Hi

4wks is up official weigh in 140.1kgs recorded.

The best thing I’ve noticed is now you can see all the digits on my signature lol whereas before they were all bunched up ahahaha - oh and 11.7kgs in the first month is awesome.

My pants are definately fitting better and the 4XL top I bought a couple days before starting actually zips up - it’s a bit snug around the stomach area still but it does up that’s definately a win, especially with winter kicking into gear.

I’ve not deviated and I’ve been patient and my goal the next 4 wks is to get out of the 140s then get closer to the 120s

Slowly but surely it will happen

Hi

I have a single child whose 23yrs old this year - yesterday he went clothes shopping for himself and thought he would buy his mummy a brand new hooded winter jacket. He bought a size 16 (bless his cotton socks). Now I’m no where near a size 16 yet and he kept saying I’ll take it back and get a bigger size (cause my arms went in and that’s where it stopped lol). I said no I want this exact one please, great incentive and thanked him.

I actually have specific outfits for specific sizes - MORE GOALS. It got added to my special size 16 outfit and he was very impressed by my choices. So even if that jacket doesn’t fit THIS winter it will definately for next winter - he was very supportive when I told him what I’m doing and very pleased for me, I love it when the family gets on board - and I promised the first person that will see me in my new jacket would be him!!!!

Hey Justa,

It’s nice when the kids give back isn’t it but I think you will have to change it if you want to wear it next winter - to a 12. It may seem light years away but it will go fast. The first time I did cohens I bought a lovely dress in 3 different sizes I loved it so much, and I only wore the largest once, the weight came off so fast I missed the others entirely sometimes it’s hard to see where we will be, but it’s really a short journey looking back from the end

Keep up the good work

Hey Connie

It sure is - he’s always giving but like most males doesn’t understand female sizing 😂 all good though.

I haven’t bought any new clothes these are just clothes I either didn’t quite make it to last time or only wore it once. I’m far too cheap to buy new clothes and prefer op shops, especially now as I shrink my clothing needs will and I’m not going to continuously buy lol I’ll wait till my tops float off me and my pants refuse to stay up

I’m enjoying this round 2 it seems to be a lot easier then the first time for some reason? Maybe it’s cause I’m not stressed about it? Maybe it’s because I know given time it’s going to happen?

Whatever ‘it’ is - long may it continue - small win today I can scratch ‘that spot’ on my back yippee!!!! I’m just waiting for an itch now lol

Hi

I’m suspect of my scales!! I couldn’t weigh in my usual spot today due to various obstacles in the way and so I moved the scales to another spot - stood on them and a completely random weight came up??

I’ve changed the battery so it’s not that, so I moved spots and another different number came up? I’m weighing on hard surfaces so I don’t get it? I might have to buy another scale and see what that says LOL.

It’s very mysterious - will update with the good or bad news once I can figure out what my weight actually is - might have to go to the drs office cause theirs is correct

Hi Justa,
Even with a hard floor, if there is the slightest bit of unevenness, the readings will be suss !!

Make sure that there is no wobble wherever you site the scales. Or go back to the old position, so that any error will be the same each time.

Hi,

Scales are actually fine - my brother and sister both work at different gyms and I used their scales and they were about the same as my scale and so since I started on these scales I’m going by what they say which is in line with the weight loss I was expecting for this next 4wks - so I’m happy.

I actually loathe expecting things to go a certain way because you could be let down and it’s really hard to motivate yourself if you are constantly expecting too much.

Speaking of expecting too much - I heard from my consultant for the first time since I started (currently on wk 5) and her email said the best mentor I could have was myself (true to a degree) - but I’m guessing that means don’t call me I’ll call you - so I’m going to email her back and remind her that she was suppose to be in touch with me every week for at least the first 4wks. As per the contract we have with each other and see what she says about that

This will not be a take my money and run programme

Hi

Sunday is my baking day - I like to bake on Sunday’s not sure why it just seems like such a lax day - chill out, bake and binge watch a tv series. I made muffins last week and they were gone before they even cooled down lol - that’s a sign of good baking ahaha.

I’m going to attempt to make pumpkin soup - not for myself but for the family and maybe some choc chunk cookies, I’m not tempted at all with the baking. I’m too far in ‘the zone’ now. I’ve got my youngest niece here and she doesn’t mind being my taste tester lol.

