LOL... that is classic, good on your sister for sticking up for you and giving that skinny chick the evils...at least her heart is in the right place even if her eyes were popping out of her head.

good on you chick 22.3 kgs in 16 weeks is awesome going...i hope i can do that.

i am worried about getting to the stage when people say you've lost enough...i know it is coming but not sure if you can prepare yourself for it.

hope you are just brushing it off...saying thanks for the advice and then doing what you know is right for you anyway.

take care and keep it up.

I've started telling people I only have about 1-2kg to go. They have no idea how long that will take me - and it makes them happy.

LOL that's so funny she didn't recognise you!

I was wondering about getting a goal outfit....do you use one you had from before or did you buy one pacifically? (sorry, kath and kim joke) I have no skinny clothes left....chucked them when I was having a hissy fit at being overweight and not being able to fit any of my old clothes. Might have to start scouting shops for ideal outfit!

My beloved tigers are out I cried. Even went to bed wearing my tigers hat. Yes, I am tragic. Sigh. Always next year.

Go pies! (again!)

Hi Sunny,

It was quite funny that she didn't regonise me - I still don't think that I look that different, but I must!

My goal outfit was a gorgeous size 12 bright green dress that my mother-in-law brough me about 3yrs ago for Christmas. I never could even get it past my thighs or over my chest so when I started this program, I hung it on the bathroom door so I could look at it every night before I went to bed and every morning when I woke up to motivate me.
I tried it on the other night, and it fits, but it's not a well cut dress (who would have thought hey?!) so it doesn't sit right even though it fits. Uno what I mean?

So now I'm on the hunt for a new outfit. I think I might go some skinny leg jeans and a nice top or something. It's really motivating to look at it (for me anyway) so I'd definatley recomend going to get one, put it somewhere you can see and keep thinking about fitting into it. It's the best feeling in the world when you do!!

Sorry to hear about your tigers Can't believe that our game last week was a draw - I nearly had heart failure in the last quarter! So thanks for your 'go pies' again this week - we need it love!! hehe

Hope you're going well on your program. Will check into your diary soon.

Smile Daisy Chain's Personal Diary

Day 115 (week 16) - Thursday 30th September

Wow, it's the last day in September already?! My goodness me, this year is flying!!

Well not to much is happening in my world. I'm feeling very disorganised and all over the place in my home life at the moment. My house is seriously terrible It's so desperately in need of a clean, but I just can't find the time?!

With work so busy I'm getting home late, then by the time I've cooked dinner, lunch and breakfast, eaten, cleaned up it's time to have a shower and go to bed! Ugh... I keep telling myself that each night I'll do one room and then it'll be smaller tasks, but it's just not happening!! I really need to pull my finger out and just do it.

It's my hubby's b'day on Sunday, so I'm thinking of a special cake that I can make for him. It's killing me at the moment all these birthdays and cakes, they are all so yummy and with TOM appraoching, not having sugar is seriously SO hard!
Confession time: I had a mouthfull of Aimz's b'day cake on Tues, which is know is really wrong. I won't do it again. Sometimes it just kills me to smell it and not be able to have even the littlest bit. So I'm doing something about it, I went to buy the Blackmores Sugar Control tablets last night, can't find them anywhere but will go to a health food shop tonight and I'm sure they'll have some. Hopefullly they will help give me that last little bit of willpower that I lost the other day.

So did some more grocery shopping last night, and found mangos! Woo Hoo! Kirst has been talking about how wonderful they are and I haven't been able to find them anywhere so was really happy when I found them. They were $5.00 each (yoowch!) so I just got two. I've never eaten mango before (not unless it was in a fruit salad already done) so I have no idea how to eat it!
My boss told me this morning how to cut it and not to eat the skin - woops - I thought you ate the skin! She had a good laugh at that! So morning tea today is a mango. Will see how I go!

I said to hubby last night, "at $5.00 a pop I hope that I like them" he cracks me up, his response was "at $5.00 a pop I hope you DON'T like them!!!"... hehe

Ok everyone, hope that you have a wonderful day.

Oh how many times I have nearly caved with the just one little taste. I have been doing so much baking and cooking lately and I never use a recipe, this seems to work for me, but the worst part is I cant even taste it to see how I went and if it needs more or less of something. Dont sweat it I have come soooo close to it and I'm sure many others have too.

I really cant wait to see mangos at the little fruit stall down the road. I sooo want one now I read about you having one, so jelous.

Hope you thoroughly enjoyed it. Keep up the great work.

Mmmmmmmm mangoes - where have this disappeared to here. I seriously cant find them and I can eat them frozen, straight oh and in the bath

I have always been in awe of you guys and the baking - I would have caved alot longer ago. I keep anything bad out of my house so I dont give in to temptation so when craving hits it means physically going out to get it, and well being lazy has its bonuses LOL.

DC go get some of them really hot levi curve ID jeans as your goal - they are seriously hot and come in so many designs and shade of jean colour. Thats my plan in hawaii - want to be closer to size 12 so I get an idea of my shape of I can buy them in a 10 - hot hot hot.

Hugs babe xxxx

Talking Daisy Chain's Personal Diary

Day 121 (week 17) - Wednesday 6th October

Wow, first October diary entry, I can't believe that it's Oct already!! Yikes!!

