You sound really good Loulou!

Great going all round, the weight loss is soooo, so close to your goal weight, and you sound as though you've had a go on the personal revelation stage aswell!

So good to hear, so good to see,

Take care

This last bit's slow for both of us, LouLou. I do want to be done, but don't want to mess up, so will wait until I get hungry, which may be 7-8 weeks away, so you might beat me there.

I had small cm losses last week, but really good ones this week. I hope the same for you next week.

Have you just been promoted to moderator? I just noticed it under your name. Congratulations, although they may be very belated.

Default Getting Hungry!

Hi there

Yes I am getting hungry which is quite annoying because I don't want to order refeed yet. I shall persevere, I know other people have got hungry at about this stage and then it goes away again for a while so fingers crossed. I went to a party this afternoon and my weight loss was the main topic of conversation. Some people there hadn't seen me for months and were gobsmacked at my change in appearance. Lots of lovely compliments and I can see how easy it would be to fall off the wagon at this point and why some people do. Everyone's telling you how great you look, clothes are fitting well and you're getting restless with the diet. However, one day at a time I'm going to keep going, even though I'm clock watching till my next meal at the moment.

Mette- for a lot of people I think the fear is that it WILL work, we get so stuck in our comfort zones even changing destructive behaviours can feel like dying sometimes. You are changing by doing Cohens and it's working. I'm sorry to hear you've never really been free of the hunger, I have for most of the time and it's been fantastic, no hunger, no craving. Makes it a bit tough at the moment.

Erra- we live, we learn and hopefully we do something useful with what we learn. Plus I'm all for having more fun, wasn't always the case!

Hi Koh- thanks for dropping in, here's a scratch behind the ears and you can have all the off cuts from my steak, you look as though you need a good feed!

AJ- yes this is the new Mod me! I've still got my L plates on but I was thrilled to be asked and I see it as another way of keeping on track too.

And now I'm going to go to bed and hopefully have lots of HGH fat busting sleep. My niece stays with us every second weekend and she gets up soooo early, sleep-ins aren't an option *sigh*

x

LouLou, my consultant told me yesterday that we should go onto refeed as soon as we get really hungry. I told her that some waited a couple of days and it went away again, but she said it's the indication that we are at the right weight. Going beyond it makes the weight hard to maintain. You might like to talk with your consultant and see what she thinks.

Thanks AJ, I was thinking the same thing. Having said that I haven't been as hungry today. But I did remember that those of us who are well endowed often get hungry earlier than others. And I certainly am of the "well endowed" variety! One of the women at the party yesterday even mentioned how lucky I was to have lost so much weight and still have such impressive assets! And here was me thinking about a possible breast reduction! She also said it was great that I didn't look gaunt at all, lovely woman, she can be my friend anytime.

I also need to remember that I have lost more weight than is on my ticker, less than a year ago, according to my doctor's scales, I weighed over 30 kg more than I do now. I would still like to get down to the weight I used to maintain at which is 61 kg but if the hunger gets worse then I'll settle with what I am. (I think I'd be 61 kg now if I had that breast reduction!)

Hey LL

I went thru the hunger thing too before I went away ... and watching the clock was killing me .... and trying to spread out the crackers and fruit ..

Obviously being on holidays killed all of that .. and then had to detox again .. but have been the opposite in the last few days ... not even hungry at all .. have to make myself eat .... so decided not to start refeed .. figured maybe the holiday screwed things up a bit ... oh well .... my choice and I don't regret it ... maybe the hunger will come back in by the end of this week .. will see how we go !!

hang in there .. not long now !!

Hi Loulou,
I bet you had a lovely time at that party getting all those compliments. I would hate to think we had done all this and noone noticed! Its funny how we all want what we done have. Here you are thinking breast reduction and everyone else is envying you. I hope you hunger passes soon and doesnt return until your ready for refeed.

Hey Loulou,

You are doing so well, not long now . I'm with Louise, just appreciate those assets, I would kill for them! I've gone from a D to a B already....praying I don't go down to an A....that's just pitiful. But if you decide to go ahead with the reduction.............I'LL TAKE 'EM tell the doc to save them for me .

Happy losing.

Default Hunger has gone again, Hooray!

Hi there

Yep, not hungry anymore, I think I've been doing the same thing as AJ, expecting to get hungrier so I start looking for it when in the past I just wouldn't think about it.

I worked out why diet drinks suddenly became so attractive. it's the freedom of being able to walk into a shop and buy something I can put in my mouth! After so long preparing everything myself, diet drinks became my fast food fix! Anyway I'm going to ween myself off them because I really don't like all those chemicals, sometimes I feel like I've been poisoned after a Coke Zero and then have to drink litres of water to flush it out of my system. I drank 5 litres of water yesterday! I am a very sensitive creature when it comes to chemicals though.

Weigh in day tomorrow and news on my refeed. Very exciting.

Stoddy- I am finding I'm looking for treats, the diet drinks were doing it for me but I need to say goodbye to them. Having my fruit and crackers through out the day gives me something to look forward to as well.

