Hi Riccadonna and 2 Bees!
Well my story is that when I finished full time work ( and I think the set routine it gave me, and limited mealtimes) I "grazed", and had numerous coffee meetings with other mums etc
After having babies I bounced back to my pre baby weight, with breastfeeding.....I didn't even have to think about it. But about when the youngest was eight I was only working 3 days a week....I jumped up to my pregnancy weight (15 kg+) and stayed there. I'm not very tall but people don't realize how much I'm carrying in excess weight because it's everywhere , from my earlobes to my feet! ( seriously! I jumped up a shoe size, and even my clip on earrings pinch too much to wear...my rings are tight on my fingers....and now I'm 3 dress sizes larger too.)
I never even did the shopping without stopping for a "coffee break" ( something milky with a cake on the side)
Then I started working from home....well the snacking probably tripled!
Now both my children are out of home, and I can't use the excuse that I need to have all the snack food for them! My husband would like to slim down too, so he is always supportive ( I know that's not always the case with other Cohenites here)

Hi BB, I'm Day 13 now, but weigh-in isn't until Monday. Officially lost 4.1 (that was a 9 day weigh in), and still dropping (I'm one of those silly people who weigh every day tsk tsk).
My too-tight-to-wear-anymore-jeans" can now be taken off without undoing the dome and zip, and I've already grabbed a couple of size 14 jeans out of my "old clothes" box, still a bit snug, but two weeks ago I couldn't even do them up, so very quietly stoked.
First big challenge tomorrow nite, going out for dinner. Have googled the menu, chosen chicken salad, so will just have to try and guesstimate portion size. Fingers crossed!

Fantastic Riccadonna. According to your current ticker we have exactly the same amount to lose...21.6. How funny. I weigh tomorrow. Love jeans getting bigger too.

Hey guys sorry I haven't been to the forum lately I have an exam tomorrow and have been busy. So far so good, I have not deviated but is still struggling a lot I know it's still early days. I just can't remember how long it takes before the hunger and cravings go away. The only deviation I probably had tonight was not finishing my dinner as I felt like throwing up but other than that I've been keeping up with water and try to keep myself busy. I really need to take the time to have a look at the recipes as I'm already sick of what I'm eating and it hasn't even been a week lol. Anyways, how are you guys going and also, I really don't like youghurt but sometimes I can't be bothered preparing my breakfast while getting my 4 kids to school. What yoghurt do you eat? How are you guys going with your diet? Busybee how long did it take you to lose the 7 kilos? Anyways, talk soon guys, tomorrow I have more time after my exam. Take care xx

Silverbee. I find preparing ahead helps me with breakfast. I have a container in the fridge with boiled eggs (2 vitawheets, tomato &egg mix followed by half a fruit portion).
I also buy frozen mango cheeks ,measure your cohen portion, added to the plain yogurt, blended with 1/4 cup of diet lemonade.I blend this the night before, and I have a smoothie to take to work or grab on the run.
I also precook large field mushrooms and leave them in the fridge. I cover 2( or whatever is correct weight) and add cheese allowance sliced thinly over the top, and microwave for 1 min.top with cracked pepper. These are the 3 fastest breakfasts I do.

How is everyone?? Ricadonna you've done well! 4 kilos in just over a week!!! YOu inspired me to stick to the diet more hahaha..Aussueeater, thanks for that I might just do that. ANd your cheese with mushrooms sounds really yummy!!! I'll try that tomorrow!!!!I'm going to have to look at the recipes and take down notes. Today, was such a stressful day, normally I'd eat junk and all that to make me feel better. To make it worst I baked some jack potatoes with sour cream & bacon bits with it. BUT did not have even 1 piece. I'm so happy I did not break whew!

Hi SB, glad to hear that all is well..hunger has never really gone away for me...I've just learnt how to deal with it and space my snacks accordingly. The 7kilos was in 5 weeks. I'm now in week 6.

Hi all. Well I survived a mid year Christmas dinner last night. I'm sooooo happy with myself! I drank nothing but water all night. Not a sip of anything else.... I estimated the meat size/portion, and veggies......and had no potatoes, stuffing, sauces , peas, beans, shortbread, fruit mince pies, chocolates, or Xmas pudding, cream ,berries or brandy sauce......uuugh SO HARD.
I did eat 2 sashimi pieces, which mucks up the protein mixing ban. But I think I did really well otherwise.
A couple of people asked why I wasn't getting dessert.but apart from that, no one could have cared less! They were too busy having their own good time. I have my 2 week weigh tomorrow ( my scales) so I'll post how I've gone then. Good luck sticking with your meal plans everyone!

Hi, 3.6 kg down for the 2 weeks. I'm a bit sad things are a little slower in the second week, but it's a good loss. I'm hoping to get under 70kg this week...first goal!
How's everyone else?
Thanks for your comments Dezzy. I was really proud of myself ( and relieved).

Ditto on the comments re christmas dinner - well done! It's awful being around all that food, but also good knowing what you "would" have had in a previous time and knowing you were super strong in your convictions!
I missed my weigh-in this morning, as delightful child left the light on in the car and had a flat battery, so did a home weigh in, I think I lost 1.2 this week. I know what you mean about hoping for more, all that hard yakka, you expect heaps!
Have you done your measurements aussueeater? That was a real eye-opener for me.

Sue... 3.6kg in two weeks is incredible - its 1.8kg a week. What other diet would get you that sort of loss? And Ricca, even 1.2kg is amazing! Both of you are doing so well! Keep smiling and get all those happy hormones bouncing!!

Well done on your losses Sue and Ricca.

SB, yes I can see it and I've just started wearing my next size down work pants...sick of baggy jeans so I've retired a pair of them too.

I've been actively avoiding the scales this week and hope to until Friday which will mark the start of week 7 for me...I don't think that I'll make my next goal which is still just under 3 kilos away, but I'll get closer at least!

I've been a bit hungry for the last couple of days but kept the rules and am just plodding along...

Keep up the good work everyone...
Bee.

Thanks all......feeling blah today. I've decided I'll pamper myself after work with a pedicure and manicure ( at home) ....it's non fattening, and guaranteed to make me feel more attractive!!...and I might throw out some baggy clothes. Make room for the old ones I'm slowly fitting into.
I seem to shrink around the ribcage first, that annoying "roll" that looks like a second pair of boobs.......nice to see such a reduction. Where are you all noticing the inches shrinking?

Jaw and rib cage but mostly waist. My trousers are so loose around my waist I have to steal my hubbies belt to keep them up!

Bet your nails are looking good. Nice thing to do for yourself when you're feeling down!

Hi SBee

Dont panic yet... maybe the scales are different, different time of the day, different clothes, needing a toilet break. Lots of things that may be contributing to a different weight.

Wait until you can weigh on the clinic scales for more accuracy and dont let the numbers dictate how your day is going. If you have been following the plan you have to have lost more than a kilo - its a given!!

I agree with everything Dezzy said SB. Keep on keeping on as I keep telling myself.
Those scales could be different by up to a couple of kilos. Just keep at it...
when is weighday? Don't forget that a couple of inches = 5cm or more..that's huge!
Bee.
