Default Week 3

Hi all, At the end of week 3 and still 110% on the program.

This mornings reading on the scales was 120.3kg amazing another 2.1kg down this week and 35cm has melted away since the start.

Once again have had a busy week. Am starting to realise like alot of cohenites that it is such a battle with your brain not your stomach when it comes to deviations and also how and why I got to where I was 3 weeks ago.

I know I was emotional eater.....happy sad or otherwise would mean a binge of some kind. I am slowly teaching myself other ways of dealing with these situations. I often just need something in my hands to avoid heading to the fridge...my water bottle for instance has become my best friend and also the sugar free chewy!!!!

Not many people have noticed my loss yet. I know I have and so has my hubby and my closest family...They may just being saying that for support but it still means alot. My hubby has a great sense of humour and has invented his own test " the hug test " He gives me hugs to check how much his arms go around me!!!!! Thank goodness for him he has been fantastic.

My first chance of seeing my dad, brother and extended family is at my brothers wedding in Townsville at the end of September. I have told eveyone not to tell them that I'm losing weight as I want to shock them all..hehehe. I'm not setting a goal for weight loss by then, I will be guided by my body. But I know there will be alot less of me and a chance to frock up as the wedding is formal

Am off to go make my days food up to take with us to the V8 super cars at queensland raceway....my hubby got VIP passes. Should be a great day.

Will try get around to more diaries soon

Well done on your losses, Jenny. Most people don't have much idea of what size you are. They know you are big, but don't really think about your size, so takes a while before they notice you have changed unless they know that you are dieting and have taken more time to observe. Friends and family can see the difference because they know to look.

Weight gain is determined by issues that you are having with life. It's not simply a matter of not having willpower. In order to lose successfully and maintain you need to understand why you gain weight and be able to deal with your issues. Seems you are starting on taking control of that now.

Default Week 4

Well its been a month and am so happy I got in the right headspace to change my life

Have decided to weigh myself weekly at the moment as I am enjoying the surprises that the scales have for me at the moment. This morning I have been rewarded with a 2.3kg loss I have had a huge loss for my first month and never in my wildest dreams did I think I could last a whole month without what I thought were my favourite foods. I bought my husband & brother inlaw some chocy treats yesterday and for the first time wasn't interested at all.

I used to suffer with these horrible headaches right behind my eye maybe once a week. I know now they must have been food related, since being on Cohens I have not had a single one of those headaches. I would love to know what type of food caused them and maybe when I do my refeed & maintenance I will find out and ban that food for life!!!!!!!

My clients were so sweet this week a few were saying that I looked really well, my skin looked great etc...Not many of them asked if I had lost weight as they have known me a long time and thought best not to. But when I said I had lost about 12kg they all nearly fell out of the chair. No doubt I will be telling them all about Cohens..when they ask of course I don' t want to bash peoples ears about it as in my own time I was ready to do it.

Well off to change my ticker YAY!!! and do my measurements. I have my 4 week blood test on Monday. Will try and write in some diaries later today.

Also wondering what brand of curry powder everyone is using? All the ones I have found have a wheat ingredient in them.

Hi JennyC. I've been keeping up with your posts, and I can't believe I haven't written in your diary yet. You have had some absolutely incredible results so far - it's exciting to watch.

My start weight was pretty much the same as yours, and here I am 56kg down and on refeed. I never let myself believe that I could get to where I am now, but all it took was sticking to the program. Amazing.

Anyway, keep up the great work. I'm excited for you!

You're off to a great start, Jenny.

You might also post about the headaches that are no more in the Physical Changes thread. We all know about the skin improvements, pretty well everyone has experienced that.

Hi all,

Am writing a mid week message this week as I am not well today and home from work. I have pharygitis I thinks that is how you spell it.

Am dissapointed to get sick so early in my program, but I am determined not to let it get in my way. It was hard to eat my meal last night with a red raw throat but I did it!!! no crispbreads or fruit for the arvo though hurt to much My water was a bit down but I'll get back to normal as much as I can today.

Was telling my doctor about Cohens....I told her I have lost almost 15kg in four and a bit weeks and she looked stressed. She googled Cohens right there and then to have some reading in her lunch break. She asked me if I was starving myself...he he I told her that there was no way I could starve myself as I do love food. I ran her through a typical day and she though that sounded good. I did tell her I have a lot to loose and I am in a small percentage that has lost that much that quick and per week it is getting to a more steady loss and I expect it to get a little lower. On a brighter note my blood pressure that was a little on the high side has come down alot, she was impressed with that.

