Kaz said more than this - check out the rest in Kazzzar's Diary (another Cohens graduate) - but LISTEN to this bit:-

Take a bow everyone (and especially our forum creators - Asy and Lessfatty)!! I totally agree with with what Cait had to say:-

Quote:
This impact of this Forum is HUGE. I know there would be people out there doing Cohens without accessing this Forum but far out – how much harder that would be. It has blown my mind; the struggles, the bravery, the people, the phrases I’ve read… like ‘nothing tastes as good as slim feels’ and water being a ‘magic fat dissolver’; these things I repeat to myself during my days, and it’s so helpful and encouraging.
Ain't THAT the truth !! And good on you Cait for creating another gem,

Koh

Default Are you having trouble with YOUR scales??

Hi all,

Well, THIS ONE is quite a challenge for me. I'll do my best to present another gem (or ten) for you. It all started with our mate Debs who had been given a right old bollocking by her scales. Debs was out for the count, and feeling pretty awful about the harsh treatment. And then along came Pandora, GI Pandora, slow talking .. (no, enough already ) :-
http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=111802#post111802

Check out Deb's diary for the whole story (I can't fit in all of the well-wishers who stepped up to the plate for Debs - or this post would become the whole forum !! Suffice to say, MANY were supportive ...)

Debs then took a step back, and came back with another ton of gems - and all in one post. I have NO IDEA how to reproduce them all here for you, so maybe it's best to just provide the link and let you all enjoy "Deb's resurgence in all of its glory"

http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=111829#post111829

For those who are reliant on daily weighing, just beware how it could bring you undone. Fortunately Debs has learned that "this Cohens thing works the way it works" and that can include gains when you don't expect them.

If gains on the scales might derail you, heed Deb's words. She has just been hit big-time, but has come back stronger than ever. Spend some time reading those links - you may want to thank Pandora and Debs, a couple of gems, right here, right now on this forum,

Koh

A simple, but heartfelt, gem (well, two really - in the one paragraph) from Cassandra:-

Another new reader, and another gem - this one's from Penny (or "Ropemaha" on the forum):-

Quote:
this program feels like the answer to a question i didnt even know i was asking. i have had it in my head for a long time that i will drop this weight but it never occured to me the question of how. how will i drop this weight. up until now i have thought i just have to 'eat sensibly and exercise' and it will come off. of course when i did that it didnt come off so i gave up quick smart. i am not an idiot you know, why continue with something that isnt working? but it still didnt occur to me that i needed information on how to drop the weight. just thought the same old approach would work at some point. why is that. it just doesnt make sense.

thats why this will work and it will work for ever. its clear. no blurring. no working sometimes and not at others. its easy. god thats good

I agree Koh.... Penny this is a great post...

You know what the say... the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result!

With Cohens (and this forum) you are given the tools to drop the weight - and the know how to keep it off by re-educating yourself about the way to eat to live rather than live to eat... Plus seeing the results as quickly as we do helps to promote such a positive outlook that we become unstoppable!

Another gem, thanks to you. Some would have heard it before, but it still shines, doesn't it? For me, hearing it again makes me rethink things anyway - just in case I'm missing something in today's world. Thanks for sharing it.

Can I say, your avatar looks SO nice - no wonder so many girls say "nothing tastes better than being slim feels" - that is you in no time at all, yes?

Debs is always worthy of "good stuff" - this one struck me, as it seems to me to be so "left field" of weight loss. Then again, maybe it ISN'T left field, and is just another part of the whole journey. Whichever, here's Debs:-

I'm always so amazed that this programme is dealing with the emotional side so effectively....
Debs diary is always a good read - and there are many other great thoughts spread throughout the various diaries. Go check them out - and do feel free to post "gems" here that have turned on a light for you,

And now Penny (aka Ropemaha) after just a few weeks wants to share a message (my bold's) for new readers especially:-
Quote:
hey everyone,

five weeks ago i was in a size 18, sometimes 16 if i was lucky.
today i bought two pairs of pants (admittedly stretchy ones) and two cotton t's, size 14
....

for anyone out there who is just cruising the posts and considering joining, know this.
THIS PROGRAM WORKS AND IT WORKS WELL, AND QUICK TOO, REALLY QUICK

this is life changing stuff for me, i really know now i will get to refeed and way, way beyond.
i am euphoric.
Can't ask for better than that, eh Penny? And a great post - so helpful to others. Go, girl, you're a gem,

Wow, Hexi,

This just sounds SO FOCUSSED !!! And a new awareness perhaps? :-

Quote:
From the start of this Cohen's journey I had a 'safe goal' in my head....80 kilos and within days I realised this would be easy to acheive but for some reason wouldn't set my goals any further, I guess I wasn't ready to deal with it psychologically.

Well now I have written my new goals down which MAKES me focus on the END of this journey not a half a$@sed one at 80 kilos. Thats it - I have made a new commitment to myself and all of you lovely, supportive people out there....

*watch this space*
Hexi has only been here for a month or so - but what a journey - this is one determined lady. Check out Hexi's diary for the prologue - I get the feeling it's going to be really good,

Meagain produced this gem in her diary - I'm sure MANY can relate.....

Quote:
Today I was able to go to the park with my son and go on the slides and adventure playground for a whole hour. He said to me, 'Mummy I'm glad your my skinny Mummy, because we can have lots of fun now'. It made my day, and reminded me why I did the program.
No more to be said, is there? That quote says it ALL !!

Hi all,

It's been a while hey? But I noted so many asking about "will weight loss slow down as I get lower in weight?"

Hmmm - that's a VERY good question - and, even though everyone is different, I haven't seen anyone who is committed actually slow down. Yeah, some lose slower than others (but then, some could always run faster than others, or some could lift more than others, or .... you know what I mean - Valvoline!!)

Anyway, one prominent figure on here came to mind - and the post he finished up with is presented here:-
http://newyouforum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=108990&postcount=552

Note that there doesn't seem to be much evidence of "slowing down" in that set of figures. Was Baloo being totally deviation-free? Not in my recollection (mostly because of his job - but he did the best he could despite this). I think I recall he lost an average 6.8Kg per month (or was it 4 weeks).

For those who might be "chasing down" the losses of others who went before, there are many - and all different. Apart from "the usual suspects" (e.g. Asy, Kristine, LessFatty, LonnieCee, Brieziel, Peter 14.7, etc.) one that stood out for me was Anna. She almost disappeared from the forum because of work commitments. But she popped back in - and "Wow!!" - forget slowing down toward the end, this lass SPED UP !!!

http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=116775#post116775

I summarised Anna's journey with the link posted - so it's MY post you are reading. But I summed up around 7 pages of Anna's diary - feel free to check out Anna's whole diary though - it is interesting reading! And, yep, it shows she still has 7Kg to go - but she hasn't been around since early Dec - so it may already be over for her. But since I'd recalled her awesome later losses, I wanted to share this - losing more in month 3 and 4 than month 1 has almost got to be a first doesn't it?

So, there you go - a New Year 08 double gem for the New You forum (Thanks to Baloo and Anna) - will YOU slow down as you finish? Hmm - probably not, so long as you keep the faith, and stay away from the chips

Koh
