Umm, this is Cohens, darl - and you've almost shed a size already - so, don't be a stranger to your wardrobe, otherwise you might miss being able to fit in any "old faves" - as they'll be too big !!

If not tonight, do check out your wardrobe tomorrow - might be a nice surprise....

And me? I'm a tall skinny-ish bloke (BMI ~25.5) and have been this way forever, so I haven't faced (weight-wise) what you all have !!

Home today with bookkeeping, housework and cooking and weighing my chicken to freeze. Felt so wasted yesterday - dragged myself around. Had a busy day Tuesday and ended up doing alot of incidental exercise - about 1 1/2 hours of fast walking all together, so I think that was the problem. Better today, but trying not to get frustrated and anxious over all the work I'm trying to churn through.
Bought some fetta, so I'm going to give that soup a go for lunch today.

Better get moving....

will post again on sunday with some happy results I hope!

Wpw, another nice result - 1.4kg GONE. Nearly half way now. Rang the clinic, and had a chat to Suzanne. I'll go in just before refeed to go over it with her, and then when I've finished refeed, go back again for a "this is what you eat to maintain" with weights and stuff I suppose - not really sure, but it will be on laminated paper and I can put that on the fridge as a reminder. Wore one of my favorite skirts for maybe the last time - it's getting too big Might have a look at taking it in, just love the color...I think I'll have start to go though my humungous wardrobe, and sort the "fits", "too smalls" and "too bigs"...don't want to have the 'I've got nothing to wear' despair, when I most likely have, I just haven't found it!! Lost a few cms' this week too - 6.5, but none off my hips - I'm sure I'll have a lovely surprise next week though - it's happened before, but I'm not worried, cos I lost several the next time I measured. Trying not to chop at the bit...'THIS TOO WILL PASS"

HAVE A FAB WEEK EVERYONE

Lesley

Where did that week go? Can't believe it's sunday already. have had hardly any time for anything apart from work (home and paid) since Wednesday. Bombed out badly this weekend....my own fault, as McPsych says, it's a choice. so I chose to eat when we were shouted out to dinner. I was happy about 2 things, I drank heaps of water, had a few sips of wine, gave the rest to OH, and missed dessert. It could have been worse. But also better! Back on the horse Monday - 2 lunches all ready to go in the fridge, breaky veg chopped and weighed. My girlfriend is starting her program again on Monday too. Tried on some clothes over the weekend, and very happy to find some pants, jeans and skirts that now fit! don't feel like I deserve them now...However, I can do this, I WANT to do this, I WILL DO THIS. So it's back to fat slashing! Take that!

onward and downward!

Wow, I really can't believe I lost 2.1 this week - just amazing. I'm feel like I'm leaping and bounding down the slide! at this rate, I'll be refeeding end of September. I have to say, I feel a bit edgy sometimes - never felt like this before (previous 2 times) but I didn't get these results! 1kg a week was the norm. I've lost 9kg in 6 weeks. Eating fish 5 days a week and not usually having cheese - maybe once a week is probably helping. Told the OH this morning, and he said "I thought you were supposed to lose only 1 kg a week" as if I'd done something wrong - lol! I'm just happy I'm shrinking.

ok, see ya next week if not before...

Thanks Andrea - you're powering down that slide, and I know that smile of your is going to get wider and wider I've been thinking about life after, and have been reading the treads on maintenance - getting myself ready mentally for what life will mean food wise. I want to keep my big smile!

had a peek weigh today - 'official' weigh and measure tomorrow. I'm a 62 girl now! Very happy about that. Have been very stressed the last few days, and am still feeling testy. trying to relax a bit today, and forget about the things I don't want to do that I will have to....Family and friends are off overseas on Monday, and by the time they get back i should be about to refeed - my friend is a cohenite too, so she's been extra supportive

hope everyone had a great week, with a fantastic result...

