Hi Baloo... Well Done with all the work!! In regards to the photos... I can click on SMS's link and go to his photos but if I go to the photos page I cant find the same thread. I also cant find any photo threads older than mine or Faithy. Like I cant find Asy or Peter or Lonnicee or anyone else before then... there seems to be only 2 pages of Photo threads....? I hope that makes some sense?...

Thanks again for all your hard work!

Blessya

I'm not sure what the problem is. I can go back 5 pages and see Kristine's photos, the first I see, from May 07.

Here's lessfatty's photos that I found on the last page..

It's the same with me. I can see it from your link baloo, but not from the forum itself.

However a work-around is to just do a bump post in Baloo link and it will put the thread back into the visible portion of the Forum. Maybe there is date filter enabled. I notice that we can set in the UserCP somewhere a cutoff point. Maybe baloo can check and see if the permission there are set that way.

I'll bump LF's now as well.

OK, I see the problem now, let me jump in and have a look.

OK, sorted. It should be fixed now.

Yep, but did you by chance set a default on the view forums at the bottom? All the threads are suddenly coming up by title (alphabetised) rather than from earliers posts first. I can change the method at the bottom but I'm wondering how all of a sudden all the thread are doing it? Was it that way when you logged in as a mortal?

All of the Admin & Mods Boards; All the Cohen Program Boards,
Still a couple of the Diary Boards; all the community chat boards.

I am setting mine as I go. It seems that the s/ware is recognizing my sort order after I change it and close the browser and reopen it. By for some reason all the sort orders were changed at the same time across the whole site.

It appears that when I logged on today (this morning Perth time 630), all posts from yesterday are shown as 'today'. When does is click over?

For questions like this, try the FAQ (link above in the menu bar under FAQ)

Here's the answer from the FAQ

http://newyouforum.com/forum/faq.php...l&titlesonly=0

In the backend, we have setup Option 3:
Quote:
This option controls how threads and forums are marked as read.
  1. Inactivity/Cookie Based - once a user has been inactive for a certain amount of time (the value of the session timeout option) all threads and forums are considered read. Individual threads are marked as read within a session via cookies.

This option is how all versions of vBulletin before 3.5 functioned.
  2. Database (no automatic forum marking) - this option uses the database to store thread and forum read times. This allows accurate read markers to be kept indefinitely. However, in order for a forum to be marked read when all threads are read, the user must view the list of threads for that forum.

This option is more space and processor intensive than inactivity-based marking.
  3. Database (automatic forum marking) - this option is the same as a previous option, but forums are automatically marked as read when the last new thread is read.

This is the most usable option for end users, but most processor intensive.

The other thing is, Katrin, have you re-set the time to the correct zone? If not, it'll still be on GMT, which at 6am would equate to about 10pm GMT, or 'still yesterday'.

Note, "Today" is a relative term meaning 24hours I think.

UPDATE: Katrin, you DID have your setting to GMT. I've reset it for you and it's now on Perth Time. You shouldn't have the phase shift problem anymore

Although, if Baloo is right (as usual) then that won't be the answer but at least your time will be right

I can't seem to figure out how to add the smilies. They aren't showing up like they used to.

If you are using the Quick Reply box at the bottom, no smilies are on display to click, though you can use the smilie codes like : ) =

To see the clickable smilies, and a lot more editing features, click the button when replying.

If you can't see the smilies in the full reply editing page, then read THIS THREAD by Kohinoor

Default I don't understand...

I have been trying to post replies but the new software is signing me out or something and therefor not alowing me to post. It is also asking me to register which I tried to do and was told that I already exist. Don't really understand what's going on. Is this the sort of thing you wanted us to report??? Help.

AE.
