Well, I just got home from court, and the matter's been adjourned to a Full Trial in May... Oh Joy.

Still, the family report was in our favour, and hopefully the Independent Childrens Lawyer will side with us too...

Hoping for a date earlier than May...

Well, I have a problem.

It's called buying clothes.

I went shopping today and bought 1 T-Shirt, 3 Shirts and a pair of denim shorts.

Now, I had been looking for a pair of denim shorts for a while, the last pair I have are size 26... Um, just a liiiiiiiiitle too big now, these ones are a size 12. Yeah, they're just a tad tight, they go on, and do up, but too tight to wear yet, but they were on sale at Target...

The T-Shirt is for general wear, and is fine.

The three shirts are quite nice, my daughter's already stolen one of them, and wanted another, but I fought her for it, and I won.

I gotta stop buying clothes.

I really have enough (Thanks Brie!) but when I find something that FITS and doesn't come with tent poles I get very excited!

Asy ....

Did I read that right?

You bought .... SIZE 12 SHORTS!

What The?!?

SIZE 12! I am SPEECHLESS!

Is this the woman who was so morbidly obese that she was incapable to parent? Is this the woman who shall gracefully slide into Court in May wearing size 12 - or maybe, even, size 10!!!! and who shall say 'Yes, Your Honour, as you can see I am morbidly obese and not fit to be a parent' and who will then roll, helpless with laughter, on the floor of the Court?

Asy,. does your Mother know you have bought size 12? I remember your comment about the nice pair of size 14 pants in Hobart - well, they are too big for you now. What a shame!

Anyway, you still have 25 kilos to go. You may yet end up a size 8. Don't laugh, I could never imagine it for me, either, but here I am in size 8 (albeit with cute little 'love handles') 'cos the size 10 jeans are just a bit too slidey and feel as if they are falling all the time. Comfy, but annoying.

Glad you are enjoying buying clothes. Most of us only wear a few items across the course of the week, but it is still good to have some choices and lots of fun to be buying styles and colours which we would not have considered before.

Looking forward to the next exciting episode of the Incredible Shrinking Asy

Lotsa love

Kristine

Asy I am so pleased for you. I am amazed at the transformation I am going through so I can only think how stunned you must be buying a pair of size 12. Well deserved kudos to you

EDIT on the clothing size, I've just checked, the Jeans were a size 14, the tops are size 12. Still, I'm stoked. Won't be long before the jeans ARE a 12!

I've had a weigh in today, and I'm down to 97.45kg. Only 1.5 more kg to go and I'll have lost 70kg. That's pretty Darned cool (I think)!

I'm going down to Melbourne and Adelaide in March, to visit my Mum and one of my friends respectively, and Mum's throwing a "Ladies Luncheon" because she's been telling all her friends and 'the aunties' (there are lots of them) to see how much weight I've lost.

I was hoping to have lost another 6.5kg by the time I go, which is in just under 2 weeks, but I don't think that's a-gonna happen, so I'll have to be happy with 70kg down, not 75. Although I'll probably lose 5kg before I go, so 73.5kg isn't too shabby.

Here's a timeline/projection to my finish:

21/2/7 (Today) 97.5kg

7/3/7 (2 weeks) 93kg

21/3/7 (4 weeks) 88.5kg

4/4/7 (6 weeks) 84kg

18/4/7 (8 weeks) 79.5kg

2/5/7 (10 weeks) 75kg

SO:

I've allowed 4.5kg/f'night. That's about average of what I've been losing. So, that puts me on refeed at the end of April, roughly. And I gotta tellya, I CAN'T wait!

So, by the time I finish I'll have been on the programme roughly 9 months. Roughly a pregnancy. Only FAR less painful. AND I won't have to feed it for the next 20 years...

Although, I must admit, I'm still not quite sure where my 'end' will be, I'm not sure I'll get down to 75kg. I know it's the 'Cohen goal' thing, but I'm not sure I'll get there simply because I still (!) think it's too low for me. I'm thinking I'll probably end up more around 80kg, but I'll keep going till the hunger kicks in. If that's 80, fine, if it's 75, also fine. I'm not set in stone about where the end is.

I'm so thrilled with the programme it's insane. I want to shout it from the mountaintops.

Oh, speaking of my Mum, She, and a couple of her friends, have decided that I should enter one of those magazine competitions (that I didn't know about coz I don't read 'womens mags') to be 'slimmer of the year'. I told her to find one where the prize was a car and I'd think about it! hehe

Are you flying to Melbourne/Adelaide??? You might just find that the seats are wider than they used to be if you haven't flown for a while.

