Thanks Jeannie

I forced the egg down - I can't do yoghurt.....

I really appreciate your support as it is a scary decision, but I know it is the right one for me. A friend who is a nurse on the weekend and had previously worked at the hospital where I am going, asked me who my surgeon is and when I told her, she knew him and said he is wonderful. That makes me feel confident.

I think this is such a personal decision and not one that is for everyone. I am glad there is support through this forum as I would probably have bored my friends stupid with facts etc by now. That is the whoe reason I moved from the other forum as too many muscle bulders came in giving their two cents worth. I was surprised by one previous comment in my diary as I haven't come across another cohens person being unsupportive and frankly rude. Are we able to block people?? If anything, I probably know TOO much about the procedure.

I have organised a recliner and intend to lay on it for a month or so, before heading back to work. I watch those american makeover shows and can't understand when someone has a major procedure and then are back at work a week later. No thanks.

Have a great day - no loss for me today

Cheers
Sharon

Hi there

Don't really know what is going on with me at the moment. My face has broken out in heaps of pimples - certainly can't be the food I am eating. I battle hormones and this is just one of the side effects. However if I don't eat Cohens style they get so bad I won't even leave the house. It is just another reminder that I have to eat this way for life or otherwise I can't seem to control the hormones.

No movement on the scales but I am happily sitting on 56.5 but would like to be at 55 to see the doctor in 24 days - it is doable but I am happy whatever the scales sit at - all i can do is stay focused and looking at my face tonight - there is no way I would be putting any sugar near my lips - I only have to remember how bad these pimples can get. IT is funny - as a teen I never had any pimples.

Sorry it sounds like I am down and I'm not - just being realistic about what my body can handle.

Have a great night - maybe tomorrow will bring losses on the scales for all of us.

Cheers

Hi Losing,

Tell you what, if you are doing the plan 100%, and can't lose that 1.5Kg in 24 days, I'll eat my hat (as long as I can add condiments and a bit of mayo to help it down ).

Seriously, though, I can't think of ANYONE on here who loses any less than 4Kgs a month - and, with 24 days, that sounds nearer 3Kgs than 1.5Kgs (of course, you may have just entered a plateau, etc.) but hey, my money is on YOU to be below where you want to be. Just stick to it, and it's yours for the taking, seriously.

Re the pimples, that must be so maddening - especially as you are eating so well. Hmm - can't add more to that - so I'll leave further comment to the specialists - your Doc, skin specialist, etc.

Good luck, Losing - hope it all goes to plan for you,

Koh

Hi there, just read your thread and it madse me think back

I had an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck with relocation of belly button) I was at 84 kg then (30 months ago). Now that I have lost most the weight, the tummy is back where it was after the op. "Flat" It was worth every penny we paid for it. ( Our medicare did not pay, as it was deemed cosmetic surgery) It was not bad at all, certainly no worse than a ceasarean. At least you do not have a new born baby to cart around while you are recovering. So do not be put off by how much it hurt...it's OK. Just keep looking at the taut skin and you would bear any pain. So hang in there, the time will be there in two ticks.

At the worst if you have not lost the 1.5kg before the op, you probably lose it during, sooo... don't stress. good luck

Hey Losing, I can totally understand why you want to do this - I'm hoping I won't need it done when I reach goal weight but I've always had a tummy - I don't know what it's like to ever have a flat tummy but would love to find out. Good luck and research your doctor thoroughly so you know you have a good one!

I'm with you Wendy

I was a skinny little chick in my late teens but always had a pot belly - even in size 8. I think its in my genes (jeans ). Also the way I stand - I tend to push my tummy out.

Thanks Wendy Irene and Pandora.

It will be an interesting time - hopefully you guys will be around on the forum to share it with me,

It is 95 days to go and I am not too nervous YET.

I didn't have a loss today but I know it will probably happen next week.

Have a great day

I am struggling a little today - I haven't lost any for what seems ages and I have a face full of angry hormonal pimples. It feels so awful cos I must look to others as though I have this really bad diet of nothing but sugar - when in fact the opposite is true. Have been to doctors and naturapaths all with no real help. Just a bad couple of days - it will pass, and I can't lose hope but it is a little rough going at the moment.

Hope today is a good one

Cheers

Hi there Losing,  I agree with Hexi, don't quit. If the Daily's re getting too much , do it weekly. I am also having a bit of a mind battle. Do yourself a favour, if you have not already. Have a look under "tips tricks' There is a thread "Tracking spreadsheet", posted by Baloo. SMS updated and refined it, it is great, pulled me out of my pity party yesterday. Download it and fill in your detail...you'll be amazed. The you can actually see what  youshould expect, so it stops you from being so hard on yourself.

You have to be strict, but girl you gotta love yourself too, so be kind. Hand in there!!! A bit of Cohen dust for you filly

Hi Hexi and Marthie

Thanks for the encouragement. I am feeling a little better and the pimples are starting to clear. I will not give up on my goals and I am proud of the fact that I have done so well despite the hormonal issues I am having.

I have remained the same weight - which is a struggle with these bloody hormones. SO hopefully I can drop the 1.2 kilo that I would like to before I see the doctor next Thursday.

Hope you are all well

Have a good one

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Thanks Connie and Aj

Your good luck wishes worked a treat as I went down 200g this morning. One thing I have learnt is that no matter what is going on with my body if I stick to cohens the weight WILL come off - it eventually doesn't have a choice. Trick is not to give up.

Thanks again everyone for getting me through.
