Talking Week 6 Losses

Week 6 Losses
Week 7, Day 3
Wt Loss for 6th week : 4 pounds
Total Loss for 6 weeks: 19 pounds

I am still in shock at how easy this is going. The fat is just falling off lately and I am now in size 10 pants as my 12's are too big and I started off at 13-14 or so on the pants.

I started walking only 20 minutes several times a week. It is a nice walk...not too much, and doesn't make me extra hungry. I did figure out the hard way to have my crackers and apple snack before the walk, otherwise I feel lightheaded and completely weak. None of that happens with consuming the snack prior to walking.

I am so happy that I tried this diet!! Thanks Maria and Shanara for stopping by to visit my diary.

I don't have blood test results yet. I still like my lip glosses and use them daily...they keep my lips nice and soft. I haven't asked the consultants about using them.

Hey pretty lady! I'm finally back and catching up! Looks like you're doing marvellously! You might want to contact your clinic about the blood test results. Some of them aren't good at contacting you, so you might want to chase it up.
Keep up the great work!

Talking Week 7 and 8 Updates

Week 7 & 8 Losses
Week 9, Day 2
Wt Loss for 7th and 8th week : 4 pounds
Total Loss for 8 weeks: 23 pounds

So....an avg. loss of 2 pounds per week. I made a mistake with cough drops and used the regular sugar kind for two days before I realized SUGAR!!!! I f'd up!! I felt horrible about that. That probably slowed my weight loss down, plus my body needing to put all resources into getting better. I have been sick for two weeks, plus Holidays and winter weather....have all been stressful.

Now maybe we can get the ball rolling again. I'm still very happy that there was a 4 pound loss!!

I will try to find some time soon to visit some of you in your diaries. Thanks for reading!

Hi Ms Jiggles,
Hope you are feeling better now. Don't worry about the cough lollies you did what your body needed at the time and you need to be healthy to make this program work well. Yeah your cold and we're feeling really hot here. Have a good new year.

Hey sweetness, don't stress about it. It was a mistake anyone could make. I hope you're feeling better and that the weightloss will speed up for you again!

Talking Week 9 Losses

Week 9 Losses
Week 10, Day 1
Wt Loss for 9th week : 1 pound
Total Loss for 9 weeks: 24 pounds

My TOM should be starting soon, so I think I am retaining water. My measurements are down and my clothes are even bigger...even my new size 10 Jeans are now fitting me big, so I only hope that it means I am making my way to size 8.

Thanks Mette and Gorgeous one for your nice words and for visiting my journal. I appreciate it a lot.

I am finally feeling better and over my illness. That was not fun.

And I am really really cold lately. I go to bed with these microwave heated packs to warm me up and warm jammies and two blankets and I am still cold!!! I guess less blubber to insulate me means I have to wear long johns under my jammies, too.

I also feel a little more hungry even though I space out my meals and crackers. I read in other's diaries that I will probably feel more cold and more hungry the closer I get to goal weight.

Otherwise, doing great. Have not had a bite or taste of anything naughty. You know what I miss?? NOT the junk food but nuts and avocado. I can't wait to have a handful of cashews or almonds and a slice of avocado. I also miss healthy natural peanut butter.

One day I will be able to enjoy those things in moderation. Take care for now!

Ms. Jiggles

I know what you mean about craving things that aren't junk food! I want broccoli! And rice! Haven't even craved bread and butter... I do want pineapple though. One day very very soon we will be able to have these things again! Keep up the great work!

Talking Week 10 Losses

Week 10 Losses
Week 11, Day 2
Wt Loss for 10th week : 4.8 pounds (plus .2 more today!)
Total Loss: 29 pounds

So, in the last 7 days it was 4.8 down and including today, I have lost 5 pounds in 8 days!!!!!!! Wow!!!

The changes I made last week were to change my vegetables and I also changed my fruit from 2 apples/one orange to 3 apples for the fruit.

I also had a few more BM.s due to the antibiotics I had to take for yet another respiratory infection. I have a few more days of that to go.

I am doing well and I should be ready for re-feed in about a month or so.

I can't wait!!

Ms. Jiggles

Doing great, pretty lady! So proud of you! I hope the respiratory infection goes away soon. Everyone seems to be coming down with something or other these days. Take good care of yourself!

