Default Re: Post Refeed Accountability

Not sure if I did the ticker info correctly?? I gave 67 as the target number - Would that be correct? I would be happy to be 66-67 so I guess that is 2.5 lower than where I am so it is right enough for me. Isn't that confusing for a Sunday morning

Visitors for lazy lunch....off to cook
Looks like a few more days of CMF ahead this week, but for me, my will power seems "stronger" if there are fewer choices and a warm bus seat (ie - original plan food).

Hi Koh, based on what was said in that thread you referred me to (and thanks! I've sent a shortcut to my desk top for easy access), I don't believe it was emotional hunger. I have been questioning myself if I'm eating between meals "am I really hungry? do I need this? why am I eating this?" and putting it in my little exercise book that I'm using for refeed. I have to get my head around this in case I end up falling off the wagon, and I want to succeed as best I can this time around. I must have made some improvement, as in the past all I could think about was chocolate etc etc but now I'm thinking more about eating good healthy food with the family - salads/veg etc, and really looking forward to that. So, (sigh) I dont' know. No point stressing about it though...what happens, happens, I'll deal with it then I guess...

Hey everyone I have changed the name and summary of this thread - let me know if you like it!

I am glad weigh in is not until Thursday as I need to get back on my maintenance bus and have some normal weekends which don't involve me cooking 3 course meals!

Just curious - has anyone noticed a difference in skin shrinkage since starting maintenance?

Wow Koh. That was one cool post. Thanks for responding to NGU. I found that a great read. btw: how do I keep a track of a particular post like that? Is there a way to just save that post for future reference. Ha I see NGU has sent a short cut to her desk top. Obviously I am not so computer savy cause not sure how to do that...... oh dear..... showing my age I guess.

Easiest way I find is to open a Word document (which you can Save to your Desktop if you wish) and pop all those "gems links" into the document. I presume you are familiar with Copy and Paste, yes?

All you need is the Address bar contents (the URL if you know that name). If not, look ABOVE the NewYou flowery banner at the top of the page. Above you (might) have a Yahoo toolbar, or perhaps a google toolbar - keep going up (looking Left) until you see "Address" then, to the right of it, that long skinny white rectangle that often contains words starting with "http://" THAT is the address, or URL of whatever you are looking at, or about to look at.

That address can be saved in your Favourites, or, if you left click on it, the letters will all turn blue (i.e. you have "selected"them). Then, having selected them, you can then Copy them, then Paste them into your Word document. From there, you'll find you can simply click the saved Link to take you straight back to that entry at any time.

Hope that helps,

Koh

PS As an exercise, why not copy/paste the following link into a Word document :-
http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=302448#post302448
... then, see what happens when you click on it Or click first.... whichever.

Ok, I'm in now too.

I'm pretty sure I'll forget to log in on the "official" days, so I shall post on Monday mornings which means it'll include the weekend carb weight.

So:

Maintenance start weight: 62.5
Cohen Range: 60-63
Personal alert: 65
Total panic weight (!): 66

3.10.10: 65.3

I've had no desire for unhealthy food/booze, but I want to reduce my "corridor" of weight variation a kilo or two so I think I need to be aware of the amount of yogurt/fruit etc I'm eating. So this week (with the exception of girlie lunch and shopping with friend tomorrow) will be very strict/weighed and see how I go.

Also interested in the skin shrinkage question!

Yahoo - welcome Future Yummy Mummy and Gug.

FYM - at the moment I have been posting weekly until we are all up and running and settled into maintenance mode - if you choose to post monday I will take that figure and use it for the thursday stats. So, all good. Welcome

Gug - so glad you came back to join us. The forum support is fabulous and you can take from it what you choose.

The concept with this thread is to have a mutual meeting place where we post our weight so we don't gradually increase in weight and then quietly disappear. Everyone in this group is supportive to help keep the other accountable and facing reality if the kg's are increasing. By posting regularly (weekly) you nip any outbursts in the bud and come back on track sooner rather than later. Its confronting having to do that - just ask me!!!!

