Hi AJ, I also seem to be back in plateau mode - not any real losses! Like you I'm trying to play around with the foods, water, fruits, etc. Today I didn't have any of my crackers and only 1 of my fruit allowances... so we'll see what the scales bring tomorrow! I'll let you know.

Hope you have a fantastic weekend.

AJ, I've finally had the chance to catch up on your diary and I have to tell you there was no fiddling with the photo other than cropping the edges and making it smaller so I could post it, a challenge but after half an hour or so I finally managed it. So folks, she really is as lovely as she looks as well as a delight in person.

AJ you are doing a great job both on yourself and the forum. So much support and encouragement for the newies as well as a reminder to us oldies of what it is all about. I think todays quote on my daily calendar says a lot "Work harder on yourself than you do on the job - both you and the job will benefit" It is obvious that this is coming true for you. Looking forward to our next catch up and to your continued success on the plan. Congrats on the losses achieved thus far. Yep, even after refeed the journey continues.

Last winter I really felt the cold and suffered greatly right up to Sept/Oct. I had so many layers on I felt like the michellin man and still I was cold. At some point I think it was a state of mind and I had to change my way of thinking and I seemed to turn the corner on the 'feeling cold'. It does seem to be a common 'side effect' as we lose the kgs and our insulation but at some point the body has to adjust surely. Meanwhile, rug up if you need to and be kind to yourself. You (we) deserve it.

Lauren

Hi AJ...so sorry you are having a rough couple of days. You will most likely find a good weight loss when this plateau ends. Here is some fairy dust to help you along...

I tried to find the information on Celtic Salt on page 25 of your diary...but I can't seem to find it. If you get a chance can you copy it to me in a PM?

Thanks,

Cindy

Hi AJ

Sending you some of that magic Cohen dust to pick you up and help move you along! You are doing so well, and you are such an inspiration to all of us!
Thanks for all your encouraging posts and words of wisdom, they have certainly helped me!
I read your bit about the celtic salt and so I went out and got some yesterday!

Have a great Easter!

My NYF Diary
Default Re: Annabelle Joy's diary

Day 1, Week 11
Well, maybe not as good as I've just made it seem, but, firstly, I've moved down 300 gms this morning. My old scales showed a 300 gm fall from my previous low, the new ones a 300 gm increase. After a couple of retries, the new scales fell into line with the old ones, so definitely 300 gms down today Next, I did my measurements. All but one of my measurements is smaller, most by 1 to 1 1/2 cms (good for me). Losses on the main measurements equalled week 1's losses. I'm very happy today Weight hasn't been moving much lately, but, as they say, the cms drop away while the weight stays still. Also, I've now passed the 1/3 mark on my ticker I think I will need to revise my goal down a bit when I get nearer to it, but I'm leaving it where it is for the moment.

My cleaning lady arrived this morning (yes, Good Friday and she's working) dressed as Easter bunny and with eggs and chocolates for us. She's a lovely person. She knew I wouldn't eat anything, but the eggs came in china eggcups. Our son is coming down this afternoon for a couple of days so he can help with the eggs and chocolates. Lovely to have him here for a couple of days.

Thanks, Ang, Sharlene, Sharon, Annie, Lily, BFG, Lauren, Cindy and Vee for posting and for the encouragement. Do tell, Ang, how you get on with the extended tape (I haven't read your diary yet, it may already be there).

Lily, I know that this is better than any other diet, even though it's a bit slow at the moment. When I tell people I've lost 13 1/2 kg in 9 weeks they are astounded.

BFG, hope your cms are dropping away like mine at the moment.

Lauren, I'm expecting that I won't feel the cold when I get back to eating more. I think it's just the low calories. My husband turned the heater on the water bed up a bit for last night, and that certainly helped. For the second night in a row I slept really soundly.

Annie, and Cindy, I've PM'd you. For anyone else interested in Celtic salt, it's on page 25 in my diary, but Kay has posted it, not me.
Thanks for the dust, Ang, Sharon, Cindy and Vee. It's working today. Here's some back for everyone reading this

Have a lovely Easter everyone.

AJ

AJ,

You are right. You've had a rather "Good" Friday! Down 300 +down cm's equal to first week's size losses!

I think I've been on a plateau all week although showing a couple of losses as I really feel the shrinkage in my waist and my love handles are getting pretty floppy now, no more looking like muffin tops in the smaller sized waistbands but more like melted cheese overflow!

