Hey angelbum,

Great to hear from you. Glad to see the wedding went well and it was only one day. You did your best considering. You're still losing so that's the main thing!!!!

Hi all,

well I've been away from the beloved forum for a few days - had to make a very last minute trip to Longreach over the weekend for work - and with no scales and no program to refer too - I deviated.

I am disappointed that after 5 weeks being so good - I've had a set back... the big question is just how much damage I've done. I was working the whole time so there was no chance to go find a shopping centre to buy tuna/salad etc so I'd order fish/steak with salad but the only breakfast things I could find was bread-related at the motel - toast/toasted sandwhiches etc. Then, after a huge work weekend, I indulged in some red wines last night. Naughty, naughty, naughty. It's like I said to myself 'well you have deviated, you may as well enjoy a drink tonight and start afresh tomorrow'. So while I am disappointed in myself - that's exactly what I'm going to do. Really enjoyed my yoghurt this morning and just had a yummy tuna sald - and am even more determined to get to my goal weight asap. I won't weigh this Wednesday - I'll wait til next week when I have hopefully undone this damage.

Would love to hear some stories about those of you who have deviated and then got stuck straight back on track - so I'm off to trawl the diaries.

have a great day

Oh darl, these things happen. As much as we try to prepare, sometimes the odds are against us. However you have got back on the wagon again. So just dwell on the future, not the past and I read that when you deviate, it means a week of hard work lost. So if it is a week, you will make it up. You have done so well since you started, just remember that and be kind to yourself.

Hi Angel,

It sounds like you did the best you could with the situation you were put in(except for the wine). Try not to stress. Read my diary. I had a shocking week last week but I am now on my 4th day back on track. The first couple of days were hard but I tried to keep busy to keep my mind off food. I am sure that any damage will be undone with a week back on plan for both of us. Maybe even just a few days for you.

Stay strong .

Rach

Hey NL, Rach, Determined and soon2bslim,

Thank you all so much for your encouraging words. We have such a great support network here don't we!

Just finished a very yummy dinner of garden salad with balsamic and some beautiful red meat my husband crumbed with a crushed premium and herbs - it was divine!

So I'm completley focused and back on the wagon. I know day 4 was the worst for me in the beginning so I'm not looking forward to Thursday - but I'm going to write myself some notes now about why I'm doing this and how great I was feeling before I stuffed up - so that I can read them when I'm feeling like crap later this week.

Thanks again everyone!

So day 4 after my naughtiness - and I'm feeling surprisingly good. I 'm just trying to really focus on the positives of this program - rather than how hard it can be at times. I decided to jump on the scales this morning to see the damage from the weekend - and I've lost 300 grams since last week... I almost feel a bit guilty that I still went down considering I had those vinos - but it has kept me positive and I'm just thinking about how much more I can lose without deviating. Today is day 10 of 10 at work for me - so I'm about to go into 4 days off and I can't wait. It's gorgeous weather here at the moment so I'm thinking about going for some walks and maybe the beach to enjoy the sunshine.
talk soon lovely forum friends.

Hey angel,

Good to hear from you and that you are doing well. Even though you feel like you deserve the loss, you do cos you just got right back on that wagon and are riding along just nicely. The road of life is full of potholes and sometimes as much as we try to avoid them, outside factors just impact too much and we fall in them. But you have just ridden this one out and your'e back safely on your journey!

Enjoy the 4 days off and be kind to yourself.

I feel amazing! that's right, amazing!

Just had the most amazing massage - it went for over an hour and I just feel so relaxed and rewarded. Strange thing though - I found my muscles noticed the 'ouchy' bit more - you know when you get the 'good pain' from a massage. I"m hoping it's cos there's less fat shielding my muscles these days!

Well I had a little sneaky peak on the scales this morning and I was pleasantly surprised. Down about 800grams since Thursday - and while i hope I don't jinx myself, I've decided to update my ticker because I haven't been 62-something for so long! It's like a magical mark that I've never been able to get to - and now that i'm there - it's like a whole new wave of motivation has kicked in!

hope everyone is having a great weekend - I'm off to update my ticker - wahoo!

Heya Angelbum. great work with keeping on track. Falling off is all behind you now. I have been updating the ticker too before official weigh in - only cos it makes me feel great knowing I'm getting closer to goal.

Won't be long before you are on refeed too!!

Thanks NL, Determined and Koh for dropping by..

Koh you know what, I didn't even realise i'd entered 'normal bmi' until you pointed it out for me...so a massive thank you! I was reading your post and was like, nah i'm not there yet...let me check my ticker, and wahoo - i'm so glad you were right! Guess I've been focusing a bit too much on the scales perhaps??

Had a big family do yesterday for my goddaughter's 2nd birthday. I ate a late lunch so I could make my excuses for not having dinner with everyone - then, when the gorgeous b'day cake comes out, my grandma says "come on you share this with me" - i was like, oh no thanks I'm trying to be good - grandma again " no no, come on" ... and shoves this little piece in my hand... i could smell the damn thing - you know that 'REAL' home made b'day cake smell - not just a wollies one...divine! My mum was there with me and she's one of the few who know I'm doing this program and she very kindly just lifted up her napkin and winked - so I plopped it on there for her to enjoy! Don't you just love mums!! he he.

next official weigh in is next week so i'm super keen to see how I've gone on the clinic's scales... don't think it'll be as big a drop as the first month but I'm still hoping for 5kgs...

Thanks again for the support girls - i'm couldn't be doing this with out you!
