Great loss for the first month, Katie. Have you voted in Andy's poll here: http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5244?

There's a difference between a large population of overweight people and a large population of people who want to lose weight. I've had so many who have commented on my 'amazing' losses, but have some reason why they couldn't start a diet like this.

Default Deviation experiment

Well that sux I just did a huge novel on a deviation and how crappy I felt and I wasn't even logged in for some strange reason Guess you guys got lucky, didn't have to hear all about it.

Thanks for dropping by Soon and AJ. Hope all is well in your cohen journey.

Since I have already vented, and the main reason for this blog is to remind me how crappy I felt after the bbq, I am going to keep it short and sweet.

DONT EAT MEAT!!!! at least not the stuff that's not on Cohens

Just remember it sitting heavy in the tum, feeling nauseous, almost vomiting. And having to go have a nanna nap. Although it looked good, it didn't taste good. And that was only 1 tiny fatless chop and a snag, 3 slices of spud and 2 pieces of bread. I have never felt so full and stuffed since being on the diet. I certainly prefer my cohens food nowdays.

Note to self: Dr Cohen is right, food is your medicine.

Ok since I am nowhere near my set of scales. Won't be till Sunday. I guess I will have to wait to see what damaged was caused. Nevermind I did it knowing I would have an extra 2 weeks on diet to make up for it. Which considering the before cohens made me ill, then I think I might find it very hard to give up this diet anyways.

Ok thats enough venting

Take care all

Bye

Katie

No deviation is wasted if you learned a lesson from it, Katie. Seems you learned a lesson you will remember.

Hi

Thanks for dropping by AJ. I agree about the Dev. I did it as a trial to see the effects, kind of a scientific experiment. Now I know how pre-cohens food feels, I won't be touching them with a barge pole. BTW I like your new pic AJ, looking skinny there

Well I finally got to weigh myself for my weekly weigh in. Since it was on Monday morn instead of Saturday I will have to use those figures anyway.

Well after my Dev, I thought the response would have been more severe. But luckily I still lost 1.6kg bringing me to a total of 12kg loss to date and a 14" all round loss off my round bits.

That's 12 big tubs of marg, 3 bags of oranges, or all of my study folders. Woooaahh how on earth does one carry that around with them

Well I'm definitely 100% back on Cohens and beginning my 6th week. How quick that flies.

Well thats it for now

Take care

Katie

You are doing well with your losses so far Katie.
Its amazing when you look at the weight of something ..or try to carry something heavy and then realise you use to carry that extra around all the time. Great motivation I think.
Happy days

Hi

Thx for dropping by STB.

Very true that. It keeps the motivation happening when you seen such quick and constant results. Makes it all worthwhile.

I have to carry those study folders in a wheelie suitcase. I cant carry them around. Tooooo heavy No wonder my knees were cracking a bit

Hi Kate, thanks for visiting my diary. It looks like you are flat out busy, and doing an awesome job sticking to Cohens. I bet you're feeling fantastic, and that supervisor who sneered at you in the beginning will be sneering on the other side of her face. Keep up the good work. Your way in front now, and have been doing this too long to go back. Isn't that great?

Hi Katie

I just saw your stats in the weight and cm losses thread and thought I'd drop in and say hi. And also congratulate you on such amazing losses. You are really firing, clearly this diet really suits you. Now the deviation is over and done with and you know how great the feeling of being 100% is compared with the alternative I can see you're going to whip this weight off really quickly.

Well done

x

Loulou

I buy spring water in 12 litre and 15 litre containers at the supermarket, Katie. I have trouble lifting them. No way could I carry around two 15 litre containers, but that's what I used to carry on my body. It's almost frightening to look at those containers.

Default 6th week ended

Hi

Thanks for dropping by 2ndgo, Lucylou and AJ. I tried the trick with 3 x 4kg bags of oranges. Just about broke my arm . You're right AJ, when you give your losses context, it gets scary just how much a few kilos add up to.

Well thats 6week done and dusted. Not so good a loss this week, since Monday it is a 0.8kg loss. Better than a gain anyday. It is almost TOM for me, so the growing boobs cancelled out my 1/2"" losses on my waist and hips. Well not to worry, Im due for a large loss when it arrives.

Well must confess I was naughty on Friday. I deviated once again. Seems I can resist all forms of cakes, scones, chockys etc but those horrible little party pies and sausage rolls are my undoing. Terrible blowey cold freezing day, and I felt like something hot, so I had 2. Was very disciplined and only had 1 of each. So I guess that is going to haunt me this week.

So to keep me on the straight and narrow, I have just gone and bought some size 16 jeans. OMG I haven't bought that size in a loooooong time. And they fit. A little tight around the belly, but wow, what a buzz that was. My size 18's that I couldnt fit into a month ago are now bagging in the bum and waist.

So to date, 12.8kg loss, and 14" loss.

Ok take care all

Katie

It's exciting wearing smaller sizes, isn't it. Well done on the size 16s, and the 18s now getting baggy. 14s next......