Smile Week 12 Update

Week 11 Losses
Week 12, Day 1
Wt Loss for 11th week : 2.5
Total Loss: 31 pounds

Wow. I'm still losing. I've had a weird week as far as side effects go. I had my first battle with constipation and I was very uncomfortable. I didn't take anything for it, I just changed to more fiber filled veggies and then I went to 4-5 BM's in a couple of days. So that did the trick.

And this is the third day that I have noticed EXTREME tiredness that I have not felt at all before on this diet. I get a good night's sleep and it doesn't help. I drink stronger coffee. Nothing is helping. I have very little energy and I can take a nap at anytime. I am irritable, probably from feeling this way. I also have been having a LOWER BACK PAIN..

The back pain started about 1.5 weeks ago...the week that I had my 2nd biggest fat loss drop. My regular doctor thinks it is muscle related. I didn't tell him that I have had major weight loss in the last 2.5 months. The pain migrates from lower center of back to lower left of back and up around the left side.

I'm assuming from reading people's diaries that all of this may be related to getting closer to refeed and my body having less fat to work with.

I will post this in the other forum and see what everyone thinks and I will also email the consultants.

Thanks for reading! Thanks Mette and Maria for your encouragement!!

Ms. Jiggles

P.S.
I was going to email the consultants..BUT I AM AFRAID TO. In the beginning they told me Dr. Cohen's set my weight loss for 40 Pounds, so right now I am 9 pounds from the DR.'S set goal. I asked them to let me lose more...around 45-50 pounds because that is the weight I used to be 4 yrs ago. They said that was fine. If I email them, I am afraid they won't let me extend my program if I am having these symptoms.

What do you think?

Hey Ms Jiggles - hope you get the back thing sorted out - main thing is your health I would think and its never nice to be in pain. I've had back issues for a few years now and am hoping they'll ease up with Cohens and losing some weight (next stop after that might be yoga I think to try to stretch it out more). Congrats on the weight loss and hope you keep going strong.

Cheers - Kay.

Talking Update long in coming!

Sorry I've been away and haven't checked in. I am still doing great and have adjusted my ticker to reflect Dr. Cohen's weight goal of 40#'s. I want to lose 45#, so that is what I had put in the ticker originally. Now it is set to Dr. Cohen's recommendation and then I can track how much I lose post his goal weight separately.

I am now in the extention of my program. I was still 9# from goal at the end of my 3 months, so I extended another 3 months.

I am now 4.5 pounds from goal weight, so it won't be much longer before I hit it and decide if I want to keep going to hit MY weight goal of 45# before I order the refeed.

I am feeling so thankful for finding this program and to Dr. Cohen. If it wasn't for this diet and all the advice here in this forum that helped me feel at ease about doing it, I would still be FAT. I feel great and my body doesn't hurt like it did before. I look great, too!!

I'm now getting the question "Are you going to stop now?" I say that I'm getting close, but "concerned" friends and co-workers say I look like I should stop now. It really is none of their business, but having read alot of posts here prepared me that this was coming.

Thanks you guys!!! I am so happy and proud!!

Hi Mrs Jiggles

I ahve also been away and not in diaries so thought I would check in on you. Sounds like you are continuing to sparkle on the programme and continuing to loose. How wonderful that you can see the end in sight.

Yes funny how people think they know what we should loose. Guess its because they care.

Keep smiling
Shanara

Hi Ms Jiggles,

Hehe, prob not too much jiggling these days eh? Good news - you are going so well.

Quote:

The way things work here, you are entitled to order your refeed as soon as you are 2Kgs from goal (about where you are now). Also, over here, I believe you have up to 6 weeks to start it... (your rules might be different).

Since you don't quite know WHEN you'll start, may I suggest you order it soon anyway - a lot of stress can drop off just KNOWING you can start when you choose. And there can be a delay (here, it's up to a week after ordering). So, don't wait till your "hanging out" before ordering it eh?

Hey pretty lady! I haven't been around much either, so don't feel bad. Sometimes life just gets busy. Good thing is that the forum is always here, and everyone is welcome any time!
You're doing so well, pretty lady! Don't listen to what others think. Do listen to your body though. Losing 40kg will get you to a BMI of between 22 and 23, and that's where most people end up. Many have reported difficulties when trying to go lower than that. But get there and see how you go. Health first is the most important thing!
