good job! I feel encouraged by reading through your diary. I can remember my first 2 wks on the plan and when the zone came, best feeling ever, I even thought there was something wrong with me coz I've never been in such a good mood on a continuous basis.

keep up the good work and I hope I make it to the zone again this time!

Thanks for popping into my diary Ciors and mesmer_eyes and for the lovely comments. I just love this forum - it's full of friends who keep me/us on track and motivated. It would be a very lonely journey otherwise.

Well, I think I must be entering the zone at last!! I felt like I had so much more energy today and my moods were definitely "lighter" and not so dark and miserable. What a great feeling!

I also felt like my clothes were a smidgen looser than they have been ...... woo hoo! Love it!

Weekends are so hard but it's good to be able to read through some motivating diaries.

One more day and I will have completed 3 weeks deviation free. My jeans are starting to feel a little looser (gotta love the baggy bum feeling) and I've been able to resist all the temptations this week, even when work mates urged me multiple times to try the "new Doritos." I haven't told anyone that I'm doing Cohens because I don't want the pressure and questions so I just said I was still full from dinner, which I had taken with me as I was working late. In all honesty, I could have stuffed a whole bag of Doritos down my gullet but I didn't and I'm proud of myself for being strong.

Still having bouts of hunger but I just keep telling myself it's a sign I'm losing weight. I'm also battling to drink all my water. Doing it but not enjoying it at all.

Hi soon 2b slim,

How great does it feel when your clothes become baggy? I love that feeling. Well done on not giving into temptation. I know how hard it can be. On a regular basis, the people in my office like to eat KFC, maccas , hj's. The office is really small so all you can smell Is fast food. Not good when your on cohens.

But my goal is so much more Important than maccas or KFC so I push through that smell.

Congratulations on being deviation free. Such an amazing feeling. We can do this soon to be slim. We will be feeling and looking absolutely wonderful in no time.

Thanks Chew Chew. I know what you mean about the smell of the fast food, particularly KFC!! Don't you find that your sense of smell is so much keener when you're on Cohens and eating clean? I used to try and avoid those delicious smells because they would make me want to eat the wrong foods but then I realised that by taking a deep breath and appreciating the aroma I wasn't deviating but at the same time the desire to eat the food went away. Somehow, just breathing in the smell of chocolate, fast food etc. took away my desire to actually have some. I'm sure that it's more the smell that gets people eating the stuff rather than the taste ... although the taste of KFC is pretty good.

I find it also helps to go grocery shopping after I've eaten so that I'm not as tempted to eat everything I see.

Well done on resisting the fast food in your office ... that must be so hard, but as you say, our goal is so much more than 10 minutes of tastebud delights and KFC isn't going anywhere, it will still be there when we are done.

Hi Louise

Just caught up on your diary - you are doing so well. 3 weeks and deviation free - great work. Yep I have found that I am also struggling to drink my allocation of water - so I keep saying in my head - more I drink the quicker I lose it. I have to admit that saying that helps me as I know that it does purify my system. Well I better pop away and grab another 400ml glass of water.

Keep up the great achievements.

Karen

Thanks for visiting my diary Karen and for the encouragement. It's comforting to know that I'm not the only one struggling to drink all my water. Some people make it look so easy!

Well today is weigh and measure day for me. I did my measurements first and it seems to be arm and thigh week as those are the places I lost cm while the rest stayed pretty much the same. Talk about reshaping, lol. Anyway, I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find that I'd lost 1.8kg this week! I love Cohens! No other "diet" or eating plan is this easy and successful. I remember doing WW many years ago and it took me a whole year of cravings and struggles to lose 10kg at a rate of 0.2kg a week, if I was lucky.

Anyway, going to have a busy day - going shopping with my newly engaged daughter for a wedding dress! I will take my water along and make sure there are plenty of potty stops along the way, lol.

It's the end of the week and I still dread the weekends even after nearly 4 weeks on Cohens. I feel good and am losing weight but the weekends are my danger zone because I relax more and it's my normal "munching on anything" time.

I'm still 100% deviation free which I'm proud of even though there have been temptations in the way.

It's been a busy busy week for me with work and home life and I haven't been getting enough sleep but hopefully I can have a lie in tomorrow even though I will have to get up earlier than I would like in order to have my breakfast and fit in all my meals for the day.

I will be going for my 4 week blood test on Monday and have an appointment with my consultant on Thursday but as I weigh on Mondays I will update my ticker on Monday not Thursday

I can't believe it's nearly 4 weeks since I started this round of Cohens. Where does the time go? The great thing is that I'm a month closer to goal instead of beating myself up for starting again every Monday and failing by Friday. I will get there just by putting one foot in front of the other and taking each day as it comes. The time for procrastination is long gone - I'm on the fast track to the skinny me!!

