This programme has many benefits, Andy. I see in so many diaries members recounting how different their lives are now. Good to see that you are one to benefit in more ways than just the weight loss.

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

I'll let ya slide on this one this time. But we always like to hear what's happin in your life so ya gotta keep us nosey ones updated more than once a week
Maybe we will be on refeed together you don't have that much farther to go either and you started wayyyyy later than me. But that's ok I think the longer we are on this diet the more we learn about what our bodies can and cannot handle. Along with the why's and how's to keep the weight off. Sometimes just being slim, trim and getting tons of compliments doesn't always keep us focused and then the weight comes back very quickly. So we need to figure out what works for us and what don't, being on this program a little longer helps us figure that out well I think anyway.
Have a good one Andy and ya 'Ya you are da Man'

Well today is a new week - and week 35 on its way - it only seems like yesterday really but I am so close to that 60 kg gone and soon to get under that 10kg to go - many many years and to be honest I really can not remember how long ago it has been for me - to be in that range of weights. I am starting to really enjoy my new flexibility in so many ways.

Old habits die hard though and I constantly find myself doing things in a way that was a cheat for being over weight way of doing things. Like sitting on the corner of a bed to get my socks on or going down a few steps to tie my laces etc - but now I can stand on one leg and put socks on and also tie my laces up just by bending over - feels so good and somewhat strange.

I was helping a friend set up a new computer and I had the 8 year old scurrying about with the cable ends under the desk - I would not have fitted under the desk not that long a go, but suddenly realized I now can with no problems reach under and over the back of a desk for cabling - and today I have been welding a new chook pen up and have constantly been amazed at how easy I can get up and down to weld and cut steel and then move around and do things that I just could not do previously.

It is such a great feeling of freedom and liberation in some ways - so very thankful for the almost second crack at life type thing.

Well I am off for a couple of weeks to the big smoke and to see my Mum at Caloundra - and to hopefully catch up with a few others in Brisbane. I am looking forward to the break away.

I do wish every one the success they desire and a speedy journey to their desired goals this week.

Stay true and focused

Andy

All good - at Caloundra and will go and see Bronwyn tomorrow - very tired and really feeling the running around and looking for stuff - shopping with my wife - as we do when we get near the shops - I am running out of energy very fast - but the scales have still a little way to go - hopefully the next few days will be a bit quieter and more rest - which will stabilise my metabolism more so - as it should be.

Will post again when I have more time and catch up on a few diary's and things soon.

All good

Andy

Well here I am this morning - I have started early so I can catch up on some posts - and I have re measured myself ................ and now to be honest and hopefully help someone else maybe ......... when I was fat and grotesque and all that and I say that as I really need to be fair dinkum and on the square about that fact ............ when completing any thing that had my height and weight details to add or write down I always added a little to my height and deducted from my weight ..............so now as I get back to normal I have just remeasured and I am really 174 .........so have adjusted my ticker and well the weight goal is now just that little bit closer than yesterday but the little kicker is that I have gone from 9.5 in shoe size to 8 so that altered it slightly by a couple of kg as well.......... but what's a couple of kg after 60 odd going down the gurgle hole or what ever happened to them. (Those fat bits) !!!!!!!!

I have also found an old friend ........... being cold ......... for years it has never worried me - even freezing winters ......... but I have been so cold that I have most days bought a new pullover top as I pass a Lifeline or St Vincent De Paul shop - and I also find in incredible the amount of variety and choice of everything I have and the also the fact that I can pick one that fits no trouble ............ from 5 xl or 6 xl shirts to M .......... and some of the M are too big .......... I actually have a choice and have to try them on ......... to see that a shirt is not too BIG........... O What A Feeling !!!!!!!!!! and with that I can now jump in the air as well !!!!!!!!!! .............. so if your reading this and struggling a little ......stop and look at what the end will bring....... to you and your new life. The few weeks of hard mental toughness and the "going with out" are so worth it ....... you just have to do it !!!!!

I also have found the new teas - the green tea with senna that you can buy at Woolworths .......... it is so good and a real favourite at the moment with me.

I have purchased a new caravan and intend to travel and get away from work more often so have been looking in all those sort of shops and again its so good to try things like camping chairs and laugh at the label that says "Not to exceed 120 kg" and try every chair they have .......... and I do it now ....... because I can .... and my bones need better padding ........ on the chair ....... before the fat did it for me. Such a great feeling and pleasure that just makes this whole few months ...... all 8 of them so very worth it.

I do hope every one is taking each day in their stride ............ and looking to the end ...... the big picture ......... not today's or yesterdays but the new tomorrow.

There is little point in yesterdays look of the world ........ but tomorrow is all yours for the taking........ go get it I say and be what you need to be.

Have a wonderful day and may you all prosper in you endeavours.

