Hiya, I started Cohen's on the 22nd Feb 2008. I've been getting some great results even if I have been a at times with small deviations.
I have PCOS and would one day love to have another baby. I have 2 daughters, a 9 yr old and we lost a baby in pregnancy in 2005.
My goal is to get healthy, study nursing and hopefully get pregnant.
I'm in Geelong, Victoria, Australia.

Welcome, Erica. Another Geelong Cohenite. There are quite a number of us by now.

Have you found the other PCOS people on the forum. I don't remember them all, but check with ConnieK as she also has it.

Do start your own diary (if you have not already done so), and tell us your results. Congratulations, whatever they are.

Welcome, bitten. You've definitely come to the right place for help and support. And you've started the right way with 100% committed. Time to start your own diary and set up a ticker. No need to wait until you actually start.

I look forward to reading your journey over the coming months.

Hi all,

I've been informed that I'm not able to start with the Cohen's program as my blood test result shows that i might have fatty liver. I'm given a few options and i will like to seek your advice before making a decision.

1) To go for another program (PIK Life) that is meant for people with health issues and not able to go on Cohen. This is not a rapid weight loss program but will improve your health condition. Have any of you heard of this or know anybody who have tried this program before?

2) To get a refund of the payment less the blood test cost

3) To consult a doctor on the fatty liver and apply for Cohen again half a year later

Look forward to hearing your opinion...

Lost one,
Pinkey

Never heard of PIK Life. Did the Cohen's clinic recommend this ? I've never heard of a clinic offering an alternative diet programme.

Hiya Pinkey, taht's weird because a few years back I was told I had a fatty liver and most over weight people do. I was worried I wouldn't be able to do teh program but I wasn't told of the result of my first blood test, so I don't know if it is still fatty.

How disappointing for you, Pinky. I've never heard of PIK Life, but what about trying both 1 and 3?

That IS Bizarre,

I never heard of anyone not being able to do the programme because of a fatty liver, actually I know a LOT of people on the programme with fatty livers. How odd. Unless you mean it's an 'abnormal liver result' which *could be a fatty liver*. That might be the case...

Can't wait to hear what the PIK thing is, though. Very interested.

When I went to the presentation for Cohens, one of the men said he had a fatty liver and was told by the consultant that it would be no barrier to him doing the diet. I had never heard of it before.

hi all,

Thanks for all your warm response! I'm referred to this PIK life program by the cohen clinic in Singapore. I've done some read up on fatty liver and it appears that a rapid weight loss will do more damage to the liver which could be why i'm not allow to be a cohenite

I'll be visiting my family doctor to understand more on my condition and will most probaby request for a refund from cohen... I envy all of you who are on the program and moving towards a common goal ie a beautiful and health new you! Keep up the good work and I'll also buckup so that I can be one of the cohenite!

Cheers,
pinkey

gee pinkey-

i am sorry that you won't be starting the program yet. perhaps you can try again? have you been ill or had liver issues before? i hope not.

i got my blood results back today. they have been faxed to cohen. my dr. said there was nothing abnormal to her, nothing she would think red flagged anything. so i am keeping my fingers crossed that i'll be approved and be able to start ASAP.

so....the waiting continues. i am over the moon to have found such a superb and special program.
