You are doing amazingly, not to mention inspiring me! Well done Tuti. Everyday you are getting closer and closer, you really don’t have long to go! I am also progressing well, am down to 80.1 this morning, so am
Happy with my progress. Week weigh in tomorrow, so hopefully I will finally be in the 70’s again. I just need to stay as focused as you. Really hoping I can be around 75 by the 14th of December!
Keep the momentum! You will definitely finish on top! Thank you for posting!

Thanks Hopetoshrink! You are so close too. We both know it works. It is just matter of letting the process work and hoping the time goes fast..haha. One thing I know is that Xmas comes up so quick only five weeks to go and by that time we will both probably be at least 5kgs down and you will only have 6kg to go!! Maybe less. And how good does it feel as your clothes get looser. Fitting in to my old favourite jeans feels so good haha.

Yesterday I had one of those tired and lethargic days and was thinking about food all day. But I lost 400g when I jumped on the scales this morning Today I have my energy back.

That is a brilliant lose! Your body was working hard to drop the 400g! Well done! I am so happy for you! I always tell myself, everyday is a day closer, and I cant afford any deviations, as it will just prolong the journey. I also lost 1 kg when I weighed this morning, explains all the trips to the loo! I can't believe its 5 weeks till Christmas, but as you say we will be so much happier this Christmas! We will be so much closer to refeed! I have a one day conference to get through and a work Christmas party, but I will persevere with making good choices. Good luck with your day today and enjoy the energy levels!

Good morning tuti

Hope you well. Awesome to be fitting into jeans that were tight. A priceless feeling indeed.

Does it make it easier or harder when you've been through the program before...expectations like before...

I am nearing the end of my sixth week. Still haven't weighed since week 3 but been deviation free. The scale doesn't always do wonders for my mood so thought it best I weigh when I feel a huge difference....at the moment I can see the fat on my hips...those last few kgs...first to come, last to go...

With only a few weeks left until the Christmas holidays I'm hoping to get to goal by then...time will tell

My food craze at the moment is fish kebabs....took it from one of the ladies diaries...keeps me full as hunger was a constant problem and they pretty tasty too. I find that the cheese meals that I love so much get me hungry very fast...And I've been swopping meals two and three a few times a week.

Hope to shrink...You doing fantastic as well....

Just curious....when weighing our meals...for e.g....fish...if I squeeze it pretty much I tend to get some water coming out and hence the weight is less....if I don't squeeze the weight is more but then I wonder if there's A lot of water in it....the perplexities of trying to weigh to the t.

That's all from me.

Wishing you all a super week ahead.

Lessthan10

Lessthan10 I think it makes it easier because I know it works and I did it so long ago. However I really
was at the end of my tether carrying that extra weight. I found it a struggle to to even tie my shoelaces as my stomach was getting so big. I had always worked hard not to have a big tummy coming into menopause but a couple of problems saw me gain probably 15kgs in one year.

Even when you have a reasonable small amount of weight to lose it can be a bit of a drag at times.

Last time I think it was my legs that were the last thing to lose weight. This time like you I think it will e my hips and stomach.

I love the cheese meals but try and have them every three days.

I think it is fair enough to squeeze the water out of the fish pretty much like tuna out of the tin..haha

Good luck with the scales. I should probably not weigh every day but I find I don't really worry about it as I know I will have to go through to maybe the end of February until I reach my goal.

I think the weight loss is a bit slower this time at 56 but I have still maintained around 1kg a week. Hope it stays that way.

Cheers

So I am in Week 7 and 8.2kg down. I seem to have a plateau of around 4 days and then lose weight over the next three days at this stage.

My measurements haven't come down much over the last couple of weeks but the scales have..go figure. Still need to lose centimetres from my stomach to get to healthy BMI.

I really hate going to the supermarket these days. I just grab what I need and get out of there. The choccies have this magnetic pull over me when I am there and I just have to rush past them to get to the vitaweets..haha. I am sort of glad that I will have to do this program for a lot longer than last time because even though I don't have cravings for sweet things my brain has other ideas. I haven't given in but I feel if I had a weak moment I would.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Hi Tuti and Lessthan10.

Keep going, you are both doing so well! I have been struggling mentally over the last three days, and I feel FREEZING cold, which doesn't help. I keep wishing for just a snack! So far I have managed to stay on the plan, but wish I did not feel so tempted!

The scale hasn't moved over these days, which also doesn't help. But Tuti I am hoping I am also going through a few days of no loss followed by a few days of losses. I too have had to come to terms with I having to go on until February.

Good luck to you both, hope you have a good rest of the week!