End of week 5, beginning of week 6 is on Wednesday - can’t wait

Hi

For some reason I was focused on the end weight yesterday - which is 61-64kgs? When I was 12 (which is the first time I was literally forced to weigh myself) I was 76kgs and that’s the lightest weight ever recorded in my lifetime. I try not to focus on the end goal although it’s in my face whenever I record my weight on the ‘my weight’ app - it seems (right now) a lifetime away. I take comfort where I can find it which is in the completed diaries of the 3? Females that have done it before me. I’ve already decided that I’m not paying for a new program cause I’m hoping that if I don’t make it ALL THE WAY in 12mths that I should only be a couple kgs off it?

And I’m not forking our another $1k for 2-5kgs that’s for sure - I try desperately not to think about that though and would prefer to take it day by day - I guess it’s mainly because of the lack of support so far from my clinic.

Happy to plod on by myself though - lucky I seem to have loads of faith this time round whereas the first time I needed to see proof every step of the way

I see a sense of calmness in your posts this time, Just. Whatever has happened, hold tight to it, 'cos it is doing you the world of good.

I witnessed Asy and Faithy shed huge amounts of weight each. They were both "on song" from start to finish, and, if my memory serves me correctly, they had both completed the Plan AND the Refeed in less than 12 months. Others might have taken a little longer, but these were often older females who had been big all of their lives and it took some more shifting. Both Asy and Faithy were both around 38 - 40 years of age.

We know that "new fat" moves much more quickly, thus those who are repeating Cohens may well find they are able to shed weight more easily the second time around. May it be so for you too, Just. Your attitude sounds great, and I suspect the reward for that good attitude will be to emulate those two, and be done with both Plan and Refeed before the year is out. Rock on Just.....

Hi

Thanks Koh - always a beacon of light in what seems an ever lasting tunnel.

Your right though - my mojo is high and continuously glowing!!! I had a small win yesterday - at work we have smart rooms, which are rooms with Skype pretty much and I hate them with a passion because - the seats in there have arms (MOST of them). When I go into one of these for a meeting I always scan the room for a seat with no arms. For some reason my employer believes in the ‘one size fits all’ mantra - which is not true in our workplace - and probably every workplace. Anyways the other larger lady in our team got it and I was gutted - meant that I would have to contend with a n armed chair. Sat down, expected the worst most uncomfortable meeting ever and fit like a glove lol.

In fact there was space between me and the arms??? Well I never........ most of that meeting I was sitting back sitting forward - to the other side they probably thought I needed to go toilet but I was enjoying the freedom of this chair ahahahaha - it’s the first time in 2yrs I didn’t have to squash myself into one of those chairs and sit uncomfortably for an hour or so - I didn’t even pay much attention to the content of the meeting. I was in my happy place -

Moral of the story - keep on keeping on - the rewards will sneak up on you

End of week 5 beginning of week 6 tomorrow yippee - another one done 100% DF

You already posted last month in the "Physical Changes" thread, and already it is time for an update from you (about chairs getting bigger !!)

And, here's another thread that holds a bit of comedy - save it for a coffee break (or ten - it is also a well-loved topic):-

Morning

First of all a moment to remember our ANZACs and the unselfish sacrifice they made for us.

End of week 5, beginning of week 6 for me and I’ve left the 150s & the 140s in my dust. Weight this morning is 137.9kgs so a loss of 2.2kgs for the week.

5wks has gone so quick and I’m glad I made the decision to come back onto the Cohen’s program and finally shift this weight - not shift but lose, never been so glad to see something leave, like the creepy uncle u see once in a blue moon at a family gathering - goodbye, sayonara, adios.

Thankfully no one has noticed and to be honest I don’t expect them too until around the 30kg mark I’m very good at hiding my body, mastered that over my lifetime and so I’m hoping to keep that going for a lot longer yet so I can concentrate on me. The pressure that comes with explaining iS too much for now. Lucky it’s winter so I can wear a poncho even ahahaha 🤔

Hi

Had possibly the worst sleep ever last night - and all I was worried about was my HGH levels - lol. I turned on my side and instantly knew it was a bad position to sleep in but stayed like that for about 5hrs and now I’m sore - good job. Another lesson on listening to your body - ah well only one thing for it I’ll have to go get a massage 😂

I had to get up early today to weigh out some meat cause I was too lazy to do it yesterday, regret that so bad.

