Well DONE Ez... Conratulations.... Lets see you get to goal in record time...

Cindy thanks for the words of advise.. Yes we do have be vigilant and not be afraid to ask questions..

Two things I have changed are: My curry powder, I now have the "Clive of India" brand, and also I didn't realise until recently that we couldn't have the powdered form of Hermestes.. I have now switched to the tablets.. I actually think the tablets are better anyway, especially with yogurt.. just have to use a little hot water to dilute them first before adding them to the yogurt..

I am also not going to weigh myself until the 18th Mango Day! that is going to be hard because I am a serial weigher... I have never not weighed myself.. I am soooo hoping that I will be a sixties chick on Mango Day.....

Cheers all and have a good weekend.. Night shift beckons tonight and then SLEEP tomorrow..

Jeannie

Thanx Jeannie, I bet you will be surprised when you hop on the scales on the 18th.

All good and 100% with me. I even took my own food to the concert and drank water...so proud of myself.

I am proud of you too Ez

Love the new Avatar.. will hop over to the photo section to see if you have updated!

I am amazed at how we automatically do things without thinking.. eg hopping on the scales in the morning.. Had to really stop myself this morning.. Feeling really good though..

Hope you all had a great weekend..

I am going to try that Pen.. Good one.. I am actually liking the "Not Weighing".. Just going by the feel of my clothes and trying on the ones that don't quite fit to see how they are getting closer and closer to do up.. Thanks for the idea.. I found it was a habit and have had to stop myself just in time sometimes.. Had one foot on the scales once..

The Chromium is actually helping as well.. I am finding that being 100% is getting easier as the days go by..

hi people... thanks again Jeannie for organising the challenge...

Just wanted to point out something, I'm sure most of you might already know this but I just found out.. It seems the recommended max daily intake of chromium is 500mcg, and I've been taking 400mcg tables, however what i didn't know was that my multi vitamins have 200mcg of chromium too... meaning I've been having way too much chromium, could be the cause of my headaches....

Otherwise, alls good on my end, deviation free so far... going through cravings though, sigh, can't wait for them to go away, serves me right for deviating....

also, what brand omega 3 capsules is everyone taking? I'm going to go buy some tommorrow....

Ok I have a delema. This friday is my best friends 30th birthday and we haven't been out in years due to her controlling husband. So I had planned this before starting Cohen's and when I realised I decided to drink alcohol but not deviate food wise. I know this is still deviation, hence my problem. I know some of the hard care non-deviators would say don't do it.

Tiny Toon, I have Heron Fish Oil. If in doubt about your chromium, I would ask a naturapath.

I guess what you think is right for you is what matters here - basically you know that if you do deviate then you may have to go through detox and hunger and obviously loose time in weight loss BUT if you are happy to do that and don't mind staying on the program a week longer or so..then there isn't an issue. Again its whats right for you either way have fun with your friend!

Drexyl it maybe all the prior deviations coming back to haunt you... Because you are on the plan I wouldn't worry, when these things happen they are usually followed by a huge loss.. Hmmmmm can be frustrating though.. I was getting frustrated with fotohijinx while she was sticking to the plan (and believe me that is one chick who DOES STAY 100%) nothing was happening for weeks.. I think she holds the record for a stay on Plateau Island.. If you are drinking your water allowance it should be ok though..

Tiny toon I am almost out of my Fish Oil capsules so I will be interested in finding that one out as well.. Currently I am using Healtheries.. Thanks for asking.. I will have to check the Chromium levels, if any, on my other tablets as well..I dont know if that would be the cause of your headaches but let us know if they stop when you cut back the intake..

Hmmm Ez I agree with Hexi, be prepared for the ol tummy to pay you back! I have a similar dilema coming up on MANGO DAY night.. I am planning on meeting up with some friends who I havent worked with for a long time.. I don't drink so that is not the problem it is crackers, cheese and cakes.. I know I will be at my all time thinnest for about 15 yrs so I will be wearing something new & pretty tight to remind me of my new size and the fact that it isnt over yet, still have a way to go..

Asy and myself are working on something whereby we will all be issued with 3 special smilies or (something similar) so as if we deviate on the plan by a mistake or by something that is out of our control eg Cindys issue with the olive oil, then we can just forfeit that smiley but still stay in the challenge.. However if you use up the whole 3 in the fortnight then you will have to start over..

That is another thing you will have to consider Ez, because it is a planned deviation you will have to start over on the 18th.. Sorry..

OHhhh GOOD NEWS!

TRIPs will be joining us on the new round...

Welcome Trips

Have a Great Day everyone, and Congratulations on staying 100%

I'm so in the 100% zone and it feels so good.

I'm not sure we need the smileys - I think we can stick to the formula as is - it is only 2 weeks to wait to join in again.

Yeah we would wait until the next one starts Robbie.. the idea is to help us to be more vigilant with things that we say could be out of our control..

Wanna welcome LUSH as well in the next round..

Going well girls..

Hello All

Just checking in & catching up after freaking out when I couldn't find this thread - thanks to Jeannie for pointing me in the right direction.

I hadn't been online for a couple of days so I missed the name change & wondered what was going on when I couldn't find everyone!- I do like the new title btw, it is much more positive.

So, one week down & feeling good.

I put one a little weight with no deviations but that was hormonal - I always put on weight at that time of month.

Like what people have been saying about weighing once a fortnight, I'm going to do that too.

regards, Frannie

So exciting - been a week and more of 100% - even with TOM. So I'm half way towards a mango.

My routine is back in motion.

Well done girls..

To be honest I am at the point where I am finding it hard.. I am STARVING, bored with the choices, thinking about eating the cardboard off the packages (except I would not be 100% Cohen) I LOVE my cheese so I have had all my cheese allowances in a row.. (to keep sane).I reckon I have gained 6 kilos with the cheese meals lately... (just kidding only 3 kilos) .....

I have chocolates coming out of my ears at work.. M&M's everywhere and LINDT chocolates.. *sigh* someone, somewhere hates me.. I know, I know, drink more water, (then I feel like a huge hippo about to leak water out of every possible orifice!!) Seriously thinking of upping the chromium tablets to a handful every 5 minutes !!!!....

I will get over it, and there is nothing anyone can say that I haven't told myself or told others.... *big sigh* off to bed with yet another jug of water... not game to sleep cos I just know the devil is wringing his hands with glee about all the cup cake, cheese cake dreams he has up his sleeve for me...

This is soooo not funny.....

Hi Jeannie, i have the stirring of some ramblings going on in my head, dont know if they will HELP but here goes to try anyway! On second thoughts, since they are more general about the discomfort of the 100% program is no worse than the discomfort we had BEFORE cohens, just a different form of DISCOMFORT perhaps i will put them in my own diary . Let me know if any of it resonates my love!

Hi, Jeannie. You need a big money box at work with a key held by someone else for your share of the chocolates. Drop them in for when you finish

Sorry to read that it's so difficult for you at the moment.

Hugs

AJ

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Thanks Hexi and AJ.... Here is a great thought for today.. (I got it off Tiny M's thread)

"What you eat in secret today, shows up in public tomorrow"... I love that one.. and so true...

Off to a working bee now.. taking an orange for morning tea and staying away from the scones jam and cream.....

Hope you don't have to work too hard, Jeannie, or those scones will look mighty irresistible.
