Thank you so much everyone!! Coasting a long pretty well. Weight has stayed stable the past couple of days. Think its getting near TOM so it's to be expected. Im still feeling really good.

I find when I work, I have no appetite at all. I come home and don't feel like eating even though I have gone a bit over 6 hours without anything but water. I do eat but I feel like I'm forcing it down. I thought maybe it was because I drink water but at the most its 1.25 litres over the 6 hours I work. Today I only drank about 600mls while I was at work. So it's not that. It has to be better than starving anyway.

I can see a massive difference in my shape. My collar bones have reappeared too. Still not into my size 18 work pants, but wont be long.

This EP is cray cray crazy. So December 18 I was 122.6kg. Today I'm 110.6kg. It's nuts in the best way possible. A dress I bought back then which has a zip starting at the bottom of my back - you know, the part that is going to look super sexy when I'm at goal - it didn't zip up at all when I bought it, now it zips up ALL THE WAY!!

I'm averaging 2kgs every 8 days. More than happy with that. Some days I get carried away with the water. My bottle is 1.25 litres so I am having 4 which equals 5 litres. Occasionally I forget and think it's 5 bottles. Madness.

I've been working a fair bit lately. Honestly when its that TOM I don't know where my brain goes. Day 1I find it hard to focus and I bump into things, and just do stupid things and I'm exhausted. TG that day is over.

I bought a body scrub - just a cheapie from K-Mart. It's called Sunset coconut and peach. Its really gritty like salt or sugar and it smells mmm mmm. The packaging is beautiful and it leaves my skin feeling A-Mazing!!
It's so smooth. I need to get more, but am honestly thinking about using the tub it came in when I've used it all and just making my own.

Hope everyone is going well. Going to check out some diaries!!

Ok so I just checked out how much water I should be drinking for my weight. American sites say 1/2 to 1 oz for every pound you weigh. So I converted 110.6kg to pounds = 243. blah blah blah. I didn't go the 1 oz only the 1/2 which was 121.5 oz. Converted to liters its 3.6. So I need to cut back. I'm not saying it's going to be easy. I think I'm addicted to it. Is that weird? Anyone else been addicted to water? For once in my life I have a healthy addiction but yep I still manage to make it unhealthy - figures!! LOL

How lovely that you can do your zip up all the way on your dress BT!! What a great feeling! Love the body scrubs - they smell divine! Great idea to make your own - I'm sure there are many recipes on the internet. It's also a good way to keep busy so we don't think about food all the time, lol.

BT,

You are doing an amazing job, well done!!

Congratulations on the zipper on your dress, it is such a great feeling to fit into something when you couldnt for such a long time. I remember buying my first size 18 dress the last time i was doing cohens in 2012. I was always a size 24-26 and to fit into an 18 was awesome.

I am now back into the size 24-26 and on my way down past the 18 in time.

Thanks for sharing your journey, looking forward to going along for the ride.

Thanks for the diary visits everyone, the encouragement is very appreciated.

The joys of learning a new job. Sigh. I love the job but hate being the new person. I'm lucky I'm not the only new person. There are 2 of us. Mistakes are to be expected but I hate making them. Everyone at work is great, no pressure from them - they think I'm doing great. I put the pressure on myself because I am a perfectionist. Grr. I really need to stop being that person and chill a bit when it comes to work. I guess I'm used to working for harsh bosses who pretty much expect perfection straight up. It's a pretty fast paced job, I'm there a lot on my own and there is a mountain of stuff to learn and sometimes I feel like my brain goes numb.

My last boss was so bad it took me a couple of years to feel comfortable enough to go back to work after leaving there. So this wasn't just about money for me but also about building my belief back up in myself.

As far as Cohens is concerned, I wont deny I'm impatient, while at the same time making sure I enjoy the journey.

I hate it being that TOM. Just makes me waaaayyyyy too sensitive. I hate crying but a couple of times my confidence was shaken at work ( I kept it together there) got home and even now just feel like crying. I think its a build up of pressure. I should go and walk it off but I just been nearly 7 hours on my feet and I have another 6.30am start tomorrow so I am trying to stay awake so I can sleep tonight but not overdo things. I think my brain just needs a rest lol.

It will get easier, and so will everything anyway as I lose more weight. I'm only going to feel better and have more energy too so things will improve.

I am still feeling really fired up. Just needed bit of a whinge lol. Our weather has been absolutely flipping beautiful. So spoilt.

Thanks Soleil. Yes headspace is good atm. I know I will find it difficult at certain points but I'm hoping I have workable strategies to get me through. Your zumba classes sound good. I am keen to get to the gym but I know I will over do it. I'm just going to keep focusing on the EP and learning my new job. No point in taking on too much and burning myself out.

Im really tired this week. Getting up at 5.00am for 6.30am start is beginning to take its toll. I have one more morning then a day off. Next week it's a night and 4 afternoons then I get 2 days off in a row. Can't wait.

A woman at my work was asking how I lost so much in a month, and when I told her said she has done Cohens before. She wants to catch up with me about it so I think she may be considering going back on it too! That would be awesome.

Hey there BT,

How do you find doing shift work with Cohens?
I used to do shift work and found it hard to stay on track.

