Default Happy Anniversary!

my 4 month anniversary today so an extra weigh in and a change on the ticker.

I've been having real problems with my wireless network at home so I'm doing a quick post from work.

I wrote 2 long posts at home and lost them both, so just a quick thanks to everyone who's dropped by. I'm seeing the kinesiologist tomorrow but I'm feeling a lot better emotionally anyway. Anxiety, that's the thing, runs in the family and was the reason I used to eat. I'm glad I'm getting some professional help.

I'll be back when the wireless connection at home is fixed, should be soon because the Hubby can't live without the internet...and neither can I!

x

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Default This too will pass...

That is the affirmation that helps me the most when my anxieties around food kick in. If you stop and ask yourself a couple of questions about what your feeling...whatever the catalyst is...you will descover that whatever is causeing the anxiety...unless it is a life threatening event...is not an emergency. Say to yourself...this too will pass...and it will. You'll see. Well that's what I have been doing anyway and it has helped me. I should try not to be so presumptuous. You are doing so very well my love. Big huggles and kisses and stuff...

Good to see you doing well, Loulou. Shame you haven't time to stick around for a bit, my ISP decided to muck me around a bit this last week, and it really is amazing, how much energy we share with the net - and haow much we miss it in our days - but it will always be there!!

You are so close to your goal, very exciting. Let me know about your kiniesiolg6y, my sister in law was studying to become a practitioner, at one stage, from what I can remember, it is the flow of energy through, and in the body, yes? Using pressure and movement to release blockages?

Gotta go, Miss Pi, is crying about something in the vegie patch!!!!!

AAArgh!

I just lost another long post in which I talked about belts, kinesiology, NLP, and answered all your questions and pontificated on the meaning of life. I can hardly bloody wait until my internet problem is fixed, it's driving me nuts!

Thanks everyone for dropping by. As I explained to you all individually and at great length in my last lost post, I intend to stick around here for a long time, I still have weight to lose, refeed and the ultimate goal...maintenance. I am tempted some time to move my ticker to the top of goal range which is 62 kg, then I'd magically have 2 kg less to lose, but so far so good, I'll just keep plodding along.

More later when my $%#@&* internet isn't stuffing me around.

x

Loulou

I'm glad you're sticking around, Loulou! You're one of the people who's really inspired me, and I don't want you to leave! I want you to finish, but not leave. Ok, I have abandonment issues...

Hope your internet gets fixed soon!
Have a great weekend!

Hi LouLou

I have only recently started reading your diary (there is just so many on here now!) and wanted to say what a fab job you have been doing! Your committment is great, and I love that you are not only talking about finishing but about maintenance too - from what I can gather is the hardest thing of all.

I haven't visited in a while, LouLou. I hope all is well with you at the moment. My ticker goal was suggested by my clinic and it's actually three kilos above the top of my range, so I might be around here plodding along with you for a while yet. However, we are both very near the end of the journey compared with where we started.

Hey Loulou

How are you going ??? I forgot to mention the other day .. my ticker is at the top of my range ... dont know what everyone else does .. but my range was 56 - 59 .. and quite frankly .. I am happy with 59 .. truth be known .. I am quite happy with 61 haha .... anyways .. not sure what the 'protocol' is with the ticker weights .. but mine is at the top ! I am healthy BMI, and feeling great so I have no personal problem with it !!

Hope all is well !!!!

Default Week 19 Stats

Howdy

Makes me laugh to think I was just going to write "another slow week" when I've lost 800g and 1.5 cm this week. On any other diet this would be a GREAT week!

I have been getting a bit hungrier and have started drinking diet drinks which I don't normally touch...all those chemicals don't you know! Well I don't care at the moment, I need something to get me through the restlessness as much as anything else and a diet Coke or Sprite is a different taste sensation for me.

My internet is fixed and so is the power board to the house...it blew up the other day which meant....no internet!

Thanks Lilamay for that tip on saving posts, I must remember to do that.

Mette- you are doing so well, I'm sure you're an inspiration to others too, go the Dancing Mangoes!

Stoddy- I'm with you...61kg sounds great!

AJ- your patience amazes me, you've been doing this a lot longer than me.

Kate- won't be long now and we'll both be on maintenance. Hooray!

I've had another session with the kinesiologist. The first one he used mainly NLP techniques and the second one mainly kinesiology. We worked with the 8 year old part of me during the first session, the age I was when I started overeating. As I've mentioned I've had a LOT of counselling in the past about my issues and why i overeat, what I liked about the way this man works is he gave that part of me something else to do. he said it's an energy in my body and that energy needs a job to do. More than just the endless rehashing of my dysfunctional childhood...which to be honest I've really done enough of. So the 8 year old part of me has a new job and this week my anxiety has a new job to do..which is to have fun! I have certain techniques to use to help them stay o course with their new jobs. Being such a practical woman I really like this style of internal work. We'll see how I go.

I've given away more clothes ad there aren't many of my old slim clothes left that don't fit anymore. As soon as I hit goal I'm going shopping!

x

That kinesiology stuff sounds kinda cool! I've never had the courage to go to something like that. I'm too scared that it doesn't work, I think...

Sounds like you're getting close to the end if you're starting to feel hungry. I think it's a good idea to use your soft drinks. Personally, I do that a lot already, because I hardly ever get rid of the hunger feeling completely. As long as it works, right?

Have a great weekend!