I am going to go searching for some before photos and get my hubby to take an updated one this weekend. I know it will be nice to put a face with the name!!!!

Thanks AJ & Koh for your messages of support

Thanks for the tip on the curry powder Soon To Be

And SassyK you look amazing you were one of the many that I related to with having such alot to lose, Thanks for the support!!

With all this resting from being sick today I can hardly drag myself away from the forum But I decided to make myself some proper goals. At the beginning I was happy with any kind of loss, but I decided that having small goals was a good thing. I am now trying to decide what my non food rewards will be....my husband just rolls his eyes when I mention bling!!!! He's decided I have enough...my reply no woman can have enough jewellery!!!! Well I will keep thinking and let you all know what I come up with!!!

Just aswell I'm not sick everyday I will seriously end up with square eyes!!!!

Totally hear you Jenny.

I work on the computer all day and sometimes by the end of the day my eyes are a little worse for wear but at least I can hop onto the forums and chat for motivation.

Have a great day!

Husbands don't seem to understand the concept of moving money around to stimulate the economy, Jenny. Don't forget beauty treatments as possible rewards.

Default Week 5

Okay all have had a crappy week and feeling pretty ordinary, this pharyngitis thing I think has turned nasty and now I have woken up with conjunctivitus in one eye trying to go see my doctor again today....

The weightloss on the other had was better than I thought it would be, even though food wise I have managed to be 100% deviation free I have struggled with the water

So I will put on my happy face as 1.9kg is gone this week

I have had to have a week of in 1 weeks time I am calling it forced leave...as I have been sick on and off with different viruses then a chest infection just before I started cohens. I have a very busy business and about this time last year my business partner and I and our hubbys started to fit out a new salon in our non existent spare time. Then my husband had a bad accident at work 2 weeks before xmas thank godness he is ok now and my business partner had a baby??????!!!!!!!
So with hiring and managing staff and working incredibly long hours it is all finally catching up with me....NOT HAPPY JEN!!!!!

I am looking forward to chilling out maybe a few massages etc will be in order.

Thanks to everyone who stops by for a read and leaves me posts it all helps keep me on track!!!

Happy loosing to all have a great sunday!!!!

That's a good loss, Jenny. It sounds like you really need a week off too. Your body should like that, and respond accordingly with a good loss.

I hope you feel better soon.

Default Week 6

Hi everyone,

Well am only just starting to feel alot better in the last couple of days, very happy to not be as sick for my week off chillin and watching the olympics

This week I recorded another huge loss of 3.3kg this is all very surprising as I have been having consistently big losses, I have been waiting for them to slow down and after last weeks 1.9kg I figured I would get past the 2kg mark per week again...then low and behold a massive 3.3kg this week. This is only 200grams shy of losing 20kilos so far!! Have been feeling great and have no clothes that fit!!! A good problem to have I think.

Last night we went to a friends 30th birthday drinks....I drove had my water and a few chewy....Lots of our friends we haven't seen since my 30th in May ( I started cohens about a month later). A few of the guys in their drunken state were sayin to me...." I don't know Jenny but somethings changed since your bday party and damn you are looking good" I had to smile to myself cause I was feeling so much better about myself and about being out in a social situation where normally I would feel like I was getting negative attention.

I am looking forward to another good loss this week with my week of rest and all. I think a massage is in order. I have been thinking about my rewards for reaching my goals. Beauty treatments are great but I have a barter system going with a friend who owns a beauty salon...I do her hair she does my waxing, facials and pediciures fairly regularly so doesn't really feel like a reward. I think a new handbag could be one.....some bling is definately on the cards ( I WILL CONVINCE MY HUBBY!!!) We have decided that early next year we will take a week off and go to Melbourne, my sister inlaw lives there and she keeps begging us to come visit. Both of us haven't been to Melbourne before so will be at goal by then and ready to shop for a new wardrobe!!!! I am starting saving now!!!!

Thanks to anyone who has dropped by and read my diary. I will have more time this week to catch up on everyones diary's

Have a great day

Congratulations on your fantastic losses - they are amazing! Good luck with your reward planning, a handbag sounds good. I work on the "you can never have too many earrings" principle. I'm starting to think I should add bracelets to that.

What incredible losses you are having, Jenny. At that rate you will be into single digits within a month. Soon you'll have some of those men hitting on you thinking you are someone they haven't met. Have a lovely restful week.