I am lucky that i work Monday to Friday, however i do 7am to 5pm so reasonably long days.

Good luck with your work colleague, it is great to have someone along for the journey with you. You can encourage and support each other.

Hi Blondetastics,

Just been catching up on your diary. You are doing so WELL! Im inspired. Wonderful you can fit into that dress. I'm so pleased for you. Regarding the water, I think there are worse things you could be indulging in. If you need more than 3.6Lt I don't think it's the end of the world, just know it may (or may not) cause a little water retention, but to be honest I'm not convinced it does. The more the better I would have thought.

Thanks Donzie!! I have always managed around 4-5 liters well. I have been hospitalized for severe kidney infections and I tend to dehydrate easily so I don't really think it's a problem for me and no I definitely don't suffer fluid retention. I've noticed at work when I do the morning shift - as I'm on my feet for 6+ hours I have fluid build up around my outer ankle bone. On the days I work later I don't because I fit most of my water intake in before I start. All I know is my skin and hair seem much less dry than they were before I upped the water. So I'm kind of in 2 minds what to do.

Hi Booboo!! My shifts kind of fit between my meals. I have breakfast before my 6.30am start, I'm home just before 1 so I can have lunch. If I do an afternoon starting at 12.15 I have lunch before I go and I'm home around 6.30 for dinner. At night I start at 6.15pm so have dinner first then I'm home at 11.30 so I don't eat after that. I tend not to get hungry at work and only drink water there. So it fits with Cohens very well.

I got into the size 18's and they are comfortable now. It proves that even though there isn't action on the scales we still lose. I was 110.6 a couple of days ago and they were too tight. I'm 110.6 today and they fit fine. So I know the cms are going even if the scales haven't moved.

Yawn! Lol BT - I get tired just thinking of your early starts! I am a night owl and don't do mornings well. It sounds like you have your shifts and meals well planned and you're obviously doing everything right to be getting such good losses on the scales and in centimetres. What a great feeling to get into your size 18's comfortably! You'll be in 16's before you know it so enjoy the 18's while you can

I was a bit over it by yesterday Louise, but had a good morning at work and a sleep in the afternoon and felt great last night, really relaxed and happy. Have today off then back tomorrow night, so a decent amount of time off to get some things done.

600g loss today, and it's so noticeable in my clothes. The difference in the last 3 days is ridiculous. 7 kgs left to get back to where I was last June. It took 6 months for me to put on 19.6 of the 37kgs I lost last year. It's taken under 2 months for me to lose 12.6 of those. People say it's easy to put on and hard to take off but I know it's not going to take me the 6 months it took me to put on. If we are dedicated to the plan and just do it, the weight isn't difficult to get rid of.

Mostly for me it comes down to what I "believe" I want more. I know I don't want to sacrifice what I really want for what I might feel like right now. So far what I want right now has been aligned with what I want long term. I am caring about myself enough to want to treat my body well and not punish it with rubbish and lack of care. No one can make us stop caring about ourselves, we give people that power over us. Looking after me is my priority. At the end of the day, putting self care first enables us to care for our children and others more effectively. If we don't, everyone will suffer.

Thank you Boo!! Yep it's great. Down again today.

Got my new work shirts, I was worried they were still going to be tight on me but they fit perfectly. I only ordered them near the end of January. So it's just more good news.

Finding being on my feet for hours on hard floors is getting a lot easier too. The first few shifts were killer. It could be that the weather has been a bit cooler my last 2 shifts too.

You're more comfortable being on your feet because you're carrying less and less every day I was carrying my food shopping around town the other day and goodness me it was so heavy. The bag would have maybe weighted 2-3kg, the same weight I had lost at that stage, which then made me think there is no wonder I feel so much better as that is off my body now, I don't carry that 24/7 anymore.

You're doing brilliantly!!!

Sooo glad it's the weekend!! Been a busy week but had fun doing fire training playing with fire extinguishers putting out fires.

Weight is still headed down in the right direction. Well I have been so busy at work I haven't had time to get through my water, and haven't gotten close to 5 liters. I feel stressed and my brain has been buzzing. I just haven't felt hydrated enough and had brain fog. Definitely a difference. I'm looking forward to getting back into the water drinking over the weekend. I'm sure I feel less stressed when I get enough in.

As far as deviations or anything are concerned, I don't feel remotely tempted, aside from when I was at work and had people coming in buying iced coffees - my weakness, or lemon lime and bitters. I was dying of thirst. But waited till I could drink my water. More clothes are loose on me now and I can fit into some new ones. Work shirts are looser already. Just looking forward to chilling for 2 days now - heaven.

I eat pretty much the same things everyday - yoghurt, chicken or steak and stirfry veggies for lunch, fish or crumbed calamari using my cracker allowance for dinner and a load of water. Some nights I will have a glass of pepsi max. Tomorrow I'm treating myself to mango mmm mmm!! Hope everyones week has been great.

Sounds like you've had a great week BT! I love lemon lime and bitter too but don't enjoy it as much as my coffee. Well done for staying strong. I'm so glad you can see the results of your hard work by your loose clothes - in many ways it's nicer than seeing the numbers on the scales. Numbers don't always tell you how much you're shrinking or make you feel as good as loose clothes do.

I hope you enjoyed your mango - yum!!
