Thank you for that Kannadew

You have obviously done really well, looking at your weight loss, you are so close to your goal! I have been on programs before that have been very restricive and I have stuck to them 100% I have found by experience that if i deviate a tiny bit that is the worst thing I can do. Last time I was on a similar program I was losing and exercising heaps, but very disheartened that they were telling me I was losing muscle not fat. I notice this program actually discourages a high level of exercise and says that that will happen!
I have been using an old weight loss hypnosis tape to assist with getting my head in the right place to help with my motivation.

bless you too
Louise

Hi guys i would just like to say what an inspiration you all are to me!!!

i started cohens about 5 yrs ago and fell of the wagon and gained about 50kg, never completed refeeding, and am in the process of getting back on it. the preverbial penny dropped when i was shopping the other day and needed a size 26, i thought omg what has happened to me. im sick of not sleeping properly, slept like a baby when on program, being tired all the time, i could run thru a brick wall on program, and i want my daughter to look at me and be proud of her mum, not ashamed.

so thank you to each and everyone of you. you have inspired and reminded me how great you feel when you are on the program, and im going to complete it this time for myself and for all the kids on the playground who's parents kid themselves that its just baby fat and they'll grow out of it!!!

Default New and Excitingly Afraid

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum. I see quite a fair bit of activities here. I just wanna pen down my thoughts as I've started Cohen diet for about a week now.

I'm pretty happy to say that I've been disciplined for about a week (today is the 7th day to be exact). I've lost about 4kg so far but the weighing machine has kinda stopped moving after the 5th day . Well, I'm not so in a hurry to complain but really a bit afraid that the weight will get stuck here and not move any more. I've tried many slimming programmes and usually it just gets stuck here at this weight! So, I'm at this panicky move of 'Oh no! Not again!'...I truly hope that the machine will start moving soon so that I can be a little calmer.

All your weight loss is a huge motivation and inspiration for me. I hope I can show the world my before and after photos very very soon. 4kgs is no big deal but it is a start...cheerios

Hi FlaMie,

This is not uncommon at all. Many seem to hit "old resistance levels" that take a bit longer to break through. Not usually this soon, but hey, your resistance levels are where they are....

Hang tough, FlaMie, and stay off the scales for a week. Meantime, just be happy, eat your medicine, and BELIEVE that it is working while you simply live !!!

Stress can cruel any attempt to lose weight - so let's remove the stress in every possible way. Just be as happy as you can right through,

Hi Shaz,
I am about to start the program in a week. I have done many diets and am scared that this won't be any different.
I am 170cm and around 83 kilos. It made me confident that you lost that amount of weight in 2 months. Thats almost all I'd need to do.
Is it still working for you?

Exclamation Hi Dolly--

You seem to be about my size. I lost 46# and counting (almost 21 kilos) and will be going to refeed soon.

You are welcome to read my diary because I was thinking the same thing you were several months ago!

It works!! I am so happy I did this. I too tried so many diets and pills, etc. and yo-yo-ing was my 2nd job.

Close your eyes and believe and trust because it will work!!!!!!!!!

Default Is Cohen's really for me?

Hi Everyone,

It is amazing to see how all these people are so happy with this diet and the success that they have achieved. It's actually quite inspiring.

I have a 6 y.o and a 4 month old and need and want to lose my post birth weight. I need to lose approx. 12 kilos. I know compared to alot of you 12k doesn't seem like much but my question to you is: Is there anyone out there that has only needed to lose this much weight and if so is it lost as quick as they say?

I go back to work in mid May and am hoping to lose it by then .

I have a meeting tommorrow morning to pick up my food plan so any replies by than would be greatly appreciated. Also any questions i should ask?

Smile Im a newbie !!

HI everyone,

So nice to hear all these positive and inspirational weight loss success stories.
Im waiting on my program from Dr Cohen, should be arriving in the next few days and Im really excited and nervous at the same time.
I, like most people on here have been on every diet and every pill and quick fix weight loss program with no luck .. losing a bit of weight and then piling on triple.
Reductil, the appetite suppressant, was the last thing I tried, I did lose quite a bit of weight, but as soon as I stopped taking it, my appetite has gone through the roof, I just cant stop eating, so im hoping that the Cohens program will regulate this .. anyone in the same boat ?
I have ranged from a size 8 to a size 22 .. BIG TIME YOYO dieter. I have decided that Cohens is my last hope. If I fail (which i wont, positive thinking) I am destined to be fat ;(
I have about 30kg's to lose & Im hoping that I will have a beautiful story to tell, like all of you at the end of my journey.

Have a great week ..

Stela

Default No problems

I have had no problems whatsoever on the Cohen program. I have recommmended it to a few people and they too are losing weight. which is great.
I have tried nearly everything out there also and put it all back on but this programme doesn't leave you feeling hungry, moody, left out or any of the other emotions that seem to go hand in hand with losing weight.
Give it a go and you won't be disappointed.

cheers Jaayne

I'm new here. So surprised to find this forum through Google.

I'm in Singapore and have yet to visit the clinic. Learnt about this programme 3 years ago through my friend. Her colleague (who is a teacher) lost 20kg in 4 months. Unfortunately, I was apprehensive about this and didnt give it much thought. As such, I went through my wedding as a rather plump bride (70kg)

After the wedding in late 2007, I have since gained another 10kg. Am really looking my worst now, with bad hair & skin. Not to mention that I feel really tired and lazy all the time. My hormonal level is also not balanced according to my gynae and a chinese physician.

Last month, my sister mentioned this programme and shared that her colleague (also a teacher) just lost 18kg in 3 months. So here I am. I am turning 30yo this year, standing at only 163cm and weigh 80kg now. I hope to go down to 55kg or less (I weighed about 58kg when I was in the university, that was a good 10 years ago).

Is this an easy programme? I am so worried that I might not yield much results from it, after spending alot of money. Also, my husband and I are planning to have a baby in 1-2 years' time, can I still start on the programme? I am hesitant just thinking about this, what if I do manage to lose weight and then pile back everything through pregnancy?

HI Cedel

Sounds like you have a lot of motivation to do this programme. Easy? well that depends on you. Many people have been extremely successful and find they then have the skills to keep it off. Have a read through the forum. I found it gave me enough motivation to start and I am very pleased I did. Look at my ticker and you will see how much I have lost in just 5 months. I am feeling great.

Contact your clinic to arrange details and enjoy the journey.

Shanara

Hi Manisha,

There can be MANY reasons for that (i.e. not losing as much as others).

First off, each person is an inidividual and will react the way they do. That said though, there are other factors. Once I find the link I'm thinking of, I'll post it. Meantime, when you are reading through diaries, chose those of around the same age, and with roughly the same amount to lose as you, and you maybe won't be seeing too many "5Kgs lost in first week" after all.

In short, those with less to lose, lose less quickly!! THat's just one of many. Let me find that link,

Koh

Hi Manisha,

Click on this link - it should give you an idea why people lose weight at different rates

http://newyouforum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=226028&postcount=3

Keep in mind, too, it is not uncommon (when starting out) to "not get things quite right" - thus, you could be erring just by using grated cheese, or eating chicken legs instead of breast, wrong brand of mustard, etc. etc.

First though, check that link, and align yourself with the thoughts in there. Maybe it will answer your question - maybe not. Do come back again with another question if you need to.

Have you put in a Diary Request?

Koh
