I'm literally quoting you on it! but it is actually good to know, thank you for sharing. My clinic told me that every 5kg's is a drop in dress size, which is another great motivator!

And yes, I have told my parents we should a big family christmas and none of the extended family (who all live interstate) know about my weight loss!

Hi Cumulus

Things are still going well I see - I have been so busy lately I have neglected my diary and my friends this week but I am going for my clinic weigh in tomorrow so I will spend a bit of time tomorrow afternoon writing a very long update and catching up properly with you all. I have some really amazing things to share.

Saw you post you like crunch. Try making some Kale Chips - they are amazing - just put them in the oven you can just spray a tiny bit of olive oil - like two sprays and then throw some salt on top. I have this with my chicken nuggets and its like crumbed chicken and chips - junk food textures on Cohens. I checked with my clinic and kale is 100% fine even though it wasn't originally on my menu.

Also if you like the crumbed chicken - try it with smoked paprika, garlic salt and your cracker - the smoked paprika (this is a pure spice so fine to use) is amazing.

Catch up tomorrow. have a great evening.

lol Kale is a leafy green, apparently a relative of the wild cabbage. It's become something of a craze recently as it has high iron levels and lotsof other good things in it. I wouldn't recommend eating it raw as it is quite bitter.

Thanks lovely. Oh it's not one of those stupid super hero foods is it? Hmm... related to the cabbage you say, might check out the marketplace and get some this week.
Never took any notice cos I'm not looking for it! Hubby like cabbage and brussel sprouts so if i don't like it - he'll be eating it! Lol! Hugs Andie

What is with the super hero food craze anyway? I remember when they said apples caused cancer or some such rot. My darling hubby hust cracked me up. When asked if he knew what kale was, he confidently replied "isn't that like imitation rice" am so glad I'm not alone. LMFAO!!!!!!!

Hi Danni

I am experiencing what you have experienced. Can you believe I even dream of food? I stopped watching the Food Channel. Let's both stay strong and be deviation free!

Looking forward to your next successful weigh in!

Talking Re: One small step for man, one giant leap for me!

Week EIGHT!!!!!

Oh my goodness week eight already? It's come by so fast but at the same time I feel like I've been waiting around forever lol this week has been pretty good overall. Stuck to my new plan of not baking tempting foods and therefore wasn't tempted (who knew?)

Having my parents visit has been wonderful and they are so sweet, asking me if I want them to eat out so the smell of their dinner doesn't get to me and hiding their lolly stash (not that I was tempted) just in case.

Yesterday, I must admit, was a harder crappier day than I've had for awhile. I actually had to walk out of a lecture (so embarrassing!!!) due to severe stomach cramps. I was feeling pretty miserable by the time I got home and had all my cracker allowance plus 2 more at the same time and I drank 1.25L of diet ginger ale instead of 1L..... but the good news of monthly weigh ins is that I can't tell lol

On to the good stuff:

Successes: So it's my 2 month weigh in today, once again I was staring at the scales both hopeful and terrified of them..... This month I dropped 5.7kgs!!!!!! My mind is blown, I had to do it several times just to make sure I was reading it right!!! So super happy right now my cm drop was 4cm, not big but with the weight loss and last week I didn't really expect anything different.

Challenges: My old habit when I got sick/hurt was to eat constantly until i was better (really terrible habit). I need to remind myself not to sacrifice the long term for a short term issue.

Lesson learned: Trust that measurement loss will work out to a weight drop, and have faith in the plan!

Until next week, stay strong!

Hi Cumulus,

Wow, 13.4kg in 8 weeks is amazing!!! Well done!!

Must agree with Andie, it does sound like you are in "the zone" now. It so much easier once you are there as there is just no temptation no matter what people throw in front of you

Keep at it, success is happening day by day!!!