Louise and Suzie Q- it's so true isn't it, we all want want others have! My anorexic sisters have both had breast implants and I'm thinking of giving my natural ones away! I raised the subject with The Hubby for the first time this morning and much to my surprise he was supportive. I thought he'd be dead set against it. He wants me to be happy and will support me in what ever I decide. I'm going to follow the good Doctor Cohens guidelines on this one as well. After a year of maintenance see what the lay of the land is and make a decision then.

I'll check in tomorrow and change that ticker.

x

Loulou

I had a friend that had a breast reduction because they were out of proportion and were hurting her back. She said it was one of the best decisions she ever made. As long as you make sure the right doctors do it (have seen some awful results from wrong doctors). It's great that your husband is supportive! Means so much to have the right people in your corner.

I'm glad the hunger is gone, too. Feeling hungry is just downright frustrating sometimes. Hope you're having a great week!

Default Your going so well!!

Loulou, You are so close to goal! I guess once you reach goal you will decide whether or not you still need a reduction. When Im overweight its something that has crossed my mind, but really even with the weight loss I have had already I find they are no longer annoying me. I remember toying with the idea some years ago and after a breast lump scare and the thought of maybe losing one etc I decided that what I had was nice and natural and symmetrical etc and suddenly it put everything into perspective. Not in any way wanting to change your mind - just recounting my experience. I have assisted in theatre where people have had them performed and the results look great! One of my friend had a reduction and she was so happy afterwards! She said it was the best thing she ever did.

Im pleased that your hunger has resolved, you have been so good you deserve to get to goal superfast.
take care

Hey Loulou,

Just wondering, when will you order your refeed? Takes a couple of weeks to receive it after ordering I think I read somewhere.

Soooo close to goal now.......reach out and you can touch it!! So sweet that your hubby supported you like that about the reduction, sounds like you have a good one there - better keep him hey? hehe.

Default 3 Months till Christmas!!! Week 20 Stats and Blood Test Day

Well today is a big day!

My last blood test on Cohen's. Yep we're ordering refeed. I've consulted with my consultant and as I'm within 2kg of the top of goal range they'll order my refeed as soon as they get my blood test results.

Great cm loss this week, my biggest ever, which has left me astounded, 8.5 cm. And a nice drop of 1.1 kg, nice to get over that 1 kg mark again.

My goal range is 59-62 so I'm getting pretty close.

I've finally had to give away my size 14 jeans, I was doing the "boyfriend jeans" look with them for a while but now I just look like a clown when I put them on. One pair of size 12's is going too, just too baggy. However other size 14 trousers still fit really well and I realised the size 1o DKNY trousers were a USA 10 making them an Aus size 12, so that makes more sense to me now. There's still no way I could fit into a size 10.

I still have plenty of flab on my belly and that horrible back fat under my shoulder blades but I think with a few more kg gone and some exercise in maintenance things will firm up. And if they don't I still look a whole lot better than I did this time last year...this time 5 months ago!

Thanks for dropping in Mette, Louise and Suzie Q. Only 3 months till Christmas and this will be our best one ever! Thanks for the breast reduction comments too. I don't know whether I will get it done But I definitely will leave it a year before making a decision.

Won't be long till I'm at my next mini goal...I might have an extra weigh in this week. Then I can have another treat at the day spa!

x

Loulou

Hey Loulou

Thanks for the knock .. I don't get on here much anymore .. been pretty busy .. and there is so many people ... and some of the oldies are gone (or on hols or living with me hehe) .. so just let the newbies play .. haha ...

I reckon I will start refeed on Monday so yes you did catch me ... I am within 2k's of top range and my consultant said cause I still have E cup boobs there is prob 2k's there .. haha ... what she doesnt realise is with a bra off .. they are just looooong flat mumma's .. that I have to roll up .. am hoping they firm a bit with some exercise .. hate the saggy skin !!

Weight has gone up a bit with TOM and exercise but I am still comfortable .. I want to do refeed to properly introduce everything back in ... and get my body used to the larger meals so will watch the scales with scrutiny !!

Again thanks for the knock .. and I look forward to seeing your refeed diary !! how exciting !!

Stoddy

Great loss this week Loulou! You must be so looking forward to refeed! It will be nice to have it over and done with before christmas. It sounds like the size 10s wont be too far away- I wish the stores would be their sizes synchronised, it would make life so much easier

Congrats on the ordering refeed, Loulou! And the great loss for the week! I'm sure the little 'flab' you still have will be gone in no time, especially when, as you say, you can hit the gym and tone up a bit.
I don't think I'll be done by Christmas, but at least that way I won't binge, right?

I have had a breast reduction and it really was the best thing I have ever done. If you have any questions or want to chat about it just let me know! You will feel like a totally new woman with your new bod and small boobs hehe.

Congratulations on getting to ordering refeed, LouLou. Mine was to be ordered as soon as the results of the blood test that I had last Friday were in. I've been expecting it to arrive all week, but it's still not here. I haven't heard that there was a problem, will follow up if it's not here by next Tuesday. I'm not expecting to start for at least a couple of weeks.

My extra weight is on my legs. I have heavy legs, and they are not reducing except for the thighs a bit. I'm starting to think that I really don't want to go to the low end of my range (60 kgs) as my upper body will be too thin.

I agree with waiting for twelve months before deciding to do any body sculpting. We are told it can take that long for our bodies to redistribute and settle. Great that your husband is supporting you in whatever you decide to do.
