My NYF Diary
Default Re: Goal Weight

My goal weight this time is 55-58kg and I've set my personal goal smack in the middle at 56.5kg. I'm still getting my head around it but will try my hardest to get there. My sis is slightly taller than me and she is looked gorgeous at 58 before her last baby.

I can understand how incredulous anyone first time around feels though. My first time my goal was 56-59kg....when my consultant told me I basically said "no way, impossible" right out to her. I don't know what weight I was thinking of but having never been down there it seemed impossible to me. I told her I'd try for about 62-65 and if my body wanted to go further from there I'd let it.. The thing is, the more weight I lost, the more possible it seemed. I thought I'd be happy low 80's, until I got there. I thought I'd be happy mid 70's, until I got there. Then As I got closer to the 60's I felt more and more like it was possible. At 72kg I had to stop the programme due to pregnancy, but now I'm back and this time I didn't even question the weight range...still getting my head around the possibility of being down there but super excited to get there.

Sorry about the essay...

Not at all bee, don't say that, but I think a lot of people say that not really because they think they're going to look too skinny, but because people can't imagine that they're going to be able to get that low.......an I've found a little bit of trust goes a long way with the good doctor!!!!

My clinic told me 65kg, I nearly fell over! When I was 73kg, I looked really good, so it's kinda hard to imagine being nearly 10kg lighter than that

I have the same sentiments as most everyone here. I don't think I have ever achieved that weight (their computed target) even when I was still in High School. But just thinking about the possibilities of going down that low -- down to 46kg from my current 69.2kg -- I feel motivated already. I look to this forum for support so I can keep myself deviation-free. Good luck to us!

That's the spirit j2js...I like your approach...i don't ever remember being the weight that is my goal range either, but by heck I'm going to try to get there!

Welcome, by the way...I'm a working mother of 3 also and I'm at week 1 day 3 currently, although this is my second time around after having a baby. Hope detox is going ok for you. Have you started a diary? I'll pop on over and have a look.
Cheers.

Hi j2js.
Since actually getting a new programme I'm finding 2nd time great. Really getting into the swing now (and it's actually week 2 not 1 like I said..). I'm very happy today because the scales gave me some good news this morning...so in twelve days I've lost 3.4kg! That's maybe not as much as some but since I'm going from high eighties rather than well over one hundred I think that it's a rather good effort. I think those that have more to lose initially lose larger amounts. Anyway. You've day one under you belt so well done...the first few days aren't very nice with detox but you'll be in the groove before you know it!
Drop by my diary some time. It's still in the new diaries section.
Cheers.
Bee

Apparently my goal range is 83-86kg, I don't think I e. een that light since year 8, lol. If it is possible I'll be delighted, but I'd be happy to get to 95-100kg.... Time will tell I guess
