Yahh for the 2.8 litres - hopefully with the weather warming up water will be come a bit easier to down

Happy weekend

WW - goat's cheese is not on the good list, I was told very clearly only cow feta which disappoints me but I can deal.

Greek salad is one of my favs, so the fact I can have this once a week makes me feel happy!

Food for today - a little mixed. I made a mistake today and did meal 3 instead of meal 2, which put my meals out a tad.

So
Yoghurt / apple - I love this combo. Pink Lady apples are so good.
Tuna steak and vegies (spinach, tomato, cabbage, celery)
Snapper and vegies (cucumber, spinach, tomato, cabbage)

I try and mix up my vegies so I'm not doing the same thing day in day out. This keeps me interested in my food. Also Dill - fantastic on almost anything I put it on.

My meal plan for tomorrow is going to be mixed up a bit. I am having meal 3 for breakky, meal 2 for lunch and meal 1 for dinner. I am going on a rotary ramble for charity, so that means I have to walk around on a treasure hunt for 4 hours and keep my energy up. I'm going to eat my fruit in the afternoon after lunch so I don't fade away..

chat tomorrow! xoxo

So yesterday ...

I left the fish out that I had prepped on Sat night - it was snapper - SO GOOD. but no, had Tuna instead.
Had chicken and salad for lunch
I made an omelette for dinner!

So I must have walked about 10kms yesterday during the Perth Ramble. I took it easy, didn't drink as much water as I should have but still at least hit 2l for the day.

My feet were killing me! SO SORE.

Today's food

yoghurt and apple
cottage cheese and salad
prawns and salad. Delish.

Only just tipped 2l, need to drink a bit more water before going to bed.

I feel a little out of sorts for week 3, I'm hoping it gets better.

I am so busting in the mornings! I love being a semi vegetarian - I could lose myself in the fun experiments. Not eating meat means I am way more experimental with my food. I'm glad you're doing really well!

I have purchased some firm tofu on the weekend. I'm thinking about making some tofu type steak for one of my meals on the weekend. We'll see how that works.

I have to say I'm finding this much easier to do than I thought. I'm not inclined to want to cheat. I have no interest in eating the food that I was eating before. I miss red meat more than I do chocolate (I really love red meat) but because of my Gall Bladder, I can't eat it.

So I've discovered Tuna steak and I've had fresh and frozen Tuna. I obviously prefer fresh, but even the frozen tuna is pretty delicious too. I'm wondering if I should think about making a Korma since I have the herbs for it.

So food today
Apple and yoghurt (the right kind)
Tuna and salad (spring onion, spinach, tomato, red cabbage, celery)
tonight was Tuna steak - cucumber, red cabbage, tomato, spring onion, spinach, celery.

I love salad.

Anyways, I've not deviated. I'm over 2L for water.

On an unrelated note (for those who only care about food, stop here)

I rang my cousin tonight and advised I wasn't able to go to the babyshower his wife invited me to. I didn't pussyfoot around and said I had a miscarriage. He was awesome, told me I should have said something and he would have come and visited. I love him to pieces, I used to babysit him when he was a kid and I refused to wipe his ass when he was 4 because he was old enough to do it himself.

He lives 5 mins away from me, so I'm going to go over in a week or two to see him, hand over a cute present and get excited that he's going to be a dad. I bawled my eyes out in the car when driving home after the call tonight. Small steps I guess. I know I'm over the worst of it, but grief is weird. Just snaps you when you don't expect it.

Hi Rettstar, I love that you are creative and experimental with your foods - I know I lack in that department - but for now I am just soldiering on Also love the fact how much in the zone you are with the EP - chocolate no longer phases me (did I just actually say that?!) and isn't it a great feeling

I used to babysit him when he was a kid and I refused to wipe his ass when he was 4 because he was old enough to do it himself - that did make me giggle

It is nice that you have so much support around you - I personally haven't had a miscarriage so I cant relate 100% but I assume it is something you don't like to shout from the roof tops - so for that thank you for sharing. I think it is a good idea that you told him and that he was so caring - and understandable that a baby shower would not be on the top of your agenda. You are so sweet! {HUGGGSSSS}

Happy Weds

Want to burn those calories?

