Hello there Andy, and wow, you simply and powerfully continue to be an awesome and legendary inspiration on this forum! Always love reading your diary, a bit like the Nike ad, JUST DO IT! And that stuff about being able to bend down to pick things up and being able to cut your own toenails! Now that's the kind of stuff some FAT people out there really want to hear but are too afraid to ask about! Straight down the line that is you Andy no fluff and nonsense and definately no show pony in your house (well not yet anyway!) Lets wait and see if he shows up some time soon! I would take my hat off to you Andy, but i dont like how they mess with my hair! Keep keeping the rest of us inspired!

Thanks for that Andy,
I have a very cruisey day, sit in an office all morning and then do similar in arvo at home! If I am outside doing something I do need more water, but I'm thinking I dont need so much when I'm not doing much. I am very thirst first thing in the morning when I get up but I think that would be normal.
Have a good day

Thanks every one - I reckon I just got slack - didn't care and put on twice my body weight just by having a good time and plenty of fun.........at a cost...and a don't give a care attitude to life it makes it very easy - the big wake up came after I started to have to kneel on my knees to pick things up or could just topple over if I lent forward on a chair to far and my doctor looked at me one day and said ...." Yer gonna die before you get to 50..........." - sort of got me thinking a bit .......... gee I'd be heavy for mate to carry me out ........and I would not see my grand kids ....and boy your dead for a long time so had better even that up a bit .......so here we are !!!!!!!!!!!

All good

WOW Andy less than 20kgs left to lose

I have found that as I go through this journey I have come to realise all the things I did and ate in the past made be become so overweight.

I now know what not to do to ever get there again. I never want to be that weight again or have to buy my clothes from the big sized stores EVER.

Well done you are doing AMAZINGLY

Thanks Wendy and Irene and Jeannie - I just had to update my ticker as this morning I crossed over that 50 kg - "gone" - mark.................anything for a celebration .......that was at about 5.00am and then my day seems to fly along now - no more dragging my feet - I am full bore again - and I have just come home from the office and eaten my tea and remembered to update my ticker - It is a great sense of achievement - but I really need to refocus for the next 19 kg - I now feel like a normal type person- just a bit to loose !!!!!!! and not half my body weight or another way of looking at as 43 frozen butter ball No 16 chooks - that would fill a deep freeze !!!!!!!! So tonight as I cooked my tea I thought "Well - bit of a good job - 50 kg down the track - but don't blow it - refocus and finish the job" so thats my new commitment - regardless of what every body says - I am going to finish this job - reach goal weight of 70 kg come hell or high tide in out back Queensland - I am going down that road. So thats that.

I do hope every one else - gets to their goal weight and their life changes - yes we can dream as much as we like - but dreams are all it is - you do have to get out and do the walk to talk the talk - and yes - i do know that You've got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die but you still have to do the work to get your results in black and white - no dream dust gives the bottom line !!!!

Have a good one

Andy

Here we are back after a very busy couple of weeks - have briefly gone on line and read some of the updates but with so many new ones and about 200 postings a day - I have found I have to be "picky" as it would take me hours to read - so I have not posted in any for a while now - but I am still reading a lot of the posts - just watching you all cruise along - happily by the sound of things with very few glitch's or whines.

Everyone seems to be cruising along and a swag of new starters - so all the best to all who are just starting - its a good programme - you just need to get your mind right and give the plan a chance to work - give it a little time and the results will appear in your favour soon enough.

I have had a very busy week away and whilst I have not deliberately deviated I have lived at motels for a week so my scales are not handy at restaurants so it is pure guess work and I think I always "over do" rather than "under do" with the guessing of the portion weights - so my weight this week is the same as it was last Monday - but its still good and this week I will knuckle down to the kitchen scales etc so hopefully see a drop soon. I am also on new scales so they may be slightly different but I am not concerned as I know from my previous 27 weeks how well the program works.