Well, the official weigh wasn't overly exciting, but the measure was pretty good - 6cm. Tried on some nice jeans that haven't fitted in a long time, and they fit now! big in the waist, but thats normal for me. Saw some other old favorites, but didn't have time to try them on. Finally getting into my other clothes (the skinny me ones) and it's very nice to be getting back there. Survived choc chip and peanut butter biscuits that junior burger made today. Went outside and did some pruning in the sunshine (with lots of clothes on, so I didn't get cold), then when I came in put those things away in a tin. Just trying to keep things calm and quiet. Getting a bit worried about how I'll go closer to refeed - I get a bit anxious coming up for snack or meal times, and am worried I'll do something silly. Have to keep thinking about my clothes, and how nice it will be to fit into them again....

have a great week everyone

Hey lesley, thought I would drop in. How exciting that you are getting into all those clothes. I am just starting to get to the stage where I might consider even trying on my next size down pants. Not long and you'll be on refeed - how fab will that be! Hope you are having a great week. I had a bomb day yesterday but have come back today feeling loads better. It's definitely a rollercoaster isn't it?!

Cheers, Annie

Hi Andrea, Annie and Alana thanks for dropping into my diary. Yair, it is a roller coaster, but there will always be challenges...read recently that french women don't get fat (I have the book also ) bec. they won't let themselves get fat - they weigh regularly, and if they are up a kilo, they immediately do something about it - eat less, exercise more etc. Good thoughts for maintenance...it's easier to move a kg than 2 or 5 or ...just don't go there!
Trying to pace myself today - have heaps to do and not much time to do it in -like most women getting the water down, about to have a snack, which I'll make sure I sit down to eat, more water then get to work on the computer, then get into the house work and cooking...kids are munching their way though the food temptations - biscuits, fruit buns and banana cake...made it the other night, and I was SSSSOOOOOO tempted to have a crumb as I was cutting it up - good time to count to 10! Just have to remember that little trick. So I gave the bits to the other half, wiped up the crumbs into the compose, and threw the knives etc into the wash water...phew, that was close! Onward and downward....
Am tempted to find my skinny pants (the goal weight ones) and just see how tight they are...and let them sit in the wardrobe UNTIL THEY FIT!! yay! ha ha

have a great week everyone

Thanks M & N and Missy - yair, I can hardly believe it myself! Soooo different to last two times, but the forum has been a major reason for my success - if I'd had to go it "alone", like the last two times, I would have failed for sure. So THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP EVERYONE! And thanks Missy for being brave and coming back to lose weight - it's hard, well, that's how I've found it, but at least we're not alone first time around it was so easy! almost felt guilty... These last two times I feel like I'm earning my stripes, but I just hope I remember to not let things get out of control before I do something about it....and end up starting the race again. I need to work out where I need to change my thinking (reading Beck Diet Solution) and I'm trying to think about my life in maintenance, what things will have to be a habit (like seeing chocolate as a 'red light' food...) and figuring out what is worth paying the 'price' for and what isn't. I know one thing that won't, and that is scones ha ha
yes Missy, I'm at springvale - using my old program (200 so I'll be seeing suzanne to go through refeed and maintenance. She's such an inspiration - like so many others on the forum who've had alot to lose - and have/are sticking with it ! I almost feel like I'm a cheat, cos I don't have much to lose...
having said that, I'm enjoying my new/old clothes - like visiting old friends ha ha!
M & N - I updated today (usually do it sunday with my 'official' weigh and measure) but I've joined the 10kg or less club, so I updated today - and noticed you'd done the same. You are going great, you must be tiny!

have a fab week everyone, and just zip down those slides,

Lesley

Well, I've had a few splinters lately....arggh! bombed out today - feeling very frustrated and tired with work and other things - walked in the door, house a mess and junior burger had been at it again...baking...macadamia and choc biscuits....and i sucumbed. DUMB DUMB DUMB. so, it will be another 3 days before I'm 'clean' again...dammit! No mango either! stink! One good thing is I've kept up my water, and...I could have eaten more, but I didn't. Have to look for the silver lining in every cloud...
So, tomorrow is a new day - want to take out our youngest son for a special celebration - asked if he minded we go after I've finished refeed...so for his sake...I HAVE TO STICK WITH IT! The funny thing is I'm looking forward to eating more vegetables! salivating over eggplant and broccoli of all things! lol.

have a great week everyone, and lets ALL AVOID THE SPLINTERS while we zip down the ladder/bannister