You could do any of the following: 2

3 MINS OF WALKING
1 MINS OF JOGGING
1 MINS OF SWIMMING
2 MINS OF CYCLING

ok well i have done more than that. About 15 mins of walking after my Physio session.

Did the awards night tonight for work.

I prepped my lunch and dinner and ate at work before the night.

Prizes given, the usual politics and bitching muttering afterwards "what did he get that for?" etc. I am the only manager in my department that hasn't won an award. There's only 6 of us - I suspect my big mouth where I voice objections in the last 6 months about processes and decisions has landed me in the sinbin again.

I so need to quit my job

Food today.
usual apple yoghurt
Turkey steak for lunch and dinner. I am loving the vegetables.

The only awards (rewards) you need to focus on are the ones you give yourself for reaching "mini goals" along the way to your final goal

Glad you are happily settled into cohens and veges -makes life that much easier.

Enjoy the weekend

Eating on time on weekends is proving difficult.

It's much harder to get the food arranged when we're so busy.

I've taken to ensuring that I am eating the same protein, lunch and dinner on Saturdays since that seems to be the day when we're squeezing everything in.

Also much hungrier today than I have been during the week, but I think it's possible I have been thirsty - I can't quite tell the difference between hunger and thirst.

Food - apple and yoghurt
snapper and coleslaw
shark and coleslaw - won't eat shark again, too heavy and Husband didn't like it as much.

Tomorrow I'm going to do a crispy tofu.

Talking Re: rettstar's rambles

A good day today, I was a little experimental.

I went and got a new non-stick pan. I had a small 20cm Baccarat non stick pan but my food for the last two weeks has been difficult to cook because it just kept sticking. I was using more oil than I should have. So we got a Tefal 20cm fry pan. Last few days, it's been great! I cook food better and faster.

Visited my parents and did a "cheat weigh in" since they own scales. I've lost a few kilos since I was weighed by my Cohen Consultant on 14/10. I'll wait until I do my official weigh in to post, but the weight loss for the month is huge.

So today I did a Cohen's version of a eggs benedict for a sunday breakfast. Normally I'd poach eggs in a pot of water, but husband bought a microwave egg poacher. I totally balls'd it up. My eggs exploded and really I should have added vinegar into the water. The microwave needed a bit of cleaning after!

So:
poached egg - wilted English spinach, mushroom tomato on a Salad biscuit base. Was delicious and I was full.

Lunch was going to be Tofu (I swapped meal 3 and meal 2). I got some firm grilling tofu and cut them into cubes and then sprayed a bit of balsamic vinegar onto the cubes to soak in whilst I prepped the crumbing mixture.

I crushed salada bikkies into small crumbs and dust (effectively) and seasoned with a bit of pepper and salt. I tossed the cubes in the crumb mix and the unused crumbs went into my salad.

I panfried the tofu cubes so they were crispy - I think I could have done better and let the balsamic do it's work.

The salad was celery, cabbage and used half an apple in the salad, a flat teaspoon of low fat mayo and it became my version of Waldorf.

So! dinner was more standard - Hoki fish fillet, mushroom, zucchini and spinach.

I will need to think up something cool for lunch next weekend.

Your post brings back memories - experimenting with the fewer food choices - I used to spend ages dreaming up how to use my food allowances when on plan - now it is just grilled chicken and salad

As I normally have lots of omelettes, I go through quite a few non stick pans - more the stoneware type as I hate sticking pans - amazing how simple things like a new frying pan can make one feel so good.

Can't weight for your next weigh in - how long do we have to wait???

I enjoy cooking so I am hoping I keep being experimental. My mum was a salad chef, so I learned how to whip up a few things.

So weigh in will be 4 November. I'm looking forward to it.

Brekky, same ole stuff, yoghurt and 1/2 an apple
lunch - chicken braised in balsamic vinegar with salad
Dinner - Tuna, with cabbage, celery, spinach and 3/4 of an apple.

I went 1/4 over my fruit allowance today - wasn't paying attention to what I was adding into my dinner. Guess I'll make up for that tomorrow.

Lightbulb Re: rettstar's rambles

Hello space on the internet

Didn't drink as much as I should have - need to drink 1 litre shortly!

usual yoghurt and apple, greek feta salad and Hoki with zucchini, mushroom and spinach.