I'm just reassured that the shrinkage continues for up to 12 months after we finish the program. Your overall progress is still way, way above what was projected for both of us. Even if it was 13.5kg in 10 weeks it's still 5.7 kg/mo, a full 1.7 kg over their projections. Way to go!

Just to help keep up the momentum!

AJ so happy to read of your loss when I logged on this morning. You deserve it so much. Sometimes I think we get a bit spoilt with Cohens and all the rapid weight loss that we lose sight of what a good weight loss really is. You have proven that its working both in cm and kg and in the perspective of Cohen's - I think "slow and steady wins the race" applies to you. I KNOW you are going to get there and do the whole program properly which is going to give you keys to your whole life ahead of eating successfully. No crashing and burning for AJ (LOL)

love Lucee

Day 2, Week 11
Down another 400 gms today. That's 700 gms in two days, same as all of last week I shouldn't get too excited; it might be all I lose this week I can try to look for a reason. Perhaps it's that I've been sleeping much more soundly due to being warmer in bed. Now my husband's complaining that he's too hot when he gets into bed -- bad luck, I'm more important right now Perhaps it's just that I've passed this fat burning stage and am back to weight loss. Perhaps it's part of the cycle for me -- one or two good days then flat for several days. Anyway, my kilos has finally moved down one.

I've changed my ticker to show my weight as I'm getting so close to being an 80s girl I'll change back to goal when I pass that milestone.

My son arrived yesterday evening to stay for a couple of days. I've been getting advice from him on how this can't be healthy as it doesn't include any exercise; if I don't have enough energy for exercise it can't be good for me; after rapid weight loss I'll probably put it all back on; yada yada yada. Everyone's an expert on diet, weight loss and exercise, and they all want to tell me how to do it Oops, now that's not like me.

Thanks, SMS, Connie, Jeannie, Faithy and Lucee for posting, and everyone who's reading this for stopping by.

Thanks for the magic dust, SMS. It seems that it worked. I hope that I'm not counterbalancing you again today. Time we got back in sync and both started losing I love the melted cheese analogy. Tight tops just don't work for me right now for exactly that reason. The rate it's going down though, it won't be more than loose skin by the time I reach goal.

Thanks for the thought, Connie. If I can just keep pace with SMS I'll be happy. He's shot ahead a bit lately.

Thanks for the good wishes, Jeannie. It is a lovely Easter here; beautiful weather, our son's down for a couple of days, and mostly we won't be on the roads. Sounds like you also are having a lovely Easter.

My cleaning lady had painted on white whiskers and a nose, and had bunny ears, Faithy. She washed and took off her ears before she started cleaning. She's a happy soul, rather lonely and very chatty. She'd dressed up and gone around the various shops she visits regularly handing out eggs. I was sad to hear that the big one I gave her was the only one she received in return. I normally don't buy any eggs, but I knew she would bring something.

Yes, Lucee, this time I really am going to get to my goal, hopefully with no deliberate deviations.

Best wishes to all for a relaxed, happy and deviation free Easter.

AJ

Forgot to mention, yesterday I sat all day with the chocolate egg in the eggcup that my cleaning lady gave me right next to my water bottle, not even tempted once However, this morning, I did put the half empty bag of corn chips that my son left in the kitchen out of sight so I wouldn't see them every time I walked in. I haven't completely conquered it yet

Hi AJ

I think if we can get thru Easter with all its choccy we can get thru anything. Chocolate would have to be my downfall, but like you, I don't have the desire for it. Maybe dreaming about myself in a bikini this summer is stopping me - think not! But it will be nice to go to the beach without feeling absolutely awful. Thanks again for your encouragement!!

Hey AJ,

It funny how everyones an expert isn't it LOL. I am sure he is worried about the long term effects because it seems foreign to him, but the long term effects of the weight would be just as bad LOL

Congrats on the great drops so far this week, you are doing so well, especially with ignoring the egg and hiding the chips, must have been hard when you have had some rough losses.

Hope your Easter is proving to be a happy one

YAY AJ!! Some great losses there! I'm SO excited for you!
It's amazing how many diet experts there are out there. If we could just get them all together the rising rate of global obesity would definitely be a thing of the past
Wishing you another loss in the morning.