I have just been absolutely blown away by being able to walk into any clothing shop and just buy cloths off the rack that fit me - and I even have had to take new ruggers back to Lowe's as at 92 they were too big and exchange them for 87 - about 25 years since I wore size 87 shorts - what an amazing feeling - and to be ale to buy and wear a normal polo shirt - off the rack - without searching the rack for the huge "one of size" as I have always done for years. I know how you girls must feel about your dress shopping now - its never been anything but a major core for me this cloths buying thing but now I find it very enjoyable - but I am very careful as cloths I bought before Christmas when I was at about 105 are just too big and I only wore some of them once or twice - so as I still have about 15 - 18 kg to go I am hesitant to buy any cloths as I now think I will out grow them soon enough and need to buy more.

Any way had better get going - have a great week every one and get into it - it works - just do it I say

Andy

Thanks Andy for posting in my diary.. You have done so well. I know I don't have much to lose but when I read what you and others have acheived it is very motivating. Shopping for clothes would have to be one of the most depressing things to do when you are overweight. I know I have walked out of shops feeling very down in the dumps. My husband lost 20kg and now can fit into great tshirts and polo tops which he can now tuck into his jeans if he has to. He hated wearing jeans and the tracky dacks use to get a bit of a work out but now he never wears trackies only shorts and jeans. Looks good in them too!

Cheers
Tuti

Well done Andy, you are such an inspiring Cohenite - I agree with the clothes shopping comment - I've had to stop buying clothes (except for some excellent but yet 2nd hand shop buys) as the clothes I bought 7 weeks ago are hanging on me now and I'm giving them away. It's great to buy straight off the hanger now isn't it - good for you - you deserve the rewards! You obviously have more muscle than me (men should of course) as I notice your BMI is slightly lower than mine.

CONGRATULATIONS ANDY YOU LEGEND! - 50KGS GONE FOREVER!

'Lo Andy. I don't think I've posted in your diary before. I'm gradually trying to get to most diaries, have tended to concentrate on the newbies. I remember how much I was encouraged when I first started. You're right, keeping up with diaries takes a lot of time.

I'm so impressed with what you've achieved. I think all of us who are seriously overweight are looking forward to being able to shop where everyone else shops. I get so discouraged, thinking 'I'm not going to pay all that money just to look like that!'

here I start week 29 - and at this point I am 52.1 kg down with 17 kg to go to hit my goal weight of 73 - from 141.1 on 20/08/07 to today. I am off for the 28 week blood test today. I had a full set of blood tests done the same as my first one - the results are so impressive the doctor told me if he could transfer the results to 10% of his patient's he would be happy. I have gone tot he lowest in all ranges on every thing and cholesterol has dipped to low - which is of no concern - the doctor said I am as healthy as any person can be and was so impressed that he looked up the web site whilst I was in the surgery - and I am so happy - what more could I expect for my work to date ?????

I have slowed in the loose department - but think that as I hit the 10 kg loose that this has happened all the way threw the loose. At about 10 kg lost the body stops for a little rearranging - then starts again. I know its doing it - I have some skin folds that where not about a week ago - but expect that to tighten up - this week.

Thanks to every one who has written in diary thus far - I appreciate your support - I like all need it as much as you.

I must go as I am about to take a horse for a ride for the kids over the road who are away at school - at least I can spring into the saddle - and not feel guilty for the poor old horse that had to carry me before - he must feel the difference. Anyway will talk again soon. Just love watching the sun rise from horse back - very at peace feeling - you city cousins miss a great delight of the bush !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ............... I suppose you get smelly noisy trucks in return ........... and smog fumes.!!!

Please also have a look at my other posts else where on this forum and give it some thought.

52.1kg in 28 weeks is a seriously amazing achievement Andy. Your doctor must be as proud of you as we all are. You're a champ.

Very impressive results, Andy. I'm due for a regular checkup with my GP next month, will be interested to see if my readings show the same trend as yours.