Worst day at work for quite some time.

A report being used to make business decisions about my department was released to us managers today. We found holes in the report within 10 minutes of looking at the data. Understating the volume of work that we do by a significant factor.

We got bought by another company so now they are applying the same management techniques to an onshore centre as they do for offshore. So reporting that is already viewable in our reporting system, needs to be pulled by team leaders, chucked into an email with a please explain if the numbers aren't what they are supposed to be.

Then I was given 48 hours to kill off a stack of failed applications (over 500) and I managed to do that, but it's cost one of my colleagues her staff time as I borrowed her team. She wasn't in today, pretty sure she won't be happy when she sees her work wasn't done. I'm going to apologise tomorrow and lend some of my staff to work on her list to make up for it on the weekend.

I wanted to throw the towel in today. I wanted to bury myself head deep in Pad Thai and chocolate for dessert. I didn't though. I didn't give away and break down and deviate.

However all the bad stuff is forgotten when I got home and saw that I have been offered a place at Uni next year.

New life is on the horizon.

Better day today.

Food was normal!

I'll hit 2litres today but what I've found is I'm not drinking water when really busy an I have to. Otherwise I'm catching up on water when I get home and then it's all night time visits.

Apple and yoghurt (as usual)
Balsamic Tuna with salad.
Crumbed Turkey steak with mushrooms / zucchini and spinach.

I mixed in some turmeric and ginger into the mix - this provided a bit of heat in the turkey that I don't get as I can't eat chilli.

Tumeric has some great properties for digestion issues and I've had a bit of them over the years. I'll be using it a little more often I think in my food from now on.

Thumbs up Re: rettstar's rambles

Go Rettstar - what a champ not giving up!!

Good on you. Pat on the back - isn't it a great feeling when we can resist.

I had a challenge yesterday to. Was my birthday and a friend rang unexpectedly to take me out for lunch. I suggested a café where I know that have lots of salads including lettuce salad. Got there and of course no lettuce salad there yesterday. Nothing else I could really eat other than a curry cauliflower salad. Had a few mouthfuls and had no more - was not good and I had a feeling the curry powder was mixed with a mayo or something. Had current or black peppercorns through it so was trying to pick them out as well. Had to think in a hurry what to do as didn't want to be missing a meal. Had to go and do work jobs later in the day so snuck home and quickly had tuna and lettuce. didn't have afternoon smoko though so wasn't really stealing any time!! First time I had been in an unplanned situation. Meant my last meal was right on 9 o'çlock tho which I don't like doing but survived the day.

Have a great rest of the week.

My latest day

Copped a workplace injury today - blast to the ear when I was calling a customer - their cordless phone launched a squawk of high pitched tone into my ear. Now my ear is ringing quite loudly, not my first acoustic shock, but irritating none the less.

Again, yoghurt and apple; had turmeric with my tuna and salad today and that was nice and had tuna steak tonight.

Tomorrow I have a plan for crumbed prawns =D

I am starting to see a physical change in my wrists.. I have these fat pouchy things on my wrists and those are now shrinking

I'm happy.

Hello world

food today
yoghurt and apple
tuna and salad
prawns! with mushrooms and zucchini. So good.

I haven't felt well all day, I have a headache and pain in my left jaw, up the left of my face.. all stemming from my ear injury from yesterday.

Haven't gone to the doctors for it.

I also did some Halloween stuff, had my throat painted like it had been cut - I was pretty happy.

Hello internet

Hope you're all well.

I had my usual yoghurt, tuna and finely sliced cabbage with balsamic and dinner was cauliflower mash with turmeric and tuna with mushroom.

Last night was pretty bad as far as the headache went - if you ever have an acoustic shock - you can either have no effect, massive headache and dizzy spells, or an ear infection develop. I just copped the nasty headache. I took 2 neurofen and pretty much passed out, went to bed and slept off the headache. Neurofen is pretty strong it also had sugar coating, so not sure how I'm supposed to mange that. I'll ask my consultant on Wednesday.

===

OK.

Going to post a link to my pics over the last 11 years.. I'm generally seeing my weight go down - I don't have anything earlier than June 2004 (thank god).

transition from 2004 - 2014
