Hi Becstar,

I hope your weigh in tomorrow goes well, I'm sure it will weigh day is so exciting and nerve racking isn't it? Good on you for not having the rock melon, lucky you realised in time. It is so strange to think that some fruits and veg are off limits I know but must be somethin' in it coz it sure works!

I think people notice the weight loss from our faces at first, in my case my bb's are going the fastest.........WHYYYYYYYYY??????????????? Oh well the rest will catch up.

Cool Pumped!

Woohoo, 12 days down and I have already lost 7.5 kilos. I am sticking to this down to the gram and it is paying off. I had my first dinner party last night and we all had to bring a plate. I made bacon and egg pie and a spinach and ricotta, pumkin pie thing but i also made a chicken and salad for myself. We had a three course meal. But not me no, I didnt even flinch when the pavlova filled with both dark and white chocolate came out. Everyone was amazed at my determination considering we were sitting at the table the entire time with the food pouring in. i am also proud to say I didn't even have a drop of alcohol. I had my diet softdrink, a special treat after i have been drinking so much water and lots of water too. I am determined to get under 115.1 now. My trick is to set myself goals of getting down to the next number. Even if it is 114.9 then it is still under 115.Who knows, the rate I am going I am prop already there lol.

That's a fantastic loss, Becstar. As Jenny says, it does slow down, but still better than anything else you've ever done.

Congratulations on holding out at the dinner party. That's the way to ensure that you get to your goal. If you read through diaries you will find so many who have given in under similar circumstances, then regretted it and warned others not to deviate. I have a piece of fruit for dessert in situations such as a dinner party. That way, I can skip the finger food and/or entree, eat main, then eat dessert.

Hey Becstar Bassmaster Wild thing Chicky!!!!! heh heh. I knew I would find you on here somewhere!!!!!! I am still spinning out bout our little find tonight!!

Just to fill you all in a little, Beck and I used to be neighbours and of course friends!!! We even combinedm our 30ths a hmmmm few years ago, yes I know Beck I am older than you dont remind me, Anyway a few years ago when Beckstar weighed a lot more then she does now, i dragged her kicking and screaming to a WW meeting (she said I cant do it). A few months down the track and about 35kg lighter I quit (still kicking myself) and she kept at it, she was an inspiration to all, talk about look fantastic this girl kicked butt and shed the kg, however a bit down the track and living life in the bush in a good paddock so to speak. Beckstar has let the kg catch back up (me too plus some). What I guess i am trying to say is Beck if anyone can do this and stick it out and achieve the end goal it is you, of that I have no doubt whatsever. U GO GIRL .

I am beside you again but this time I am NOT going to pull out and quit before the journey ends!!! I want to be there at finish line with you this time. I just keep picturing that big basket of inspiration you once gave me remember that. ....... Yep i guess I tucked a bit of that inspirtaion away and am using it now.

Lets do it, Lets stay PUMPED!!!!!

Love ya

Kat xxxxoooooo

hey there goffa, I knew you would find me first. What a spinout hey. My dear friend and I were having a catch up last night and she asked me how i was going with my weight. I debated wether or not to tell her or keep it a suprise until I next seen her. How funny, when I decided to tell her and she told me she, too had started. that's great. And then the offer of doing lunch. How cool to go have lunch with someone on the same programme. thank-you to EVERYONE for your support. It is overwhelming. it's great to chat on here with people who are in the same frame of mind without boring your friends and relatives. On Saturday i had my first cheese /salad. I love that Mozzerella cheese, mmmm. I am going to try another recipe today.

How fortunate for both of you that you have someone close to you doing this with you. Only another Cohenite finds this as fascinating as I do, so I'm sure you will be spending lots of hours talking about your diets and this forum.

Cool Pumped!

Well, a couple of weeks ago i bought some new pants only to find they were too small. They had about 10cms between each side of the zips. Today they not only fit, but they fit nicely. How cool is that. i tried to put a pic on my profile but to no avail. I am hoping Kathy will do it for me . I feel very impatient, I just want to see what my next weeks results are. But i guess I will just have to weight.lol. thank-you again for all your positive comments. it has been great. I cant wait till i really need support because I know you will all be there 100%.

That sounds like a really good cm loss for two weeks, Becstar. Isn't it a great feeling to see the losses?

I haven't had a chance to remeasure yet as the first time my friend did it and after a week when i did it i must of measured different places because i had lost 7cms of waist, one off my arm and put on one everywhere else.lol. I am going to go and see her on the weekend and get her to measure me. It should be big, because I am also wearing today my other shorts that no longer fitted pre cohens.

The same thing happened to me! I was thinking I must have measured different places... Oh well, I know for next week where it was now.

Congrats on the big losses Becstar! That is truly awesome!

When you start out, Becstar, and have a lot to lose, it's hard to be sure you put the tape in the same spot each time. I remember SMS saying that he wished he had dots tattooed at all the measuring spots.

To add your photo, click on User CP in the blue band at the top, then on Edit Avatar on the left, then upload your avatar photo.

Cool Pumped!!

Hey there all, just checking in. here i am just about completed three weeks and I am doing great. i haven't had a deviation yet, not even one teeny eeny little bit. I havent really been tempted but incase i do, my mantra is "its only 6 months" . Mum rended me yesterday that it is actually less than now. cool huh. Well i was was thinking last night about things i am going to look forward to when i am me again and thought,
i cant wait til'
  • the bathtowel actually goes around me again
  • the water from the bath goes down the plughole instead of making a pool behind me
  • i don't have to panic that i need to ask for an extended seatbelt on the plane or tht i can actually fit in the seat(notice how small they are making them these days)
  • my pants are looser and don't look like i got them from big w (know what i mean...)
  • go to any plastic chair without thinking that i am going to swallow it
  • swap clothes with my friends when we go out
  • actually feel comfortable going out
  • feel like a WOMAN again
t's been a long time since i wore makeup or got dressed up but i actually wore lipstic to uni the other day , so things are LOOKING UP as a ima goin down lol
Speaking of i am going to weigh myself on Monday and do a measure. I was going to do it earlier but my friend went away. i will let you know how I get on. Ps. Can someone pretend I am dumb AGIN and tell me how to write in my goals. I will go and have another look now actually, cheerio, until next time.

Cool Pumped!!

well i weighed in today and was very dissapointed. i know i shouldnt have been as i have still lost 2 1/2 kilos, but i am just used to seeing my other big losses. Reality has hit hard and i know that i will start losing alot slower now. Not that is is slower by all means, its just a shock. On the bright side i have not deviated once, despite my active social life and am looking forward to a new me. Funny thing happened tonight, my 12 yr old said "gee i cant wait til your off this diet" when i asked why he replied "because then if we dont want to eat something, you can finish it off like you normally do!" huh, as if lol. So on a positive note i have lost 10 and 1/2 kilos in three weeks, so I aint complaining woohhoooo
