fighting the good fight to the new me, or should I say old(as in previously at goal weight) me. Been struggling a bit - anxiety problems, which make me want to eat, so I'm drinking water and weak black tea. and pacing my snacks, and trying to breathe...I'll get there in the end. hope to be refeeding by the end of the month - my brother, sis in law and good friend will be home from OS by then (visiting family). Going away for a girls weekend in early November, and looking forward to that. at least the dust will have settled on refeed by then, and should be maintaining ok...well, that's the plan, and after reading the thread by ConnieK about maintenance, I have all I need to keep my weight steady - still working on the head space and the discipline needed - not my strong point!

have a great week everyone

All I'd say is "Don't wait too long - 'cos it can take up to a week for Refeed to arrive".... Even having ordered it, it remains valid for many weeks (6? 8? not sure, but ask your clinic).

Meanwhile, you just keep doing your best... and keep licking those plates !!

Well done on getting that mini goal - and yay for you being already in the range! Yahoo! Not sure I would have the patience to wait til I was 'very hungry' if I was already in the range, so good on you!

Thanks Andrea - hope you are ok! Read your diary...sounds scarey. Hope all you ChCh people are ok. With the very hungry, I read if you can wait that long, you do better in maintenance. But having said that, and had those hungries before, I don't know how I'll go - might last only day! anyway, I'll worry about that when i come to it.

Thanks Koh for dropping by - yes plate licking can be habit forming! can't wait until I don't feel like I have to do it...

have a great week every one !

Hi M & N and Missy - Thanks so much! And yair, getting excited now! Wishing my life away almost it seems. I was thinking just before, while I was waiting to get my tea ready and the family in so we could eat together (that was the game plan anyway) it could be 3 or 4 weeks, which will seem like forever, but it's not really. and if I dont' deviate, it COULD be earlier! so, NO DEVIATIONS! Have my bro and sis in law over Sunday - they've been OS for about 6 months, but I'm not worried - they're not overly fussed on dessert, and I'm happy to have salad and whatever. had salad tonight - haven't had it in months, and a really yummo 1/2 tomato - it was soooo good! It was hard to slow down and not just stuff it in. And I had seconds! (Licked the plate ha ha!) could have licked the fry pan, but i tried that before, and my nose gets in the way...lol!) Nice to know I have friends Missy - and you're a candidate for the 10kg of less club now! yay! great effort!
M & N - I'll be in refeed before too soon - glad you will have got started by now (well, I hope so!!) You have done so well - it's a endurance race in a way
what a great program we have! I had such a blast trying on my skinny clothes - chuckling to myself - might not ever have a perfect figure, but hey, I looks heaps better in my clothes and I FEEL good! I was even able to do some culling - I usually hang on to things 'just in case', but I've got a pretty good idea of what I'll wear again and what i wont - have so many clothes, I'll have to wear some of the nicer stuff around the house...or else there just isn't enough days in the year to wear it all! Might have to use that rule - one in one out....

have a great week everyone, and look forward to watching some super slippery sliders!!

Lesley

Thanks Alana! Rang the clinic yesterday and after a chat, Suzanne said she reckons I'll be ready in about 10 days - can't believe how fast I've been losing it - not having cheese seems to be the biggest difference (was having it for breakfast in past times on the program). Exciting to think that sunday (official weigh and measure day) I could be 58 point something...wow.
got home early from work today, and in the train on the way home, I remembered some skirts I haven't tried on for a week or two, and thought 'must do that when I get home" and I did - and yes they are looser - woo hoo. Have a few more things to find and try on...and a skirt that I LOVED - have to dig that out too. My jeans fit now - all a bit big in the waist, but I'm going to put some darts in them - I'll have quite a few alterations to make haha...it is SO NICE to be here again - I can scarcely believe it - I was starting to think I'd never fit into them again, and now, I AM. Amazing. I'd like my hips to shrink a bit more, but I might not get there...we'll see. Not that worried about it. I'm not going to spoil this feeling just for that!
well, I'm off now to read a few more posts...will come back sunday...hmmm, wonder what the scales and tape measure will reveal....he he.

Hi Lesley, hope that scale and tape treat you well when you weigh and measure in the morning ! You are doing so well and so exciting fitting those clothes and having to put darts in the jeans to make them fit !! I have a pair of black pants that I got way back from the op shop that I love and I have taken them in 4 times now.I don't want them to die!!I also have a pair of shinny black pants that were fairly expensive that look hideous now but I like them so might get an expert to fix them for me.Have a good sleep in anticipation of tomorrow.XXX

Hi M & N - wow! you've lost EVEN MORE... and so have I haha. Am 69.3 now, so, going by my results of the past weeks, I should be refeeding this time next week...lets hope. Was up until very early 1.40 am, sewing, didn't get that much done - have family visiting today, so that's wiped out any plans of clothes fittings etc. Great to have them over though (have been in Korea). survived the temptations of lunch too
Hope I keep losing through refeed - last 2 times I messed up, but this time round I want to get it right, and really see how I go. Have the hungries ended now? and the 'stuffed full' started looking forward to it myself...

have a great week!

lesley

Wooohoooo Lesley ! Are you in a hurry or what !! You are doing so well and I am really excited for you.You sound strong so you will be fine this time in refeed.Stay accountable so others can help if they are needed.I had a better day today.Still hungry but the afternoon was pretty good really.I split the extra food between two meals today plus I was allowed another good fruit so that was so nice. You also have a great week and I will see you very soon in my camp !! We can pig out together. I can't wait to see how much my tummy can cope with before it says enough.

Hi Lesley

Not had chance to visit your diary but wanted to stop by and say hi as we are both reaching refeed v. soon hopefully.

I wanted to ask you about 'messing up' the last times. Was that you didn't do refeed or didn't do it properly.
I hope you don't mind me being nosey but if it can stop me doing something silly in the next couple of weeks I would be eternally grateful. There is a little devil on my shoulder that is telling me that once I am at goal I can allow myself things that aren't on the refeed programme.
Trying to tell him to get lost but he is a persistent wee fella!

Hi FF, I had chocolate...and other things like that, cake i think - so I really didn't see what would cause me to put on weight and what wouldn't. in maintenance, you can have all sorts of stuff, but you have to try and see how it affects you eg, do you bloat? put on weight? feel sluggish? etc. you need to listen to your body carefully, and you'll be doing that for some time. We're not out of the woods yet! lol but we can see the clearing So, stick with the new good foods mainly, and just try maybe every few days something new and see how you go - maybe a bit like trying things to see if you are allergic for example - you dont' have half a dozen things and then wonder what it was at was the problem! Baby steps. One thing at a time, that way you maintain, see how much volume of food you can have, how to keep feeling good energy wise and weight wise. And, any deviation will cost you 3 days - telling you this, cos I had a tiny biscuit yesterday with a coffee (had coff with OH which is a rare occurance! and that was my pathetic excuse) - and I'm up 400 g this morning - plus it takes 3 days to get my body right again, so even if I end up starting the hungries today, I'll have to wait 3 days now to start refeed...dumb, very dumb. So, just hang in there, we cando it!! If i think of any thing else, I'll let you know.

have a great week - and ISN'T IT EXCITING TO FIT SMALLER SIZES??? LOVE IT!!

Lesley
