Pleased to hear you are all ok. Am so ready for these after shocks to stop! Wouldn't mind sooooo much if they were shaking all the fat off with it! Ok, I lie, I would still mind, am not enjoying them at all.

Re: This one's for freddie
Thanks for your messages.
Unfortunately I fell of the bus big style yesterday and have struggled a bit to get back on today. Think it was the combination of pre refeed hunger and then the stress and chaos of the quake. I just went into a carb overload and will now have to claw my way back. Wish I could have handled the situation better as I thought I had learnt more in the last few months. I know part of me was using it as an excuse. Anyway in the big picture we are all safe and alive and I am grateful for that. The rest I will just have to rack up to experience and get back on the bus. So mum, in answer to your question, the hungries have been put to rest for a few days. Will still hopefully pick up refeed on weds and will discuss with them when to start. ff |

Re: This one's for freddie
Hi FF, I can so understand your response to yesterday, if I hadn't been so darn busy I am pretty sure I would have done the same! It is not often we have to face a situation like that, thankfully, and we all just do what we have to do to get through it - physically and emotionally.
Looking forward to seeing that last little bit moving really soon. Andrea |

Re: This one's for freddie
Aftershocks are still pretty unsettling although I haven't felt any during the day today last night there were some biggies that gave me the heebie jeebies. Hubby phoned at lunch time to tell me he has had to dismantle our chimney as it was unsafe.
When there is so much going on food has felt like the last priority but I know that if I want to complete this I have to make it numero uno at least until refeed which btw is being sent in the post to me as we speak due to the clinic being out of action for a while. I now need to refocus just to get through the evening. Bad sleep+ stress means emotionally and physically exhausted. Just need to get through the evenings booby traps until I can get in the bath and relax! Hope to catch up on some of your diaries later. Thanks again for your messages and support. ff |

Re: This one's for freddie
Noone I know is getting any sleep at the moment, those two big ones last night were sleep destroying! I have felt a couple of shocks this morning but nothing since then, and I dont like that they are saying we can still expect another reasonably big one anytime.
You can do this, no matter what is going on, it is the one thing that you can actually control at the moment - that is how I am looking at it. Chin up, we will get through it, in one piece, even if we just take each hour as it comes. Andrea |

Hi ff
Quote:
I can feel the earth moving here as I am typing this. Six days of continual stress wasn't in our how to cope with food strategising. I ran a big bubble bath last night, - lit some candles etc, then (before I got in) we had a large aftershock which sent the candles into the bath and emptied 1/2 the bath all over the floor I have to be brief as our internet will no doubt not be on very long (we are at Pegasus - very close to Kaiapoi - all ok with us though). Take care LB x

Re: This one's for freddie
Hi ff, you have done so well considering the circumstances, I really am proud of you.I think you and my doctor must be working together ! I had to go there today and she was very concerned that I stop loosing weight NOW.She said the exact same thing as you concerning the BMI. She hasn't seen me for a long time and I got the picture she wasn't happy. She said to be 20 BMI and under created health issues as well as being the other way. I told her I was increasing my portions now.Phew that was good timing ! Have a restful evening.XXXX
