Default The quest for Caro!

I laughed picturing the lady walk into the pole, how random, I'd say a pants wetter that one!!!

Isn't shopping GREAT!!! OMG, I have spent so much money this last few weeks on clothes - and op shops -LOVE THEM!! I really need to slow it down a bit or I'll have no room for when I am actually at the size I want to be. I'm not yet loving the change rooms, but loved hearing your stories - thank you, they make me look forward to it and it is nice to hear that it is possible to one day have a great relationship with change rooms. Your entries are great c-jaye, a really great and interesting read. Keep up your fantastic efforts! Congratulations on becoming a moderator!!!!

Thanks for all the lovely congratulations on becoming a Moderator - I am so glad I found the forum and I appreciate all the help from the Mod-squad!! and in the words of the great Shuki-star - when you have travelled the path it is good to reach a helping hand behind you to help others on the journey....... (not a direct quote but close).

And another trip to Vinnies in K-town this arfternoon with a girl from work - found a great dress for her and two for me - can't go wrong with $8.00 a dress, a bright red SIZE 10 dress that matches my hat perfectly, and a gorgeous floaty number that just screams casual (but dressy) bbq, visit to the wharf, out for a drink or random catch up - so it was meant to be - and then a request from HQ to work in D-town for the next week!!!

RACES HERE I COME!!!! Just need to find some people to go along with.............. shouldn't be a problem surely.

Did I tell you that I am loving the shopping...............

Hi Caro

Just wanted to pop in and say 'THANK YOU'! I have now had salt and vinegar 'chips' 2 days in a row and loving it!
I'm going to make a whole batch this weekend.

Yum!

Hope you are having a great day! I can say with a smile that I have made it past Detox and into Day 4. The first time in a loooooong while..........
A little 'nervous' about a dinner party I am hosting tomorrow night. Hope I can stay on plan and not make it too obvious.

More in my diary.

Thanks again.

Cheers
Jade

Thanks for the laugh Caro - sad, but it's always funny when people do things like that. Just embarrasing if you do it yourself! How funny...

Size 8 - my lord girl! You're doing amazing. I've missed reading the regular funnies in your diary! I'll have to read the full te-ta-te you and Mark had in mine... I'll get back to you!!!

I can't wait to start shopping...holding myself back A LOT as I'm a bit of a shop-a-holic but don't want to spend the $$'s until it is sizes that I don't shrink out of too fast...hehehe!

Well...glad your are doing well...sounds like you are having a great time. And LOL to the lady that walked into the pole...funny!

Wow, so I went back to Vinnies to pick up a dress for another work mate - you know how you just know that it will be perfect and she has been losing weight and is just looking fantastic - so it's reward time! And what do you know two more dresses that are perfect for me - pink floaty and brown stretchy lacey number - So more occasions needed! I know.......................more shopping!!

So Bronnie and Nix I am in town and ready for lunch, coffee, catch-ups anything that does not involve tourists and poles!

Caro - what happened to the 1 in 1 out???

When you're talking Nixy, do you mean bumping into poles or sliding up and down them???

Hi everyone, I am happy to be the resident shopaholic - not much else to report except that all is good - have tended to a bit of conceit a couple of times - but pulled up short by showing myself a before photo...... it's great to be able to see the light at the end but it is still prudent to remember the tunnel................

WSM - the one in one out policy still exists - almost at the neutral point where I cannot get anything else - lucky me dropped to size 10 work pants this week and 12 workshirts so more things to go - however I will be very well dressed for work if I don't slow down on the dresses............... check out Nixy's diary, hear the crowd roar for a demonstration.................

Shuki - you are the best person I have never met! You are doing so great you are my inspiration...... truly.

So my latest purchase is a great red bag to match the perfect red dress and the fabulous red hat - do you think I will stand out at the races????? And it was in a half price sale so total outfit cost is 70.00 - this journey continues to amaze me.......... 15 weeks ago I was squeezing into a size 16 and now fitting into size 10's, even 8's, loving life, feeling confident and looking good....... and most measurements into healthy ranges........ thats the best of all!!!!

Welll surprisingly off to do more shopping.......... will keep you informed.....

Mark did you check the turtles........................................... ...??????

Hey I bought the cutest little chinese silk dress today - cream silk with water colour flowers - edged in pink - heavenly, pinned up my hair and almost looked chinesey if I squinted my eyes and stood way at the other side of the room and looked into the mirror over my shoulder!!!!! But its cute and I have begged the peope at work to take me out while I am in Darwin!!! So far a couple of takers so those dresses will not just be taking up space!!

But the mental wardrobe is starting to kick in - NO MORE CLOTHES!!!! For a couple of days anyhow, maybe I can leave things in my travelling bag and just rotate thm through the wardrobe!!!!

Bronnie 0417838966 anytime you want lunch or coffee! I'm your girl, and hey I checked out your butt too!!!!

I had some serious conversations with a couple of people today - people who began to lose weight on Cohens and then got worried when it was working and found it difficult to deal with the side issues - why they were overweight, who they would be when they lost it and of course the biggest one - the seemingly sudden attention from other people (this one of course does not affect me anymore- I am a princess, I have a tshirt to prove it and I need to be adored).

I just feel for them, if I could let them feel how I do right now......... but you cannot save the whole world - I can only hope to inspire someone to change their world - so you know who you are - you need some inspiration - you will not regret giving 100% - you will still be the same wonderful person who deserves to be happy, truly happy and you will inspire others. Be your best friend, use all of us for support, tell me when you need me and I will be there to help you through!!!

Wow - go back and re-read your diaries! This is from my Day 4 - those smaller clothes feel great and I look at them on the line and think WOW, I cannot believe it, and how differently do I think - well, apart from my developing princess complex:

I don't have to go along with things I don't agree with so I don't bring attention to myself;
I can sit by myself and have coffee in a cafe because I am worth spending time with;
I think that people are on their own journey and everyone is dealing with something - so be nice!
I feel comfortable in my own skin!
I really believe in my abilities!
