How did you find the forum?

Whilst I wouldn't have a 'guys only forum' just the same as I wouldn't have a 'girls only forum'...

I'd be quite happy to split the diaries into a girls and guys diaries, though.

Might discuss that with the admins... See what we come up with.

My comment was more in jest, but there is no denying this forum is very female orientated. I think if the blokes either use the gender option in the profile, or develop a secret handshake, we should be ok.

Then again, an open forum, that is not restricted in any way, allowing men to talk more specifically about male issues on Cohens, might not be a bad idea.

I first found out about this forum from a friend, who also told me about the program. When I went for my first clinic appointment I was also told about the forum.

I was actually trying to find BAD things about Cohens...to try and get a balanced perspective as all I had seen was wonderful stories!

Other: There is a Cohen's group on facebook and I asked one of the girls there the address for the forum that was mentioned.

Hi Asy

If I remember correctly you pm or emailed me advising of the new site and inviting me to join, which I did on 30th November, 2006

So 'a Friend told me about it!'

The other site, over at www.weight-loss.fitness.com/cohens-lifestyle seemed to have run into problems with people on other programs interfering with the dedicated Cohen's forum and at times it became quite unpleasant. Shame, but that's how it was.

The New You Forum, being exclusively for people on the Cohen's program, means that people can just focus and get on with doing what we are all here to do - lose weight and support each other on this specific program.


I learned of the other site because PennyK and lessfatty told me about that one.


And a lot of people heard about Cohen's when I kept my Investment in Reduction diary on Somersoft, but that's about the program rather than about this Forum.


So more than a year now, and wow! look how it's grown!

I heard about Cohen's and wanted to know how it works or even hear some opinions about it and searched for it in the internet and through that I came across this forum and read through some posts and HERE I AM - doing Cohen's now since 10 December.
