Do let me know what you think of that link and its content. Could its learnings be something that helps you to maintain going forward? You did say that your Refeed/maintenance processes haven't been all that good.... I think they are KEY, so do spend a bit of time reading others' thoughts around both of these. Also, do reread YOUR own words. This diary is easy to find, but if you can't find your earlier ones, call on me - I'm sure I can dig them up if necessary. As always "knowing thyself" is super-important - and how better than to read your own words? Good luck this time around Ms J - keep on trucking, Koh

Just a big happy hushpuppy I haven't "done" Cohens - Asy knows me from way back - she invited me to "take a look" here - I did, loved it, and stayed... And me? I'm a tall skinny-ish bloke (BMI ~25.5) and have been this way forever, so I haven't faced (weight-wise) what you all have !! |

Oh here I am a year later and wondering once again if I should do this program again to get my extra weight off. I did not have a go at it a year ago. I think I need a new plan if I do it. Thank your for your message from a year ago! Good advice to read my own words and I will look at the link you recommended as well. Thank you!

I keep running into you today !! Anyway, I took a look back at one of your posts from a year ago, in whihc you said this "It truly is harder to maintain than to actually lose it!" And I think I can tell you why that might be Ms J - you see Refeed is a "testing ground" that is set up to provide warnings to you of foods that might be a problem to you in future. If you don't complete Refeed, then you miss out on some stuff that you perhaps NEED TO KNOW. e.g. I may be that (say) bananas create havoc for you when you eat them. If you didn't know that, then you might go on eating them because you love them, and whammo - the old "fat factory starts again". Note, it seems to me unlikely that bananas would do that - my point was simply that Refeed allows you to "test re-introduced foods" in a way you can't test them when NOT on Plan. Do go again with a Plan, and DO do Refeed - I suspect you won't know how good it can all work until you do. Rock on Ms J, Koh

Hi Kohinoor! Thank you for your responses to my multiple posts! You are so right and I like your wording that the refeed is the testing ground. I must remember to remind myself of that when the time comes.
I have done it and sent in an application for a new program! I just did it a few minutes ago and it's the weekend so I am probably not going to hear back until Monday. I read all of my previous journal entries and I am so glad they are still here for me to refer to! Thanks again for your advice and encouragement!! |
