick note to record my weekly weight loss. It started off fairly slow but ended with 900 grams lost this week. Would have liked to see more but I am satisfied with that and I am probably coming into TOM again already !!!

Wow 66.7 Kgs - hard to believe that it is me weighing this amount!!!!

Cheers Rosemary

Heya rosemary, thanks for the constant support. My crazy 2 weeks of intense marking is finally over and I can get some lull time and rest for a couple of days. I'll just hang in there for another week before the school breaks for 1 month holidays! Woohoo, I can't wait till then to have a decent and wonderful 1 month of weight loss.

You are doing very very well gal. I like your positive attitude and I often pop by to read your diary to get myself firm and fix on the track. As we are on the same path, I'm so happy that I can find strength in both you and Sam. Hope to get into refeed soon together. I'm also looking towards my next goal of 64.9kg heheheehe.

Thanks Koh and Flamie for your kind words.

I had another few days down the beach and it was great - again resisting all the goodies - chocolate mud cake, alcohol, cashews, pork chops, oh and did I say alcohol............... My favourite thing down the beach was to have Kahlua in my diet coke.... I can wait..

Koh - funny you should ask how my credit card is going... My two pairs of denim jeans are just literally falling off me, so this week I am going shopping. I got the $900 stimulus package money from the govt and I said I was going to spend it on clothes so I will keep you all informed.

I am having HEAPS of people stop me in the street (small towns) and ask how I have lost this weight. One funny situation was last week end when I was with my sister and we were walking up town and I was holding the hand of my little nephew and I walked past a lady that I have known for about 20 years and she was sort of vague as I said hello and then that night she saw my son at the deb ball they were at and she asked him to apologise to me as she didn't realise until I walked past her that it was me. She would not have expected me to be holding hands with a little one and she has not seen me since I started Cohens. So many ladies who have a weight problem have asked me about Cohens and I am only too keen to explain about it because it just feels so great for me and I would love these ladies to join Cohens. If I find a few ladies have joined I would love to have a regular get together with them.

Anyhow, time to go and I will look forward to my weekly weigh in on Thursday.

Cheers, Rosemary

Hey Rosemary,
Sounds like you have things under control. The beach sounds wonderful and yes I used to enjoy a drink at times and now I think of enjoying one when I have finished the program and will enjoy it so much more.

The beaches on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts aren't doing so well at the moment so enjoy yours to the fullest.

Wow you have lost over 24kgs now no wonder people don't recognise you.

Keep up the great work.

Michele

Thanks Jenny - I am struggling some times when the weight is just not moving but then I run into someone and I love the comments. I use to think that I needed to shop (clothes of course not groceries...LOL) to lift my spirits (or even eat before Cohens) - now I just walk up town and usually get at least one comment that lifts me mentally. I told Bob that every second Tuesday when he goes back to work I should just go shopping to make me feel better - you should have seen his face , with the question "why would you do that??" MEN !! So I didn't go yesterday but I can hear the shops calling me this afternoon - after all TARGET have a great sale on and I got a few gift vouchers for my birthday - so thats about all the encouragment I need.

Michele - Thanks for your comments and taking the time to read my diary - I also find that encouraging.

WEigh in tomorrow and I am not expecting much.

Til then,
Rosemary
