Thanks guys, i'm into my third week and have already had a derailment, but not with sugar, mine was with cheese and a doner kebab. However I am more determined than ever to become DF, I spent the day yesterday cooking up a weeks worth of Cohens recipe's and suggestions from the forum to help keep me that way. You guys certainly are an inspiration.

Hi SB,

Hehe, you are certainly on a roll !! I see you "bussing" here and there thru the forum. Seems the "On the Bus" post certainly has had an impact.

And, hey, if it puts a smile on your face, and lifts your spirits too, then that's a double bonus Milk those good feelings for all they're worth, Skinny - it's those feelings that will help to stay up when things sometimes get "blah".

Big hug for you, too - your enthusiam is lighting up this place

Koh

Goodness! Why did I miss such a wonderful entry before? Asy thanks so much for this thoughtful piece. Very visual in fact! I can see my windscreen being smashed through. I'll remember your tips

Koh puppy, thanks for bumping this up

What a great post! Makes you understand just how bad one tiny slip can be! The first few days are hard enough, DF is the way to go!
who want's to go through those first few days forever? Not me that's for sure!

What a great read and it will definately make me think twice if I ever decide to pop something non cohens in my mouth!
I'm so glad now I avoided the batch of double choc chip muffins my daughter and I made this morning ~ the smell nearly killed me and not to mention the melted chocolate that was all over my hands when I tried to remove them from the pan.
It took a hell of alot of will power not to lick my fingers, but I avoided temptation and got my 2 yr old to lick them before I did!

OMG! I just so relate to that scenario - a bus crash!!!
EXACTLY! Describes my experience just so well.
I am new here & redoing Cohen's after successfully shedding 28 kilos & keeping it off for almost 4 years.
Unfortunately, I have put most of that weight back on during 2010 & have only just now put the brakes on!
Wish I knew this before BUT at least it helps now.
cheers, Fem

thanks so much for that........have just had a bad week one bad eating day and then thinking i could get back on track the next day....well much harder than I thought, decided that a little lollie here and a wee bit of pasta there couldn't really hurt, but wow after reading that it is so true as in thats exactly what happens in terms of hunger, dizziness, tiredness etc. Thats it I am going to get back on track, get through the next couple of rough days again and hope that those cravings pass!

Cheers, Brownie

after deviating yesterday this was THE perfect read. No need to linger on what was, only time to focus on getting back on and enjoying the ride... thank you Asy. I'll definately be reading this every few days to keep fresh in my mind.

This is so great!!! I admit that I have not been 100% deviation free the past few weeks, with a meal here and there that is not part of my cohens program. Reading this has given me the motivation to get back on the bus! Thanks so much for sharing this.
