Oh I love op-shopping too Rora, this may not be new information for everyone, I have a friend in Darwin who is a brand name junkie......... seriously!!!! If it's not from somewhere exclusive it's not in her cupboard, so when I lent out a dress I told her it came from one of my favourite little boutiques - Salvation!! I left the Army off the title (and for the record Di, I think you guys rock!). She has worn the dress a number of times since and loves it so one day I will reveal all............. but for now I will just snigger to myself and admire the dress that cost $4.99!!

And I introduced a couple of friends to St Vincenzo's over the weekend, how's that for an interesting girly hang out day, we went op-shop trawling!!! I can thoroughly recommend this as an alternative to other events, you can spend time together, try on all sorts of styles and really change your look up, get some great pieces and support a charity as well............ how can you beat that!!! the rule was that you had to try things on that other people picked out for you - this is great because you can't always see yourself in something different!

And the people who have joined the program after seeing my results are all doing so fabulously - we now have a very stunning building to walk into! You have to step carefully to avoid the dropped dress sizes, and the round robin of clothing - priceless!!! We even have designer labels changing hands regularly! If any of you are reading this you rock too!!!

Well progress, I am now into size 8 pants - which is great - a bit of a head spin but great and I still seem to pick up a dress whenever I go into an op-shop - UNREAL!!!!

Anyhoo, off to do some actual work - I know, I know, someone has to be sacrificed and today it's me!!!

And Bronnie - you will laugh, I emailed my symptoms (hungry, sore back, tiredness, inability to concentrate on anything other than food etc) to the clinic and they think I have a cold!!!!!!! And have requested a food diary for the next couple of days!!

Take care everyone and remember, life can be tough but you are tougher!!

Aaaaahhhhh success with the clinic - after assuring them that I do not have a cold and that I am perfectly well they have suggested that I take extra vitamins, up my water (hmmmmm that could take some doing from about 4l per day), keep a food diary so they can check it out, maybe another blood test if those things dont work and then be deviation free for 2 weeks prior to a blood test looking at refeed!

So the quest continues.

Hey there C-jaye!

Did you tell your clinic you were already drinking that much??? Judging by your ticker, you could consider dropping your water intake (the rough guide is 1L per 25kilos of body weight- though this is widely critized, it is still not a bad base point). You may be having too much, and watering down your nutrients...???! Just a thought. Some people need to add that special salt to their food/water to help some over-watering issues.

Hope everything is going well!

xoxo

Thanks Missy, in the Territory we need the extra 35+ every single day! But interestingly I have been craving salt!

Well today I did cut down on the water intake so we'll see how it all goes, that's the kicker I guess, there is less of me to hydrate and I didn't even think of it.

Sheesh.......

Honest, I dont know how you can drink 4lts a day, I would float. lol. Jsut went in the ARCee shop (sounds good) and bought a couple of skirts as I dont have any. One was $8 and denim, the other $6. Yep you gotta love that shop. Hope the weight starts coming off soon. The last 10kg must be the worse except if your a bloke. When you coming up?

Sooooooooo, after sporadic posting (but lots of reading) and continuous soul searching I am back!!! I have so much to update everyone on but for now I will keep it short.

Well after advising others to re-read their diaries during their journey's I did the same thing, and 24 weeks on I must say I finally get it. I have changed my lifestyle! Not to much of a revelation to those who have travelled this road, and not really to me but cathartic to put down in print.

So to all who are on the path or about to start out, take it on 100%, embrace it 100% and live it 100% and it will reward you 100%.

So more later on!

Hey, Caro,

Great to see you back, kiddo !! Did you get some Himalayan Salt? Or cut the water?

Of course, you are in the NT - so maybe 4l is not such a big deal.... I dunno.

Anyway, welcome back (and to me too, as I've been away for 9 days) - got back Sunday, thanks to Jetstar after Virgin let me down (along with 100,000 others, it seems... )

Carol I agree with you about the fact you have changed your lifestyle and the thing that I have come to realise is that even on maintenance I am actually at my happiest when I stick pretty closely to cohen friendly foods. Not only does it seem to control my weight better, but my body just feels better - which should tell me something!
You have done a fantastic job!

Hi Caro!

Good to have you back. Dig deep for these last couple of kg. They are definately the hardest.
Talking of turtles brings to mind the story of the tortoise and the hare..... Slow and steady wins the race!!!

Hmmmm the turtles that I know would hijack the hare and do nasty things meaning that the race would have to be cancelled and run at a later stage with possibly a replacement hare and turtles with clean criminal histories!

But I have cut down on the amount of water I have been drinking and keeping to about 3l per day which is not hard to do up here in the NT. I have spoken tot he clinic and will see how things pan out in the next couple of weeks but they are pretty sure I will be ordering refeed soon.

I have noticed that the weight loss has really slowed (even stopped) the last 4 weeks, and I'm thinking its a combination of things; not sleeping properly, workload, being too busy and getting a little disorganised in my food prep! So what to do about that.....................

REFOCUS!

Get back to pre-weighing my proteins and having them in the freezer two weeks ahead; a friend has hers in different coloured snap lock bags - one for Meal 2 and one for Meal 3 - brilliant!!!

Reinstigate the pre-made salad mix; not that salad is hard but I have gotten uninspired and a little boring!!!!!!

Get a new lunchbox - because it's all about the lunchbox!!

Talk to those people who inspire me!!!!

Read more forum diaries!!!!!!!!

So more later, this weekend is refocus weekend!!!