Procrastination is not your friend - my pants are looking quite baggy but I’m still not going to buy new clothes or try a smaller size - I am leaving that until a 20kg loss or until they fall down whatever comes last - To be honest I know I’m losing I just don’t notice it yet I mean physically. In the mirror I still see day 1 so I don’t pay any attention to it lol - I feel really good though ! Positive and way more energetic. The things that use to be so hard are now too easy

OMG I just noticed I can almost zip up my work jacket 😳 - another thing that’s come up in stealth mode fwah!!!

Hi

So I have a ‘fat lady tshirts’ - all black non-sticky and stretched the the absolute max lol. Now the bloating has largely gone from my stomach my shirts look hilarious lol a gust of wind lifts it up - so to counter that I wear my jacket (which doesn’t zip up yet) but it’s a good and effective counter measure for now.

So glad I’m in the 130s again after so long - I noticed my security card doesn’t face me when I’m sitting down anymore and it sits flush with my desk - it means though that it gets jammed between my body and the desk a lot - strange problem to have but a good indication of where the weight is coming off.

Underwear drops below my bottom quite easily as well now LOL as long as my pants stay up I’m going to do zero about it😂

Hi

I’ve had to go up another notch with my watch it’s so annoying when it doesn’t sit right lol - and the charm bracelet I bought myself doesn’t sit properly either - small price to pay. The charm bracelet is my reward to myself and I put on one charm per 5kgs lost so it’s already got 2 on it and the third is just around the corner.

There’s so many pretty charms out there and they are cheap - it’s pretty much a constant reminder of what I’m doing as I’m not taking it off til I’ve reached goal. I have 87kgs total to lose so that’s 17 charms 😂. I might need another bracelet but I’m cool with that, I’m not really a jewellery type girl but am looking forward to filling it up

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend -

Just

Hi

So much for not liking photos - I just took a look at my phone and I’ve taken 35 photos of myself since I started 😂 considering this is only week6 that’s more selfies in 1.5mths then from the last 4yrs👍

There is method to my madness though - last time I made the mistake of taking about 10 photos over 33wks which in hindsight was not enough photographic evidence to keep myself accountable. I’ve learned from that mistake now and since I have no full length mirrors in my whole house - they are all taken at work lol. It’s so important - as a sutttle, accessible, personal and private reminder of where i began and the slow and steady progress i have made so far - even after 6wks I can SEE I’m way better off now and am super motivated to keep going. I actively try to find motivation in everything.

Roll on week 7 - I’m ready for you!!!

Hi Just,
Smart idea. A photograph says so much. And your comment about taking more photos put me in mind of probably the best photo sequence I can recall on here.

They were a photo-GRAPH created by SassyK. Take a look at what she did. It helped to motivate her all the way to goal. But she didn't start it until she was already well on her way - still, the final result is quite staggering.

http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4550

It is a long thread, but if you want to skip to the finale, go here:-
http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthr...231#post162231

She had a long way from start to finish too, and she also includes some "before" shots (after she reaches goal - I think reaching goal made her so proud of her achievement that she wanted to share the whole journey).

It was a joy tonight to check out her photo diary once more. I hope you gain an insight or two from it as well, Just.

Thanks Koh

I remember sassy from last time and I remember her diary forgot about the pics but just another motivating factor about this forum -

I was baking choc Chunk cookies yesterday for the family and it’s so easy to just lick ur fingers lol - I almost did it about 3x, and the house smelled so good after that baking I had to go for a walk. I wouldn’t of deviated and ploughed into the baking but the smell is so divine it’s cruel - pure cruelty. I keep telling myself this is not forever and that helps.

So life is starting to get in the way - I have a group booking at a Brazilian bbq restaurant in May and my best friends birthday in June and a party bus on Friday. On the one hand it’s lucky it’s winter cause the social calendar takes a bit of a break - thank goodness it’s oretty much one of the main reasons I started when I did - it’s colder, can put more layers on and hide - then in summer spread my new wings like a monarch 😂🦋

Off to work we go!! The start of another week

Just
