Luckily you caught the slip-up early on! But so we learn as we go along. I actually read through my plan each weekend, just to double-check that I am still doing the right thing.

Hey KiwiC, a few mistakes this early on shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Read and reread that program!
You sounds like you are doing really well so far!

Just think how much better it was than a deviation. Give yourself time and yes do read it weekly and refer to often. I took a photo on my phone of my daily allowances etc so it's always with me.

Embarrassed to say I had a terrible weekend Started off badly on Friday, I had SUCH a sore throat and was feeling terrible. Tried to make do with hot lemon water but it just wasn't doing the job and ended up going to get some sugar free lozenges which would have been ok but somehow my warped logic figured since I had already deviated I might as well keep on going......not good! I am back on track today and prepared to have lost a week. One positive from this whole episode is that it has made me realise how much I do REALLY want to lose this weight and none of the food I ate was even worth it, it just didn't taste as great as I had remembered it to be! I can also see alot of this journey will be about changing the mindset of emotional eating which I am really bad at. So yeah a bit annoyed at myself but glad that at least I learned from my mistake and back into it with enthusiasm!!

Think I am definetly going to experiment a bit more with my recipes, had the "sweetballs" tonight and they were sooo good! The prawn cakes look amazeballs as well so they are next on my list to try

Heya Kiwi!

Hope your throat is at least feeling better

All you can do is move on from a deviation. No point dwelling on it!

Great that you learnt from it though!

I am such an emotional eater... but also it's like once I start I can't stop!

Thanks Missy!! I have looked back on the weekend and it could have been waaaaayy worse so I'm not dwelling and onwards and upwards Definetly feeling healthier today, I broke out a bit last week as well so possibly a bit more detoxing was going on. Will do my Week 2 weigh and measure on Weds as planned and hopefully I haven't undone too much of the good work so far. Sun is out and it is a gorgeous day here today

Hi Kiwic. Hope your feeling better. The colds and flus must be doing the rounds, I was under the weather last week too. Not much fun. But put it behind you and carry on, you cant undo what has been done. Just get back in the saddle and carry on the best you can.

Seriously starting to worry that I keep self sabotaging!! I'm really disappointed in myself yet again, the plan (apart from first few days) has not been hard, I haven't been hungry and I lost 5kgs in 2 weeks!! It's like I am finally getting somewhere and being successful with it and I have to go and ruin all my good work *sigh*. Once again will keep on trucking, I know I won't be successful if I keep deviating - what on earth is wrong with me?!?

I so hear you. Once you deviate it's SO hard to get back on track.

You really just have to go cold turkey and just be 100%!

I started a thread a while ago about what helps you stay on track and everyone had some good tips - so do a search for that

You could join Caz and I in our 10 day deviation challenge we're being deviation free for 10 whole days - at this stage I'm thinking man that's hard going - but I know I can do it and I know you can too!

I also think it's important to not dwell on the deviations. Don't get down - just take it each one day at a time and each day tell yourself that you will not deviate today. Breaking it down into little chunks of time helps me. I often think of deviating but then think to myself "Just wait till after Meal 2" then Meal 2 comes around and I feel fine and then I might think "Have your fruit instead and see how you go" then I feel good then I go "Ok push it out to after Meal 3" and by then - whatever was tempting me has long gone or stopped playing on my mind so much and I feel satisfied that I've had all my meals without deviating.