Try holding the tape measure out at your original measurements when you measure, Katie, then imagine the space being filled with ugly fat.

Default 7th week done

Hi

Thanks for dropping by LiM and AJ. Yup feels good shopping and wearing "normal" size clothes. Loving it. Haven't tried the tape trick yet AJ. Even though I am losing heaps on the scales, my measurements seem to be crawling along. Still going down, so that's all good.

Been a good girl, 100% Cohens this week. Feeling good for it. Have been having to take an extra Chromium in the arvo, because I have been feeling weak and shakey 1/2 way thru my arvo shift. That seems to be helping a lot.

Well great loss this week. 1.8kg and 2.5" bringing me to 82.3 and 162.5". Can't complain about that.

Starting to hear all the "OMG's you've lost weight" etc etc. Even heard "Don't lose anymore, ya looking good". AS if, Im still an 80's girl and not stopping till I hit the 60's. Always did prefer the retro look, not into leg warmers and rugby size shoulder pads Not to mention the big hairdos.

Ok other than I can't believe how fast this has gone by. Staring wk 8 today. It's been a pretty normal week. Take care all

Katie

That's a great loss, Katie. Don't listen when you do start to hear people telling you that it's time to stop. I'm so tempted to respond with something like "Yes, I see I'm smaller than you now."

Default 8th week all over

Hi

Thx for dropping by AJ. Haha never thought to respond like that. Feels good when ya see someone who was close to your old size, and feeling "skinny" next to them . That girl who said that is my best friend and she's tried for years to lose weight. I've told her all about the Cohen's diet, even showed her the plan, but she thinks it is way too strict. But if ya want results ya have to work for them. Simple as that!

Ok another 100% cohens week. Feeling great and all that. Had a 1.7kg loss bringing me to 80.6. (was hoping to report a 70's number) and a 3" (7.5cm) loss. I guess I can thank TOM arriving that helped pushed the inch loss this week.

I've been pondering my reaction to my loss this week. I was a little bit disappointed not to hit the 70's. Kinda like a magic marker for me. Been nearly 20yrs since I was there. Then I thought, well my losses are still very fast, very large and I will get there!!! no doubt about it!! Surprised that I can feel that way. I guess one gets used to losing nearly 2kgs a week, and want more . That's human nature I guess (at least mine)

Other than that, all is well.

Take care all

Katie

You are shedding it with the best of them Katie - there aren't too many that are lucky enough to be dropping Kgs at that rate.... The average seems to be around 1.3 to 1.5 - so lap it up girl !!! And, yeah, I guess it is human nature to "want more" - but, que sera sera eh? You're going well !!

Are you running out of clothes yet? Or are you "shopping" in your wardrobe?

Hi all

Thanks for dropping by Koh. Haha I've bought a few new things but like the ike I am, I'm just using string to hold me duds up . That's until I get a lot closer to my goal weight.

Well I hit 80.3 kg on Sunday Morn. And today a whole 500gm increase. Gawd knows where that came from. I have been daily weighing for awhile, and this is the most it's jumped since the 900gm in the 2nd week.
Didn't think this could mess with my mind, but I know otherwise now. (No known dev I can recall)

I'm hoping it is gone by tomorrow. Have been on the toilet almost every 1/2 hr

Well that's all for me tonite. Open exam tomorrow. Take care all

Ok all is well with the world

The 500gm dropped off overnight along with an extra 300gm bringing me to a total of 80.0 kg. That elusive 79.9 kg is still hiding . Hopefully I will see it first thing tomorrow morn

Well I passed the open book exam. What a joke. It had all the answers there, it was kind of hard to get the questions wrong. HaHa but I managed to get 3 wrong . Just glad that's over. 9 more lectures and this year's study is over.

Hard to believe xmas is soooo close . How do cohenite's cope through xmas dinner? I'm thinking of lashing out and having a seafood dinner. That way I can spoil myself with some cray, crab and prawn. YUMMMMMMMMMMM. (of course all within my limit). Am also debating having a tiny slice of xmas pud. Wouldn't be xmas without pud. That one I will ponder if it is worth it. See how the rest of the year goes.

Ok that's it for me

Gnite

Hi Katie

I'm sure you'll be sub-80 tomorrow - how great must that feel!

As for Christmas, it's still a ways off - any chance you'll be done by then? My friend is coping with her food cravings by typing emails listing ALL the foods she wishes she could have. That's her method of release and it's worked so far - she hasn't actually eaten anything on that list yet!

Default Day 3 Plateau

Hi

Thx for dropping by Francesca. I'm hoping to be done by xmas but who knows. I'm now on day 3 of a plateau. First time since starting this diet that this has happened.
Im still on 80.0 kg. At least Im not going up. It is just that I want to hit the 70's sooooo badly that my body is teasing me. Oh well. I do know that my cms are shrinking so time for some toning instead.

So to celebrate hitting the 70's or in my case sitting on top of it, gf's and I are off to see the movie "Mumma Mia". I got that tune going in my head since we decided it. Just love ABBA.

Ok take care all

Happy losing

Katie