Andy

Hey Andy ..

Geezzz!!! Not long now hey .. You're doing sooo well..

I KNOW what you mean about sitting in those chairs.. I'm going through that with work at the moment with ladders.. I wasn't able to climb ladders before because I was always too heavy.. now it's like WOW..

or the other day sitting at a cafe on a wooden chair that had arms.. last time I sat at THAT cafe I had to squish myself in the seat & my fat rolled over the arms.. now there's room for me & one more ..

Sorry about the cold hey.. I went through that, but during re-feed it's not so bad.. layer upon layer was me every morning.. I think I'd have 4 or 5 layers of clothes on & I was still cold.. bleh..

Go for it Andy.. you're a champ

Hi there Andy,

SO glad youre back, your words of wisdom always ring so very true, you are truly inspirational. I am looking forward to the day I can shop anywhere for my clothing, instead of at Big W in the grandma section. I also relate to what Faithy say about sitting in them cafe chairs, I avoid cafes now because of it, and Im always paranoid that Ill break a chair, I cant wait till I am able to confidently sit on any chair in a public place and know that it wont break, and I will fit~! .. Andy Well done on being down 60kgs~!! Talk soon..

Cheers Barb ~!

Well you weigh 80KG. Thats a nice figure to be at/under

6KG to go, so looks like you can almost start the ticking the days off the May calendar for starting refeed! Has your weekly loss reduced now? mine was around 1.2~1.5/week in the last month.

I live in the center of one of the worlds biggest cities (Tokyo) with 20million people cramped into the same area as Melbourne (4million). From my perspective you already are living the good life "away from it all" ...no need for a caravan, I would be happy with your backyard and the BBQ (and a few VB's), yet I probably want to grill your chooks on the BBQ with some salt and sweet chilli sauce

Thanks LF - I like me bum nuts to much to eat the chooks and debs the old red hen is a hit with the other girls anyway she looks a tough around the comb - and I have a huge backyard in real terms ............but always want to look a bit further - I really feel for you living in that sardine tin place - I am at Caloundra and its getting jammed - I have to remember to stick to the left side of the road and not the middle and have to use the winking things on the ute !!!!!!!! every time I turn a corner ............. ah the bush has many splendours ........... but I love a look about and new country always make me feel young again ...........last frontier stuff I think ....too many westerns as a kid maybe !!!!!!!!

All good - had a good walk along the beach today and I am really ticking the last few weeks off - my weight has not slowed at all really as I have come down except on the 10 kg loss mark it seems to halt few days - the body re aligns and then the ticker slides - the last 10 kg slightly longer but the measurements moved really well - so over all it has been very consistent for me - 61kg in 35 weeks with16 in first 4 then a slowing for the rest but I am so over the moon with it.

I have ordered my re feed but will stick to the plan to the very end - have upped my vitamins a little and will most likely go back to the very good ones - but have not had a single sniffle, headache or sickness of any sort since day one - from a bout 24 headache tablets a week to zero - so very happy with that and the only problem been the muscles in my back - shrinking and realigning after years of struggling with a huge weight .......... so very very very happy.

And 100 % deviation free is the secret - to good efficient weight loss with out a doubt if you ask me

All good stuff no doubt and what a wonderful plan.........Santa's plan as Baloo would say !!!!!

Have a good one.

Andy

Hi Andy,
How exciting about you ordering your re feed!
You can join us "chicks" in the re feed thread

The back pain can be a sign you are close to your natural body weight
How are you sleeping, waking early- that is another sign.

Have a great weekend and well done

Thanks shell - just had a look at your eating plan and was thinking ------- "Me soon" so I am really conscious of it now - Yep I have been getting up earlier but started doing that weeks ago as I got fitter and fitter - but really not sleeping as well as I used to - not that it worries me as I have a million things to do so I really enjoy getting up and going and it gives me a little more time to catch up on the forum as well .......sometimes maybe!!!!

I am on holidays at Caloundra so will have a good weekend then on Sunday down to met the "girls" in Brisbane - then lunch with a few friends on Monday then the KD Lange concert Monday night then to Surfers @ Gold Coast on Tuesday with tickets in hand for Movie world Wednesday and who knows - just thinking that now that I can fit in a chair well I might even go to Dream world and try the rides there for Thursday or Friday ......... be a kid again for a bit now I can sit on them without the fear of over weighting them and slowing them down to much !!!!!

Then head back to the bush on Sunday via a friends place at Inglewood - she is in strife ------- waiting for a double lung transplant so will go that way most likely to wish her well as she waits for a donor to come up.

Should be back to Western Qld by the following week hopefully ............ this new life sure has me moving about ........ and so much better and easier .......

Will have a good one....... I am over the moon .......with my new life !!!!!
