Jo,
I am sure once you have done your refeed program you will be self=assured that you CAN carry on without putting on weight and reverting back to the old ways.

I have every confidence in you Jo to succeed, now it is up to you to prove me right.

Michele

Hi Jo,

LOL - I love your sense of humour

Re Maintenance, just take it slow and careful and you'll be cool !! Keep in mind that one new meal can take TWO days to show up as a "problem meal" for you. Just don't introduce too much too quickly - like in refeed, you really WANT to isolate "problem foods for you". But you won't be starving, and you won't be adding Kg's per week if you go softly softly.

Have a read of the Maintenance Diaries (specially those who have finished for some time).

As many have said, "I like the structure of being told what to eat, and how much". If that is you too, there's nothing to stop you from creating your own structure - it might be "eat Cohen friendly through the week, but allow a treat on Sat night" or something like that.

In the end, Maintenance does give you the tools to set things right - so step out with pride and confidence - just take small steps....

You'll be fine, Jo,

Hugs,

Koh

Greetings all

Since I can't start my refeed diary (technical probs) I decided to finish this one off for good. I did some measurements this morning, why not??

Measurements on Start - Measurements today

Arms 36.5cm - 27.5cm
Bust/Chest 114cm -95cm
Waist 101cm -75cm
Hips 125cm -96cm
Thighs 70cm -55cm

Total 446.5cm -348.5cm

Total Loss 98cm (that's if I only count 1 arm and 1 leg )

I am surprised at you guys, thrilled but surprised. You have the faith in me that I certainly don't have. Michele and Jacqui (huge huggles) to you both.

Koh - Consider me tippy-toeing. Kind of like tip-toeing through a mine-field though . So far today I haven't changed a single thing, though the pineapple in the kitchen is smelling awfully good. Ooooooh I just had a great idea, I could put some in a stirfry tonight. You are a genius young fella. I guess my panic is based in a lack on confidence in my ability to be strong and sensible. After reading refeed and maintenance diaries I learned that just about everybody goes off the rails, just a touch, at the beginning until they start establishing their own boundries and limits. I will be doing the same no doubt. Refeed, no problems, still lots of rules and regulations, I just love the discipline. You are right, I need to write my owns rules.

My back is aching big time today, plus the added joy of waking up with a headache. I think refeed has come at the perfect time, I think the body has had enough.

We got up early this morning and went to the markets. Stocked up on all things fruit and veg. I was trying to hunt down some blueberries to go in my yoghurt, nope, not a one in sight. But I got 2 pineapples, some plums plus the usual apples, oranges, cabbage, lettuce, boy choy, garlic, onions, and some end of the season peaches. I so love the markets!!!!!!!! Of course the boys got in too with avos, bananas, tomatos, broccolini etc etc. My fridges look like they are going to explode.

The vultures are hovering, wanting the computer, must fly

Kisses

Jo

Hi Jo,

Well, just maybe you can "set the tone" re how Maintenance should be approached !!

Show all those following "the way" Jo - you know, softly softly.... Really, a little "upsie/downsie" is to be expected - in the end, all that matters is that you get up one more time than you get knocked down

Amazing, isn't it, how "free-ing" rules can be !!! So go set YOUR rules, Jo - live them and love them, and become the svelte wee girl you have been dreaming of !!! It can happen - it's in your hands whoops, I mean it's in your hands

Koh

PS I really like what Mette said - so feel free to ignore all of the above, and go read Mette's post (and Mette, I luv ya girl - you have said it all right there)