Double figures and below 100KG! It is a great feeling, for me it was a wonderful day when I saw 99.9KG on the scales.

Almost down 70KG wow that is the size my american mate, I wouldnt describe him as small, he is 180cm tall, slim without being thin! I certainly wouldnt want to lift him and carry him around day and night!

The next 22.5KG will be like a walk in the park on a spring day, smelling the flowers and enjoying the moments. It really does keep getting better.

How is your streached skin going, better or worse than expected? I was horrified to find some sagging skin on my inside thigh , I was just expecting it just on my tummy.

Went to the kids' school today, had a long chat with two of my favourite teachers ever. They were very surprised at how I looked. I told them all about the programme, and I just felt fantastic.

Spent the day putting together flat-pack furniture again...

It's day 3 in the furniture fiesta!

I'm managing a reno for my cousin-in-law and it's a student accom, so the house will be rented fully furnished. Gotta tellya it's a daunting thing when a huge truck pulls up and opens the back and it's FULL (and I mean FULL) of boxes. You know it's all flat-pack stuff ya gotta put together.

Oh joy.

I'm now the queen of the Allen key!

Still, we've put together 4 bedrooms, two lounge rooms and a study, so far. One bedroom and one lounge left. That's nothing compared to where we started. Then just half a day or so to do fiddly stuff (Gotta replace some architraving and re-fix a couple of doors, sand some wall patches, and patch up some paint... that sorta stuff). but I should get all that done tomorrow.

HUZZAH!

Then, tomorrow night I'm off to farmy for the weekend.

Some time in between I'll stop and breathe! (not sure when yet).

I bet since you've lost a person (70kg!) it's a lot easier to assemble flat pack furniture!

hehe, yeah, well, I could have used that extra person's hands today!

We've finished all the furniture at the reno house, thank goodness. Will have to go there on Monday and just tidy stuff up and put kitchen stuff away, that sort of thing... It'll all be 100% finished on monday, though! HOORAY

Then we're coming here (to my place) to put together my wardrobes.

I'm looking forward to having my clothes hanging up rather than in piles and tubs...

HI Asy,

just a total side note. I've been looking at your ticker but not really understanding what I was reading until I finally got the kg to pound conversion calculator out and holy Crap -sorry for my vulgarity - I was shocked!

That is so awesome how much you have lost and it just gives someone like me more mental inspiration - though I too would love to see some photos of ya.

Have you found though, that now that you are successful, you want to convince any of your overweight friends to this diet too? I want to do this all the time. But they look at me like I'm crazy when they see how I eat and think it's unhealthy - though for the life of me i don't understand why - I'm not starving. Sometimes I just want to shake them to knock some sense into them!

I guess though I sound like a reformed smoker to them and it may come off too preachy. Oh well.

Again, good luck and I can't wait to hear about more of your successes as I picture them to be mine soon.

hehe yeah, to help you out, it's just over 150lb, or 10.78 Stone.

I've previously spoken about being like a born-again-christian with regard to the Cohen system. I find myself telling people in shops about it. I carry a wad of the clinic's cards around with me and give them out after talking to people about the programme.

I've been told I should start carrying around a before photo.

I just might.

I'll post some here soon.

Juuuuuuust in case anyone misses me... Not likely, I know, but just in case...

I'll be away from Tuesday till the following Monday.

I may be online (very) sporadically from my Mum's place, but most likely not very much at all.

I'm going down to Melbourne till Friday, then over to Adelaide.

Catching up with family and friends, and christening my new goddaughter (who, funnilly enough, will then have two atheist godparents, poor kid), and hopefully catch up with my other goddaughter (who's *cough* 22yo)...

In Melbourne, my mum's organised a "Ladie's Lunch", she, and her BIG group of friends, have them every once in a while, but this one's all for me. Oh joy.

She's invited 12 ladies (some Aunties and some friends) around to see my new personage...

They're all either Polish or Russian (except one, who's married to a polish uncle), so, I know what I'll get... LOTS of asking and talking, etc, continual telling me how good it is, etc, but mostly, telling me I look so good now I can stop, and I need to JUST TASTE the cake...

I'm expecting it, I know what they're like, but I still think I"ll be taking the nurofen with me...

Asy what can I write.

Another milestone:!:

You seriously should go on ACA.

70 kg is a lot of weight that represents so much commitment, so little variations, so much patience. So many times saying No to cake.

I understand the dilema. Cake is celebration. But todays worls we eat cake like it is bread which is too often.

Go back 25 years, cake was a once a week deal. Made for a special Sunday lunch.

I am sure you can hang out.

BTW you are welcome to visit me in Woodend. Between Melbourne and Adelaide. Promise no cake.