Time is just flying this year, I guess that's a good thing as it means that the time on my program is flying too!!

I'm feeling pretty good at the moment. Have had a bit of a rough time over the last week or so, very emotional and had to do a lot of soul searching. I got really flat with my program and putting in the effort to maintain this program. It took me a while to give myself a little pep talk and refocus. I feel really great, and I'm starting to look good so what the heck was I so upset about?!

Sometimes my hormones really play havok with me, and I have a couple of 'destructive' people in my life who don't have to do much to bring me down. The combination of the two really left me a bit depressed and overwhelmed.

On Sunday I had a big talk with myself, I decided that the best way to tackle this issue is to start to push out those people that bring me down, and keep close those people who bring me up! I am very lucky to have an amazing husband, and wonderful immediate family who support and love me through all my ups and downs. So I decided to focus on them, and not on feeling sorry for myself.

I also pulled out my Cohens book and read it again from cover to cover as if it was my first program. I'm approaching this last bit of weight I have to shift (12kg or so) as if I'm starting all over again. I've just joined Cohens to loose 12kgs and hey - that's not a lot - I can do this in no time!

It's just a mind set thing, but it's really worked and kicked my butt back into action. I'm focused and strong and ready to shift these last kgs.

Apart from all that I've been doing ok, daylight savings is mucking up my sleep for some reason so I'm a bit tired, but the Blackmores sugar tablets are great and I haven't had anymore scary sugar monster cravings - phew!!

Really excited about the nice warm weather coming up, and for the first time in a very VERY long time to be able to wear skirts and dresses and singlets and feel comfortable in my own skin. Yay!

Thank you Dr Cohen for discovering this program and changing my life.

Let's go get 'em world!! Yeah!! Bring it on baby!!

You always make me smile DC! And you know what...taking the thought of...this is a new program and you only have so many kilos to lose is a really REALLY great idea! Think I might take that on board as I have pretty much the same left to lose that I've already lost so really I know I can do this! You're so smart

And mangoes....yum yum yum! Found them in Woolies the other day...bit small and expensive but who cares they are mangos! I'm now hanging out for apricots so I can make apricot chicken! Think I might give mango chicken a try tonight as I haven't had any fruit today yet...so reckon I can save a piece for dinner

LOL ok hijacking your diary....glad to see you're feeling better honey!

Hehe, just thinking of that brings a smile to my face, DC - let those who love you continue to support you, love them right back,

and "who gives a rat's" to the rest who would love to bring you down .....

Hang tough, DC - you are a winner, and I'm sure you'll give that message to any doubters who might be "chipping away" at your self-confidence !!

Talking Daisy Chain's Personal Diary

Day 122 (week 17) - Thursday 7th October

Good morning petals!!

Firstly to my gorgeous friends on here Kirst so glad that my diary helped inspire you to think of the program a bit differently. I know that it's worked for me as I feel really motivated again, and strangely enough - after that my numbers are moving again and thoughts of deviation are long gone. I really hope that it helps you too love. xxx

Koh you are such a sweetheart. Thanks for your lovely words of encouragement. Love you reading and commenting on my diary. You're just gorgeous!!

Chrissie thanks so much for the encouragement - I can take inspiration from you my girl - you're going great guns. Love hearing how well you're doing in your diary and you're so close to re-feed - I'm SO excited for you!!!

So onto todays update, last night we had some massive storms in Melb and lucky me was left in the rain b/c my hubby was late to pick me up for dinner! Boo Hoo!! I did get ready to throw a little tanty, but then when I got into the car and saw his face I though to myself - seriously, this is one of the 'good guys' in your life - so he's a bit late and you are wet. Does it really matter that much that you want to cause a fight over it??

This is one of the people in your life that treats you well, and supports and loves you. So why would you crack the poopies with him and ruin your night together - rather than letting it go, and leaving the poopie cracking for people that really deserve it?!

I know, lightbulb moment hey?? lol...

Dinner was nice at our grandparents house, and my sister her hubby and our little niece joined us to which was so lovely. I managed to survive nearly the whole night having a good time until his mother came over to me (in another room) when I was rocking little bubba to sleep and said "One day it'll be yours, one day" and looked at me with this look of pity... ugh... I was really hurt once again, but decided to not let it ruin my night and shook it off. I smiled without saying anything, and went back into the other room.

I told my hubby and his comment was "well at least you only got one comment this time"... lol... dearey me. He will never be one to stand up for me in these kind of situations, but ohh well. Onwards and upwards hey?!

I'm excited for my dinner tonight as a girlfriend at work has taught me how to cook squash, and I'm going to do some in a stirfry with my dinner tonight. I've never had it before but I'm happy about eating something different. Yesss!!!

Ok well I'd better go read some of your diaries and keep you all perky and motivated while I'm on my high!!

Have a great day muffins!!

Hey DC,

Love your new approach to Cohens and your last 12 kgs - Am sure it will fly off!!

I am going to take your advice and get a 'goal outfit'....might be a size 12 something as that was my size for years and years (although back then, I thought I was fat!) and I can't wait to find something really nice!

You did really welll to handle that little dig about the baby....and LOL the thought of you standing in the rain, debating whether or not to chuck a tanty and then realising your hubby was a good guy....I had to giggle at that! Cohens makes us do some weird and wonderful soul searching.

Here's to a great week ahead my dear