Almost four weeks in, congratulations!! I just caught up with your diary and you've done so well, keep up the excellent work!!!

This will be my first weekend on cohens (repeat offender though) and I'm feeling anxious too, I know I'll be super strong and will go thru it but like you, my weekends used to be the "munching on anything" days, so yeah... I'm kind of hoping I would have learnt my lessons this time around though.

Keep strong, you are doing super, super well!!

Ps. I used to have the same consultant as you, now I live literally the opposite side of the world.

Thanks for popping into my diary Soleil and your kind words. Wow! You moved a long way away. I hope it's as nice there as it is here.

Keep strong this weekend, you'll be so glad you did when Monday comes around.

I look forward to following your journey too.

So tomorrow is the big day ... 4 weeks down and a blood test

Today is Fathers Day so I cooked a lamb roast with all the trimmings for the hubby and made his favourite apple pie with ice cream for dessert. It was hard but I didn't even have a taste of that succulent lamb!

Anyway, I just wanted to post today because I had this epiphany and maybe I'm slow to "get it" but I want it in my diary so that I can look back one day and remind myself of this.

Here it is: Apart from the fact that Cohens is great for losing weight it's also an eating plan that gives one hope. In all the other diets/eating plans I have tried and even when trying to get back into it without getting a new plan and failing week after week, I always had this miserable thought that it was just hopeless and I wondered if I would ever see "the 80s" again. I would lose maybe half a kilo but the next week I would lose the same half a kilo. It was demoralising and I honestly felt that I was fighting a losing battle.

Enter Cohens My outlook is positive! I don't feel hopeless any more and I live EVERY day with the hope that my weight will go down. As for the 80s, I reached that long ago and can see the 70s not far away. Every week when I get on the scales I know that my weight will be less than before and I'm not afraid of seeing what it is any more - I'm excited to see what miracle Dr Cohen has made possible. I'm living with hope because of him and his eating plan. I have hope that I will get into the 70s and then the 60s. I have hope that I will reach goal. Gone are the hopeless days, feeling as if I was useless and fat and ugly and a failure. With this eating plan I have hope and a future in a thin body. Thank you Dr Cohen for giving me hope.

It's 4 weeks today since I got my new plan so I weighed myself and I lost another 1.8kg last week. I'm really happy with that and it makes my first 4 weeks weight loss 7.1kg. I know my ticker says 7.5 but I was down to 91.6 by the official start of my EP. When I weighed at the clinic I was 92.

One thing about Cohens that I really love is when you skip numbers in the journey to goal. For instance, last week I was in the 86s but this week I'm already half way through the 84s having totally skipped the 85s

Still 100% deviation free and looking forward to losing some more this week.

Louise

Thanks for popping into my diary everyone and for all the encouragement. It helps so much knowing that there is support out there!

It's been 5 weeks deviation free now but I won't say it's all been easy. This was a tough week for me with daily temptations at work, muffins, chocolate peanuts, toffees, dinner, chips ....... but I avoided them all and left the dinner meeting before the eating began!

I still struggle to drink all my water but now that the weather is warming up it may get easier. I can only hope!

Anyway, for my efforts this week I lost another 1.3kg which I'm really happy about. For a while it looked like I was going to lose less than half of that and I could feel the old emotions niggling at me ... it's not worth it, why not just eat what I want ... who really cares anyway ...... stupid thoughts I know, but they were there. I'm so glad I ignored them and continued doing what I had to do and that is lose weight, eat right and just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

I can't believe it's been 5 weeks already. The time flies by but instead of wasting time wishing I was losing weight (like I was doing at the beginning of the year) I am well on my way!

I wonder if Dr Cohen is aware of just how many people love him

Well done Louise!

You certainly are on your way. It's amazing how fast it all happens.

Personally, my journey has been so fast and my brain hasn't caught up with my body yet. Every time I see myself in the mirror or walk past a window, I am shocked at how slim I am. I wonder how long it will take for my "skinny brain" to kick in.

Keep up the good work and you'll be down in no time!

Thanks AZ You've hit the nail on the head when you said your brain hasn't caught up with your body. I think that is true for all of us - it's a huge leap to go from being and feeling and thinking that we are fat to realising we are suddenly thin and need to live as a thin person. Our mindset as a fat person doesn't really mind what we shove in our gobs because we're already fat so how much worse can it get? But as a thin person who wants to stay thin we are more mindful of what we eat so that we can stay thin but this isn't easy if our mind is still in "fat mode."

You look amazing btw and must be so proud of your achievement. Enjoy looking in the mirror and flaunting your new skinny body! You deserve to be able to celebrate it and enjoy the compliments! Well done!
