Re: The quest for Caro!
Hi all, wow I have been so busy lately, not even enough time to post - well the Red Cross shop in K-Town is opening tomorrow and I cannot wait, we have all been stalking the windows and are planning a mass assault at o0pening time tomorrow!
So the same half kg keeps coming and going and I think its time to order that refeed - otherwise several small children could be in danger - I AM HUNGRY! So at 3kg to goal range I am going in - I think that just having refeed available will provide the focus I still need! But interestingly so many people in my town (and in my building) are doing, close to completing or are considering Cohen's and it is awesome - people are smiling, they are chatting, giving support, advice and encouragement, such a change from the whinging that usually happens in a workplace - I have never heard the words "you must feel great, good on you" or "you could try this it worked for me" so often and that is so encouraging - and people are swapping recipes - it feels great to be talking about food in such a good way - relationships are changing people......... keep an eye out for that in your conversations!!!!! They have changed from "The Watchers" to "The Doers" - awesome, awesome, awesome!!! You know over the weekend I was shown a short video that really made sense and just made me feel all warm and fuzzy so I am posting the links for you all, don't be put off by the dontlosefaith site, it's just a good link!! http://dontlosefaith.com/validation-video/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cbk980jV7Ao Anyway - so life has calmed down - the SO and I have decided that at this point we are better friends than partners - since I have addressed my weight issue I have started to address everything else - and we realised after much heartache that we are at different places in life and wanting very different things (and I am still working that one out!!) - so although I will be grateful forever to the man who provided a safe place to begin changing my life and for being there during my journey, I guess at some point you really do have to go it alone and see where you end up! But the grand unveiling this weekend at my nieces wedding on the Gold Coast - how fabulous DFO, HarbourTown, Disasterpiece here I come - please have nice things for me!!! My sisters have been posting old photos on Facebook and to counter that I had to post a new pic of me so they kinda know how much I have changed but it will still be exciting to see them in the flesh - and hug those kiddies who think Aunty C is a mythical figure who sends cool presents!!! Movie World on Friday - will post lots of photos for you all! Have great weeks losers!!! OMG I just realised that I have knocked on the door of my next goal - I thought it would never happen!!!

Re: The quest for Caro!
Hey Caro,
Really good little video clip - I found both links were the same - but it amazed me that there was SO much response to the YouTube link as opposed to the other !! Still, a really worthwhile posting, so "Thank you!" for the smile.... And you, my little soon-to-be refeeder, you Rock on too.... Validation is YOURS !! Seems to me you are THERE !! Hugs, Koh PS Get these turtles outta here ..........

Re: The quest for Caro!
Have a fantastic weekend, Caro. Even with the photos, they won't be prepared for the change. Yes, very hard to paying full price once you have discovered the bargains in pre-loved.

Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time. My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight. What else do I do? I help people make money and I help people save money. Please take a look at http://www.acnlinks.clancie.com.au/ |

Re: The quest for Caro!
Well I had the time of my life!!! The wedding was great and it was awesome to not stand out as a large body, I know it sounds terribly conceited but you know what I mean! My brother and his wife did not recognise me - no way, double takes and everything and then tears, hugs and oh my god's all round!
And after 20 years of coveting them I now own (and fit) a pair of Levi 501's!!!!! I can honestly say that I never thought that it would happen in my lifetime............... |

Re: The quest for Caro!
So, all my good intentions to be a more regular poster..............gone.......... life has gotten so busy, I am applying for a new job, trying to get a transfer, getting closer to goal and so I missed it.................. what you may ask............
ORDERING REFEED! I slipped within 1.5kg of my original goal and 3.5 of my new goal and I didn't even notice. So I had my last blood test, almost kissed the vampire I was so happy and got straight on the phone..........oh do you think you should give it a bit more time??????????? Are you kidding, HELL NO, I am hungry, small children are in danger, the chiuahaha next door is beginning to look like a bbq possibility and I WANT REFEED!!! So there it is. ordered and on its way soon, it has been such a journey...... there have been many casualties - bread, freddo's, raspberry licorice........my sanity at times but I have made it through to this point and now to forge ahead to the finish!!!! I have found it challenging - not really!!!! it has been easy to do the food part, the emotional stuff took a bit but it has been great, so my advice - just commit and do it. I have motivated others - awesome, and I have learnt about me - priceless. And I have still not managed to beat my shopping addiction......... and nor do I intend to try!!! I have so many pretty things now that sometimes I open the wardrobe and think - WOW IT ALL FITS! That and when I hang out washing I think - does my butt really fit into that size - YES!!!! My sis asked - Do you look down and sometimes think that you haven't changed at all and then get a shock when you realise that you have? - UH HUH all the time! but the head is catching up! The SO called me up and said I have a surprise for you - a pair of pants from long ago that were hanging in his side of the wardrobe that I missed when I moved - size 18's OMG - was I ever truly there it seems so long ago!!! But only 6 short months and 38.5kg's........... so it can be done! I have enjoyed every minute of the quest so far even the hard parts!!!!!! |