P.S. Squeezing the water is fair enough

I am struggling with the colder weather too. Where's summer?? I find I am more lethargic when we have a colder and cloudy day. If the sun is shining and it is over 20 I feel energetic.

Obviously our bodies are working harder to keep us warm when we are restricting our calories.

You are nearly half way there Hopetoshrink. I remember from last time that a lot of people found when they only had maybe 5kgs or so to go the weight actually came of quicker towards the end. It happened to me and I found it surprising as I thought it would be harder to lose those last few kilos.

Cheers

Into Week 8 now and just over 9kgs down. I am probably averaging around 900gms loss a week now.

My biggest measurement loss is my waist...yeah! Down 16cms and really noticeable now. I now measure 81cm so nearly back to the healthy range for the waist measurements of 80cm. So happy with that.

Today and tomorrow are hot ones here but I can easily fit into shorts and my legs don't look too disgusting..haha. I love how the cellulite disappears

Cheers

Good morning tuti

Some amazing losses there and cellulite going... My dream. It's those awesome losses that is so motivating.

I am currently on 55.6 kg. A meager 0.4 loss for this week so somewhat disappointed. Planning to do refeed at around 51/52. I've started weighing weekly now but knowing how slow I lose weight not sure how good that is. So it's 6.4 kgs in 7.5 weeks.

What are you planning on doing around Christmas? Sticking to plan?

Hope to shrink... How are you doing?

Been reading all the posts and just loving the heightened activity on the forum.

Take care

How frustrating for you Lessthan10. At least the scales are heading in the right direction.
Have you tried changing your meals around?

My son and his girlfriend are doing Xmas for the first time this year which is nice. I am planning to have a normal breakfast and dinner but for lunch I will have some of what they prepare. So that will probably be chicken or turkey and salad. I will just try and judge the portion.

Today my consultant sent a couple of recipes for xmas day and I might make the apple dessert and take it with me. I have told my son and he is all cool with it and there will be a few of us there so no-one will even notice. I will also take my lemonade or coke with me. I am really looking forward to it as I usually have to do Xmas every year.

So after completing 8 weeks I am 9.7kgs down which is pretty much half way to my bottom goal of 60kgs. And I am now in the 60's at 69.8. I had a loss of 1.1kg in the last week which I was very happy with.

I have lost a total of 56cm but my BMI is still at medium risk at 26.7. It is important to me to get that down to low risk particular at my age of 56. I am not on any medication and I don't want to be. I know a lot of people my age are on blood pressure tablets or statins etc but it is something I have always wanted to avoid. I wasn't doing a very good job of it in the last year..haha..but I am definitely back on the right track.

My menopause symptoms have virtually disappeared. I have plenty of energy, no aching or pains, I don't have to take sage tablets for hot flushes anymore. Gotta be happy with that

I am not doing a lot of strenuous exercise just walking and gardening etc. I probably should be doing more.
I intend to start reformer pilates when I finish so I can become more flexible and toned.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi Tuti.

Been so busy, and have not logged on, but WOW you have done sooooo well 10Kg!!! That is simply fantastic. Keep it up.

I have been dropping steadily, which I am really happy with. Friend had us over for lunch and said she would make roast chicken and loads of veggies, well the veggies, were peas, carrots, corn and parsnips.....everything I cant have. Regardless I had some chicken and some peas and carrots, and still lost the next day! Was so relieved! I think it was because I was still good on the other two meals.

Anyway, I will be checking in a bit more now. Have a Christmas party tomorrow, but will keep calm and have NO alcohol.

Well done again, you are doing so amazingly, such an inspirations!

Well Xmas done and dusted with no disastrous blow out. I had turkey and salad for lunch with one small potato instead of two crisp breads. The pavlova and chocolate cheese cake looked soooo good though but I just sipped on my lemonade and tried to ignore all the remarks about how good they were ..haha

Hope everyone had a great xmas without too much trouble. It is a tough time of year though.

My weight loss is definitely slowing down since I hit the 60's but I am feeling really good in myself so I am not too worried.

Cheers

Well only a 500gm loss this last week but down a few centimetres. My BMI is now in the healthy range after starting in the High risk range. Really happy with that as my health is really the main reason I wanted to lose the weight.I have lost around 30cm from around my waist which has made a huge difference to not only my clothes but they way I feel. It is nice to see a lean reflection in the shop windows rather than one that looks like I am nine months pregnant

I really want to bottle how I feel now. I feel happy, energetic and switched on 99% of the time. I rarely feel down or in a bad mood. We are fortunate to be having a fairly stress free time at the moment which also helps. We have had our fair share of sad and stressful events in our lives so it is really nice to enjoy this period. Touch wood..haha

Hope everyone is enjoying the festive season
