Re: Jessy Take 10
Hey NME
Yes, in it's heyday the Forum was exceptionally busy I don't think that fewer people are losing weight, but perhaps the Clinics are more active in their support My Gardenvale Clinic advertises on the Radio and regularly hold the Information Sessions. Perhaps people new to Cohen's just don't see the need for forum support, or prefer to read the forum - there is a huge body of posts on the board now - and lurk rather than contribute or ask open questions I am enjoying using the Ticker again and find that little tool rewards me as I progress along my weight loss journey Please continue to make posts when you can, it is always good to see new posts on the board Lotsa love Kristine |

Re: Jessy Take 10
I am on the road to nowhere...
So I better start somewhere right... Tonight at work I can feel my face is puffy ... my clothes tighter than usual.. I am praying No ... but I know the truth ... I have dropped the ball again... Get home I am going straight for the scales... 86.3 ... Man I have gone a big wrong turn ... 10 kg's in a few months... now that isn't cool... Days off beers and Domnios, snacks at work spring rolls dim sims and chips... I know where the ball has been dropped EVERWHERE LOL... So here I sit thinking of how am I going to harness freight train to weight gain back in... I even ate Cohens today .. a real 3 weighed out meals.. First thing I did after weighing myself was check my 2 scales against each other .. they where the same weight with a can of diet coke.. its me not them, its me !!!! I am going to have to get real about my issue... I find it takes so much effort to get back on the bus... But I have to ... I feel like a fish slapping around the back deck of a boat waiting to be put out of its misery .. Just one big lost cause... All the best everyone .. may tomorrow be on plan for us all looking for our Skinny again |

Re: Jessy Take 10
Take 10 / take 20 !!
I am back again !! this time to goal. Started at 84.1, down to 76.9 today hoorah .... I tried 2 weeks of the carnivore diet and LOVED it ... felt very satisfied but I ate too much. I need guide lines and weights to measure my food off. Telling me to eat until I am full well I can eat a lot of meat Definitely going to incorporate it again when I get back to goal as it really does cut all cravings out. finding the balance of the right amount of meat was depressing, too depressing. For now back to mini sized portions of Cohens. No guess work no surprises, just go through the motions. Estimate I should be back at goal around end of March start of April. No real reason not to be, I got through the festive season well and stayed on track. All the best everyone here is to 2021 |

Re: Jessy Take 10
Hey Jessy
Happy New Year! It appears that we are of the same mind - back into battle with this endless bulge! 1st January, 2020 I weighed in at 70.6 kilos 1st January, 2021 I weighed in at 76.7 kilos So that's what a year of House Arrest will do! My preferred weight is 65 - 67 kilos. I have 10 kilo to lose. So let us chum each other along on this always amazing and always interesting journey! I am debating about whether to start Monday 4th January or Monday 11th January. Having a companion for the duration makes it more attractive to start Monday 4th. OK, I shall stock up on Soda water and let's be having it! Lotsa love Kristine |

Re: Jessy Take 10
Hello there stranger, how have you been... ?
The start is always the hardest ... but honestly with Carnivore it cut all the crap and alcohol out for me which was awesome... slide into Cohens was fine but the size of my steak was so minuscule to what I had been enjoying LOL I look forward to the company I knew if someone posted more might join the conversation again, either way the goal is always the same regardless... Can't wait to feel my skinny again |

Re: Jessy Take 10
Hey Jessy
Thanks for the reply Yes, always good to have a travelling companion, even though this - like life, really, is a journey which must of necessity, be taken alone I have been going through my excel spreadsheets and quite surprised at the weight at successive New Year Days. Our imagination interprets the world the way we feel at the time - triumphant or despondent, we see what we want to see, believe what we want to believe, and disregard the rest! Right now, I don't 'feel' fat but I have the muffin top and I do look fat and now that yoga is open again, I look down and see the broad band of bulging waistline in the yoga pants and it is not a good look. Portion sizes are OK, the first three days are the adjustment days but with the compensation of quick results on the scales, after that it is plain sailing. I look forward to feeling smart (neat & tidy) again And yes, hopefully some other New You members who subscribe to you / my posts will join in and make a merry throng dancing along the beach to our goal weights! Lotsa Love Kristine |

Plodding along on plan no great hoorah moments yet ... been stressed my dog cut his carpel pad on the forearm and the vet took me to the cleaners to get it stitched up !!! Dog and I both got stitched up cost 1 K
Get through this little set back and hopefully the stress will drop along with the numbers on the scale. Here is to next week being clean and on track |

Re: Jessy Take 10
Oooooo-aaaah, Jessy - $1,000 for the Vet bill!
Well, that's what money is for, I guess, but it still comes as shock I have had to google Carpel Pad to know exactly what the injury may have involved. I had a customer last year with a special breed dog, and each month there would be Vet bills – eye surgery, some sort of heart treatment and a bill similar to yours for surgery, but he subscribed to PetPlan and I recall he sent me the remittance coupon when he got the full refund for the cost of the surgery. Accidents can certainly happen but perhaps pet insurance might be worth considering? However, there is no Weight Insurance, we have to do this all ourselves! I am gearing up for my start tomorrow and quite looking forward to it. I shall be glad of your company for the time we are together Hope you can do something relaxing today and relieve some of that stress! Lotsa love Kristine |

Re: Jessy Take 10
I took out pet insurance over the weekend my older dog is double any way would rather pay $120 a month that big lump sums!!
Scales slowly sliding down.. Ever so slow 76.6 and it just dawned on me that it will be middle of February maybe 6 weeks before i am back in the 60's. I better stay busy !! It feels like it is so easily and quickly gained and slow to loose Going to make sure my water is up today and get some cardio in. I have been paying around with HIIT, 25 minute sessions. It does seem to help and least mentally as I feel like I am actively trying to move the bulge. Patience grasshopper... Every 300g is a battle won, every Kg lost is a triumph. Just checked my BMI I am 9.5 kg's away from normal Wow My target goals is 74.8 , 71.9, 69.5 then 66.6 1.8 KG away from next goal !! that makes the journey a bit easier to swallow |
