Jude: Your body might be responsing differently from mine. Don't give up! Yes, I am feeling much better now. I talked to my mother about it and she tried to console me that it is better to lose the weight slowly. I hope that means she will not keep asking me how much I have lose in future. I get pressure when she does that. carrieanne: Kang Kong is a kind of local vegetables. I think it is also called Chinese Water Spinach or Swamp Cabbages. It is a green leafy vegetables with a hollow in the stem. I LOVE IT. It is great with chilli and crunchy too! As you can see from all the menu I have, I have a "spicy hot" tongue. I just hope that by the end of the program, I will also have a "spicy hot" body to match it. LOL. Just found a picture on the net.

Looks, deeeelish, I too love the spicy foods! I wonder what other cool veggies you guys get to have on your plan, over here it is all the boring stuff nothing exotic like kang kong-I must admit sometimes I add a little ruccula to my lettuce- Because some times I am like that Michael Jackson song, "Because I'm Bad, I'm Bad you know it because I'm Bad I'm Bad you know it,"

I was feeling a little deprived for the last two days and that was why I was drinking them. Starting from tomorrow, my work is going to get quite busy (till end of aug) and that was why I tried to keep this weekends slow and relax. BAD decision because it left my mind wondering about food. the coke drinking is making my stomach too gassy and me farty (sorry about the language).

Carrieanne - Kang Kong is a very common vegetables in Singapore. I also like Cai Xin and this is also allowed (see below pict). My favourite however has to be the mushroom family.
You are funny about the jail thing for being hot. I am looking forward to that!!!! Maybe we can fox the police for letting us out. that should save us some fees for hiring lawyers.

Hey Fornight,
You actually don't have that much to lose to begin with. I started at 87kg and I lost only 9.7kg in the first month. So, your 7kg is way fantastic....so don't fret. Also, can't be compared with your first effort on Cohen because you were younger then and hence metabolic rate was higher. In any case, you are doing great gal! Oh, wanna ask how you cook your kang kong ah? I love sambal kang kong but can't eat that now leh...HELP! |

You are probably right about my metabolism rate when I was doing Cohen back in 2006. I cooked Kangkong with "Eat then Pot" Crushed Chilli and sea salt!!! I got the crushed Chilli from Giants in IMM Building. It ROCKS! I also marinate the prawns with the chilli powder too and stir-fry them together with the kang kong. It tastes almost similar to Sambal Kang Kong. It looks almost like those dried chilli flakes that are used on pizza.

'Eat then Pot' crushed chilli? Is that a brand? Hhhmmm never heard before. Is that fresh crushed chilli?

There is no brand name but there is this yellow wording that say "Eat then Pot".
It is crushed chilli but dried. I used to use chilli padi (cut small pieces) and stir-fry with kang kong. The spicy is sharp and fresh but since it is fresh chili, it needs to be counted as vegetable allowance. Nonetheless, still very nice. LOL

Just receive news that a friend who is working overseas will be coming back for a visit in September. He treated us very well when my friend and I visited him early this year. We promise to treat him a very good dinner the next time he visits Singapore. Oh boy! I hope I can manage to handle this. I also hope to shock him with my weight loss. I will probably try to arrange steamboat dinner in a good restaurant. That way I will be able to eat just vegetables and seafood.

I did sleep for at least 10 hours last night. I went to bed at 8.30pm and woke up 5am today. I did have a good sleep. I got in the office at 7am today because I need leave the office early for my medical appointment. In addition, I have a new colleague joining the office and my boss has put me in charge of taking care of her today. I was practically juggling between my project, sudden urgent issues and taking care of new staff. I nearly missed the time to get out of the office for my appointment. The good news is my back has improved a lot but since I am still experiencing numbness on and off, I will still need to go through the intensive treatments. The doctor told me he wanted to see me doing some exercises. I did not tell him that I am doing Cohen because I did not want any judgement from him. I think doing pilates should be ok for cohen. I promise him that I will TRY to incorporate some exercise.\ I am going to try Senokot again tonight. I really need to get some BM before my weekly weigh-in on Friday.

I was so stressed up by my work that I think I grinded my teeth last night. My left lower jaw is really sore. I must remember to relax a bit tonight. I am prone to teeth-grinding when I am too tense or stressed. It is really bad because I don't get good night sleep too. Tomorrow morning is going to be my Weekly weigh-in. I really hope I am in the 60s range.

5th Week - Weigh-in
This is ridiculous!!!
The machine says I weigh 70.2kg. I only lost 300g since last Friday. 70kg has always been my "bottleneck" in the past. I hate this number! It is an EVIL number. I am disappointed because I am so looking forward to being 60s range. Maybe it is due to PMS. According to my record, that is pretty close. I do know that in terms of inch loss, I am definitely better than last week. Yesterday I was wearing a top that I wore last week and it was a tiny tiny bit looser than last week. Maybe I was "integrating"? I was also suffering from signs of cold on and off this week. At least 3 times but each time I manage to stop them from aggrevating by popping in two tablets of panadol cold tablets. Maybe it is the tablets that slow the weigh-loss? But my consultant told me I can take the cold tablets! Enough guesses! I am still going to stick to this diet 100% DF. I need to go and read my "advantages response card" to re-focus on the diet. I did make a promise to myself I will not let the machine dictate my moods and I am going to keep that promise!

Hi fortnight, Thats still a lose not a gain well done you have probly lost more inches. Thats a great result your doing really well so far you should be very proud of yourself. I know you will have a great weight lose next time on the scales. "Go Girl"