The object is to maintain your weight LONG term at a preset figure that you are comfortable with based on your bodies response to program.

Thursday is D day - Figures requested at each posting:

Cohens Goal Range:
Your personal alert maximum (ie: within 3kg of your top cohen goal range or a close figure
to that that is a boundary line for you, your call and like Jlou often can be your bodies call)
Weight today

Hope I have explained that clearly. Cheers Narelle

Oww how very exciting.

My Stats:

Cohens goal weight: 60-63kg
Started refeed @: 62.9kg
Ended refeed/start maintenance @: 62.5kg
Panic weight current is 65kg but this could change as I am now aiming to get to the bottom of my goal weight so that figure will need to be readdressed. Weight as of yesterday was: 64.1kg - I will weigh again on Thursday so I fall in line with everyone else. I have been back on plan 100% for 2 days and I am feeling really good, I don't want to weigh everyday, drove me just a little bit more nutz that I already am before.

Sorry those stats aren't very clear with all those explanation notes, I will make it easier to understand on official Thursday.

Morning all! Mumma its 0625 already are you having a lie in (lol)!
I need to engage my foggy caffeine free brain to work out what I am supposed to post.

Cohen Goal - 68 to 71
Personal Alert - 71
Current weight - 70.6

Bit of a worry how 'good' I'm having to be just to maintain. Sure glad this thread posts on a thurs rather than, say a monday.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Unhappy Re: Maintaining weight and accountablility for life!

Morning all and a big welcome to our newest members! Great to have you back GUG. I agree daily weighing does your head in - forcing ourselves to weigh in weekly here is a good way for me to stay accountable without going insane!

Well bad scales for me today:

Cohens range 59 to 62
End maintenance 64.3
Personal alert number 67kg
Panic number (I like this new addition!) 69kg
Today's weight: 67.8kg

I started Monday at 66.8kg but have been sick all week and really just not prepared any lunches so have eaten what was available. No binges just the wrong food types.

Am thinking of trying some days on the bus to shed this excess as fast as possible but will post in my diary about that as don't want to hog this thread! But watch this space next week for some nicer scales!!!!!

Good morning lovely maintainers, well the last couple of days haven't been so good weight loss wise, although in saying that I have ramped up the exercise a fair amount. My weight is a stagnant but my clothes fit better, maybe I am developing some of that muscle stuff I hear people worshiping

Cohens Goal Weight: 60-63kg
Personal Alert Maximum: 65kg
Current Weight: 64.0kg

grrr back to slow loses already, am definitely only going to weigh once a week.

Hello all you lovely maintainers !
Welcome slender ff !!!! No, I didn't get to sleep in this morning ( one day soon I will ! ) but did leave rolling out of bed a bit lateish so cooking and eating was on the priority list not recording my weight but the fact that I have a small gain to record MAY have been cramping my style !!! SO what is it ? Okay okay I am getting to it. Actually you will have to wait a minute because I need more emoticons so I have to go reply again !!

Ha Ha - seems like we all like to keep ourselves under pressure by staying on the edge! I am down to my boundary line which is lovely BUT it needs to be less so I have a little room to move. Oh Oh Oh - work in action.

Be back later with the group updates. Cheers Narelle

Thanks for the PM to remind me Narelle!

So:

Maintenance start weight: 62.5
Cohen Range: 60-63
Personal alert: 65
Total panic weight (!): 66

3.10.10: 65.3
7.10.10: 64.1

Been very strict the last few days (apart from lovely curry with GF on Tuesday (minimal rice) and it's showing. Have also stopped fruit during the day, and just having as after-dinner treat. Want to get average down to 63 if I can, average is prob 64.2ish at the moment.

And FF: dead right. It's bloody hard work just maintaining! (But worth it every time I look in a mirror....)

Oww a personal accountability day and only moving the ticker on that day is a brilliant idea. I could wear my ticker out changing it all the time my weight fluctuates so dramatically. Now I guess I need to choose a date that I am going to remember, maybe the first of each month.
